Cute old school theater in downtown Cartersville. Nice intimate venue in a cool, old town. Enjoy the downtown area...

Walking into the theater felt a little nostalgic for me. It had been a while since I last sat down…read morefor a movie , especially since the Cinebistro experience is no longer around . So this time , I decided to try something new and headed over to NCG Acworth to see the Michael Jackson film . Right away, I noticed the difference in the atmosphere. Before even getting my ticket , I was greeted with rows of sweet treats and something that instantly caught my eye- movie blankets for sale . Now they was interesting. I've always been the person who brings my own blanket to the theater because it's always cold , and honestly, it just makes the whole experience feel cozier. Seeing them offered right there made me think ... okay, they get it . Someone clearly said, " Let's lean into comfort ," and I'm not mad at that at all. Another thing I appreciated was being able to choose exactly where I wanted to sit . There's something about having that control that already sets the tone for a better experience. Heck ! I may have to go potty . Who wants to come back and the seat is taken . Nice touch ! It felt relaxed , easy and welcoming- like I could just settle in and enjoy the moment . The seats were ok , I loved the numbers above the headrest to spot the seat much better . In lieu of the number located at the bottom front of the seats where they were also located. My only qualm about the seating is there's not enough foot traffic for people to pass by. But that has always been an issue with this type of layout . My toes were step on quite a bit, but at least the other movie goers were apologetic . I hate I have to touch elbows with the neighboring person but it's the way I've always remembered it. The vibe in the theater was great . No one was loud at all to be honest . I moved my head to the beat when the performance started but not enough to disturb anyone else's fun. The film was gold in my opinion . I won't spoil for anyone . Nia Long, did a wonderful job playing the role of the mother. I got a little emotional a few times because I truly miss Micheal's presence . He was a true star . And it was good to see some younger people watching. Although some looked confused . It's understandable. Micheal wasn't during their time. I have to mention the bathrooms- they felt outdated . Cleanliness could've been better , and I really wish the paper towel dispensers were touchless. I'm not a fan of grabbing a wet handle after everyone else , and a few of them weren't working anyway . Still , it's not a dealbreaker for me since it wasn't a totally bad experience. If another good movie comes out , I'd definitely come back .

Thankfully, one quick call to NCG Acworth on Thursday night turned things around completely. Shaila handled my self-inflicted scheduling mix-up over the phone with patience, professionalism, and an impressive sense of calm. She quickly rebooked me for the correct Friday night showing of Send Help -- no hassle, no stress, and not a hint of inconvenience in her voice. Beyond this experience, NCG Acworth is always an awesome, budget-friendly night out. The bottomless popcorn alone feels like a small victory, and the Lime and Vanilla Coke Zero flavor options make it even better. The comfortable recliner chairs seal the deal -- I enjoyed the movie a lot and appreciated being able to relax in style. Great value, great service, and a consistently awesome experience. Five stars all the way.

You get to see two movies one Friday at 8:30 and the other start at 10:30. The movie that played were great movies. We only made it for part of the 830 movie but our experience was to see the 1030 movie which was scream seven. It was great. I have never been to the drive-in movie theater and this experience is what I was looking forward to. They had a concession stand, but we didn't use it as we had our own food, but the vibe was amazing. Stay in your own vehicle and just put your feet up. Please turn your lights off when you go to the movie theater so we all can see the screen. I highly recommend trying this place.

The lines for spaces are quite dull once you arrive at your screen so find a space and hope nobody parks in front of you. The snack bar was sufficiently adequate with drinks, candy, and popcorn, but you can bring your own if you so choose. Tickets are $10 per person, saving anywhere from $12-$20 for 2 people to go vs a traditional movie theatre. The sound and screen quality was good for an outdoor movie and we enjoyed the nostalgia of watching a movie under the stars. Leaving was easy enough and I enjoyed my time there. For non IPIC worthy movies, the Starlight Drive In is a good alternative for a wholesome nostalgia boost!

We ordered the Chips and Queso which came with homemade salsa (delicious) and added a small Guacamole (+ $3). It was all surprisingly good and came out quickly. Our chairs were very nice and reclined well. One of them had some cracks in the head rest. My only suggestion would be cleaner bathrooms. All in all, we had a good experience and plan on coming back!

Yes this has the lazy boy fully reclining seats, yes they have a full bar of libations if you desire, for the kids they have shakes or icees as well. There is a full menu of options like ballpark chicken nachos, bbq brisket and jalapeño tots, pepperoni honey hot pizza, cheese sticks, wraps, full on pasta dishes with shrimp.., seriously this place has you strapping on the feed bag! Now look this is not a Michelin star location but the food is pretty good. Service is very good... press a button and a few seconds later, ok maybe minutes, you server is there. Yes they also have the norms... popcorn, candy (but the selection is limited), soda and such, Be prepared though... the cost is not cheap! A family of 4 with the cost of tickets and all the food... is going to run you 150 to 200 depending on what you drink. It is a full experience though... and honestly we like it!
