In my opinion, the tone of the call came across as dismissive, condescending, impatient, and unnecessarily defensive. One specific concern was that my final clarification questions were characterized on the call as "another 20 questions," even though my understanding was that I had sent a focused list of approximately 10 practical questions before signing. That characterization felt exaggerated and dismissive to me. I also did not feel comfortable being encouraged to sign the representation agreement first and discuss certain concerns afterward. For me, that was a major red flag.
