I would rate the service hit or miss. Like others have mentioned - sometimes I am delighted and other times I am disappointed, but because I love the quality and selection of merchandise so I will always come back! A salesperson who is not attentive or barely polite is a disincentive to buyers who can spend their money any place they choose. So to the Mgr of Sundance - do some coaching with your associates and select staff wisely. It's the difference between shoppers spending a couple of hundred dollars vs a couple of thousand.

The ones I wanted were not in store, but the sales person said they could be ordered and shipped to the store. When the salespeople rang up the order, they refused to take the 20% off, because it was "on in store purchases only". I call this BAIT AND SWITCH. The sales person brought out two other pairs of Kork Ease shoes in another style, but of course they were not what I wanted. This store is always hit or miss, some of the associates are nice, others not so much. The BAIT And switch tactics are not what I expected from Sundance, and I have no idea why they would do this. Have no desire to go back anytime soon if they take advantage of loyal customers.

The 3 times I was there not once did the sales girl ever greeted me or offer to help me. The first time I went in there the woman that worked there was helping another woman and then when she finished helping that woman out-she then went and greeted another woman that came in after me and asked if she could help her even though I know she saw me looking around the store. The second time I was there in Nov. the girl was reading a book behind the cash register the entire time I was there. So no I do not recommend this place nor would I spend my money here!

I really can't tell the difference between the items that I find here and the items at their regular stores to tell the truth. The quality seems to be about the same. They wash well and their stuff doesn't fade...this store seems to always have lots of sales and they have a lot more stuff on clearance than the regular store. Many shops (including a major chain) try to fill the gift space but I love to find unique items that are not everywhere. That is how I felt here. While speaking to the young lady, she told me there are only a couple of locations. This is not a chain! I like that. They had choices from gifts to decor to clothing and so much in between. My daughter has a wedding to attend next weekend and we found a dress that I thought would be perfect. It looked great on her. If there were a location where we live, I would definitely be shopping here. Happy shopping!

The other day while at work, they broke mid-step while I was simply walking. The store refuses to refund or exchange. Their excuse was that they "can't resell damaged product if they accept the return". Well, unfortunately you will also never be able to sell to this customer again. A simple refund of a measly $23 and I would have been on my way. I cannot even imagine stepping foot in their store again. You get better service from Forever 21, and that is sad. I am not familiar with other boutiques return policies, but I strongly advice you put down the cute pair of bell bottoms you see at Ensemble and go find them at another boutique who respects your business. I am so incredibly disappointed.

Who can blame Talbots for wanting to stay in business, with a customer pop that no longer knows the difference between cashmere and horsehair? The staff think they are upper crust because they aren't clerking at Dollar General, but the degree to which their manners depend on a customer's appearance rather belies their pretensions.
