John was referred to me by my other attorney in Minnesota. Being a former local, I know a lot of…read morepeople from Minnesota, especially when it comes to professionals since I'm a well known businessman. I was just about to sign on the dotted line when John Brennan changed our original deal from a $1,000 retainer to a $1,000 "deposit" and continued payment of his payables on Net/30 terms. I denied such a strange structure and made what I felt to be a fair counteroffer - a $1,000 retainer with regular replenishments based on the amount of work needed - the exact thing we agreed on within our emails to each other. Instead of working with me and acknowledging our initial agreement, John decided it was a better idea to belittle me and replied in writing that he recommend I find a "a less experienced lawyer with different economic requirements," yet John was the one who changed the deal. It had nothing to do with my ability to pay him, just his up-stuck attitude about getting as much money upfront as possible from me. Already dealing with the stress of losing my father at a young age, and now the strong possibility of losing my father's home to a greedy mortgage company, John practically put me into tears with his insensitivity. I could not believe this passive aggressive attitude was coming from a 64 year old (born in 1951) veteran attorney who was introduced to me by another firm in which I had great rapport with. In leu of his rudeness, I made a final counteroffer to John and offered him a $1500 retainer as a compromise. I have yet to hear back from John, and am assuming he closed shop for the weekend to go home to participate in other forms of bigotry. I guess once you're as old as John is, you forget to have compassion for others during their most sensitive times. I'm just hoping the alzheimer's sets in soon so he will forget about this little charade and actually do the job I'm pursued him for. Nah... attorneys like John are a dime a dozen anyways, I'll just find another one THAT DOESN'T HAVE AN ATTITUDE. P.S. An attorney lacking a confidentially clause is someone just begging for his conversations to be publicly posted to the Internet. Unfortunately for John, he didn't have one - so here's most of our conversation for the world to see. ENJOY!!! -- Daniel: [...] Because we have not worked together before, I would need you to sign a Retention Agreement by which you would be hiring me. As part of that, I would be asking you to deposit a $1,000.00 retainer payment in my Trust Account. If the final billing is more than that, I would expect to be paid the difference. If the final billing is less than $1,000.00, I would send you a refund. [...] Let me know if you are interested in proceeding in this manner. If so, I will send you the Retention Agreement. Sincerely, John B. -- Hi John, I've taken everything you've written [earlier] into consideration and would like to move forward. [...] Please send the engagement letter as well as the methods of payment you accept. In consideration that time is of the essence, payment via credit card seems the most convenient method for this. [...] -- Daniel: As requested, I have attached a Retention Agreement. If you have any questions, please call. Otherwise, please return a signed copy with your Retainer check (I do not accept credit cards). You will see that I am asking for an initial retainer deposit in the amount of $1,000.00. This is what we call an "exit retainer". That money will remain in my Trust Account until the matter has been concluded. In the interim, I will send you monthly statements and expect that those statements be paid within thirty days. The exit retainer works much the same way as a security deposit in a lease. When the matter is concluded, I would send you a final bill. If it is less than the amount of the retainer, I would send you the difference. If the final bill is more than the retainer, I would ask you to pay the difference. From a practical standpoint, this should all be done well before the end of February. [...] -- Hi John, I don't have that kind of cash flow right now. I'm able to make a $1,000 retainer that is deducted from on a routine basis, and refilled as needed, but to put up a "deposit" per se is not agreeable to me. In fact, I nary have had to work with a professional on any other means than credit basis because I have such an outstanding credit score and reputation. Thanks, Dan -- Daniel: I appreciate your situation. However, I have decided it is best that you and I not work together. Perhaps you will find a less experienced lawyer with different economic requirements. I wish you the best of success with this project. Sincerely, John Brennan

November 23rd, 3 years ago, I was involved in an accidental shooting. I had attended a house party…read moreat which I had planned to spend the night. I was shot in the left buttock while I was sleeping! Talk about a rude awakening??!!! The bullet hit 3 organs, my rectum, vagina and bladder. I required 2 major surgeries, a catheter for first 3 weeks and a colostomy bag, I named Lola, for 8 months. It was over a year worth of physical recovery with some residual bladder issues and ongoing emotional recovery from the trauma of a life changing experience. At the time this happened, I met with a couple of lawyers and was feeling extremely bummed out about the whole situation and truthfully, I had very little faith in attorneys and that they actually gave a damn about me as a person and what I was going through. Just as I was feeling I was done talking with attorneys, Pam Rochlin stopped by my house and everything changed. She was extremely kind to me and I could feel genuine empathy from her. I took Rochlin Law on for my case! Right before I was getting prepared to schedule my second surgery for colostomy take down, summer of 2020, Pam called me with extremely disappointing news. I'll never forget her voice while being told the claim had been denied by the home owner's insurance company. Pam assured me she'd do everything to find a way to fight the denial. I wasn't going to hold my breath and continued to remain positive, focusing on my upcoming surgery and recovery! I'm someone of immense faith, I had accepted my situation as part of my journey and I assumed Pam would give up on my case eventually, but I was so very wrong! She took the next couple of years to TRULY fight for me, meeting with a panel of attorneys, going above and beyond and finding any way to get me the payout that was deserved. Pam handed in the claim again earlier this year and this past summer 2022, the insurance company settled the claim, knowing they'd have Pam to face in court and she was not backing down without a fight!!! Even though Pam won for me by getting the Insurance Company to settle, she was apologetic she couldn't get me the full amount, but to me, who had accepted I might not get anything, she changed my whole world! The settlement allowed me re-start my life and Pam wholeheartedly fighting for me, restored my faith in attorneys and humanity in general. Pam was extremely kind to me and she genuinely FOUGHT for me to get what I deserved out of this unfortunate accident! I will be forever grateful to her and Rochlin Law for representing me with my case! I HIGHLY recommend working with Rochlin Law Firm, you will be made to feel like a human and you will have attorneys who actual fight for you! I named this chapter, "When I took it in the ass!" And if I have any advice for people in life, it's to "never take shit for granted, literally and metaphorically!" #WorldPeace

Incredibly unprofessional service. Embrace your self for a complete disappointment if you hire…read moreAndrew Haugen or anyone on his team. They responds to time-sensitive emails 2 weeks after. Very commonly miss deadlines and do not care to remember any details about your case. The moment the retainer money is sent, their job is done. Mike Lammers is the worst lawyer you could hire in the state. Don't believe whatever fake positive…read morereviews he is getting. I won my case and still do not recommend him. The verbal abuse this man put me through when he was working for me was something I've never experienced before. I started recording our phone calls because he started threatening dropping me as a client because he wanted more money from me even though that was not in our contract and he ended up walking away with 6 figures because we won. No thanks to him. I had never needed a lawyer before, this was for an injury, I was suing the place I got injured at. Sadly it was so clear Mike only cares about how much money he is getting or how much money is being spent. He will never care about you, will never ask how u are, what he can do to make things easier, act like he is the working for you and on your team never happened ever for me. But I did need years of therapy after working with this man and want to save anyone especially female from having a similar experience with this A** hole. The fact he won my case (it was an open shut case, so he rly gets no credit and actually cause me to not get more money which I could of definitely used and needed for future medical expenses. But since he is a moron, he coerced me into setttling. Someone who won a lot of money and is still coming to warn you about this man, should tell you all you need to know. Wish I could upload a recording of one of our meetings so people can see the real Mike Lammers.
