I've since purchased a service plan and got a very quick response (within a day) to set up a schedule for service/cleaning. We purchased a Viking spa from Eric at Grand Travers Leisure. In comparison, the price was very reasonable. Both Eric and his manager Erika were very polite, friendly and helpful. It was delivered right when they promised and put in the exact spot in the back yard that we wanted it. They coordinated with the electrician who also showed up at the time of delivery. After delivery, they did not just run off. They stayed and explained the features, operating procedure and the chemicals process. They also had a good supply of spas in stock while some other stores said you can't get a new one anywhere right now because of COVID. Some tried to sell us a refurbished one for more money. I purchased a brand-new hot tub from Grand Traverse Leisure in March 2022. By Nov of 2022, the cover collapsed with the first snowfall. I have owned hot tubs for years, one at my personal home and a second at a vacation home. The tub at my house is cheaper than the tub sold by Grand Traverse Leisure and still has a better cover that has lasted 4 years so far without issues. When I contacted Grand Traverse Leisure they indicated the cover was already out of warranty, but they advised me to call Viking who manufactures the hot tub. Viking advised me that the covers are not manufactured by them, but they usually have a 2-year warranty. Interesting, because Grand Traverse Leisure suggested that within 8 months the cover was out of warranty. I called back and spoke to Eric. Eric was notably caught off guard when I told him I had done my due diligence and found the information his company was providing me was inaccurate. His response was a warranty won't cover cracked foam from someone sitting on it. I suspect based on the snow anticipated and the lack of assistance that within a week or two the foam will be cracked. Fortunately, pictures provide evidence of this currently. When I advised him the foam was not damaged and pressed him for a viable solution, Eric said he has been doing this for 42 years, and hung up the phone on me. I could not believe it when I heard a dial tone. Buyers beware. Once your sale is over Grand Traverse Leisure will NOT go to bat for you, suggest you are being deceptive, and may even hang up the phone on you. Yikes. read more

I bought a bullfrog spa from Grand Traverse leisure December 2016. The Customer Service is nonexistent. When my tub was delivered it was never leveled, Thus one side of the tub has the Jets 3 inches underwater on the opposite side has them 2 inches out of the water spewing water across the back deck.When I bought the tub I was told how easy the chemicals were. Not so. I have not had a correct pH since I bought it. After many phone calls for service with no answers, I thought I should inform who I could..Today I stopped at the store to let them know I had not heard from anyone , and that I had to call the competitor for help. I was very disappointed with Grand Traverse Leisure Spa. I called several times to have our new hot tub I had purchased from them . To be repaired due to their error . Till this day no one has come to my home to look at the hot tub only went off pictures. And still no one has repaired hot tub. Extremely disappointed. We had an emergency...a couple were coming to our Airbnb for their honeymoon and were adamant about wanting the jacuzzi...the day before...it was working perfectly...the next day when they were to arrive...it wasn't...My wife was having a meltdown because she wanted everything to be perfect for this young newly married coupIe. I called and explained our crisis to Eric; he had Sean out in little more than an hour to assess the problem...nothing they could do at that exact moment because it was late in the day, the next day they were out (first thing in the morning) with the part that needed to be replaced and had it working perfectly...again! The couple were very happy...my wife was very happy...I'm very happy (Happy wife, Happy life...need I say more).
