This was my first time at this Nordstrom Rack's location, and I was able to find 2 outfits for myself, and quite a few for 2 of my grandkids. I spent a little over $650, and I was definitely pleased. Even though it wasn't that many items for 2T girls, I was able to get many for my 4T grandson. The store is well organized, employees are friendly, and many items to choose from. Well, I dunno. I'm not as enthused as I was over a year ago. Red-tagged clearance racks are apparently further reduced on designated days only. What I considered great deals before, become mediocre deals without that extra 25% off. Regular stock is priced less than retail, but more than what I see in TJs and Marshalls. There is also less of it. I bought a Nina Leonard polka dot dress for $25; their original price was $50 (but I suspect it never sold for that.) Dresses by the same manufacturer are at Kohl's for about what I paid. Deal or no deal?! I'll give Nordstrom Rack another look, but my expectations won't be high. read more

I had purchased a pair of shoes online and I had them shipped to my local store to save some money on shipping. I've done this many times at other retailers, and it's very easy. Kohl's is probably the best, and now I know that the Nordstrom Rack is definitely the worst. When I entered the store, I asked what I needed to go to pick up an online order. The associate pointed at the long line with 19 people waiting to make in store purchases. This definitely feels ridiculous, and now I've learned the hard way to never pick up online orders at a Nordstrom Rack. As I'm writing this and waiting in line, there are now around 30 people in line with only 2 registers open. When I finally reached the register, the cashier was friendly and upbeat, but I ended up waiting around 15 minutes in line. The same process takes 1 or 2 minutes at Kohl's. Sometimes these places can be overwhelming with stuff every which way. Not so at this store. Every section is neat and clean. The sales tag clearly marked. (Nothing is worse that getting to the register and the item that you want rings up the wrong price. Then you have to hold up the entire place so they can do a price check and everyone is giving you dirty looks in the mean time.) I like this location maybe the best of all the NR in the area. I'm not sure if it has the widest selection but I seem to always find pretty good deals here on shoes in my size. UPDATE - came back to return the clothes they wouldn't let me try on because they closed their fitting rooms at 8:10pm and had to stand in a line for 20+ minutes to make the return. Dropped by yesterday 5/15/24 about 2:30 pm to shop for tennis shoes, and stood in a line of 20+ people for 30 minutes. There were only 2 people checking out customers, and of course they were in no hurry to get help. I will NEVER shop this location again. I find something really cute every time I go to this location. It's conveniently located near the North Point Mall and other shops and eateries, the staff is pleasant and the lines are never long! I find this location to be more organized than the location in Mt Pleasant, SC which allows me to navigate the store a little easier. This store has really hit rock bottom. I recently purchased items from nordstromrack.com spending thousands of dollars per year and sometimes take returns to the store. On the last several visits the customer service with just horrendous. They literally don't even say hello or thank you they just motion you to the cash register and And you your receipt when the transaction is complete. She was not nice. She very much treated me and my family like we were bothering her. Do not shop at this store if you have a medical or mental condition that prohibits you from wearing a mask. This company does not honor medical exemptions, and feels empowered to force you to wear some thing, even if it goes against your doctor's orders. They will offer 'curbside shopping', however this is impractical for people who need to try on garments prior to purchasing them. When we tried to shop at the store today, my young, preteen daughter, was denied the chance to shop for undergarments, because her medical condition will not allow her to wear a mask. I would encourage anyone who values freedom, personal liberties, and the right to be protected for a medical condition, from spending their money at a company that feels that it's their right to discriminate. Now that we know that Nordstrom rack is discriminatory, and feels that they have more authority than a medical doctor, we will never shop here again. Nordstrom Rack should reconsider its approach to customer service. Every time I go to this location I experience some customer service issues, personnel looks bored and unenthusiastic, never willing to help; it takes forever at the register. Staff at Walmart is much friendlier than here. Today I gave this location one more chance and was soooo frustrated that I do not think I will ever come back here. I was with my three young children. When I approached the register I was hardly greeted by Ms. Patricia, J. She silently checked us out and then asked me with some resentment, how old were my children. One could see how irritable she was with kids, her attitude was so expressive. Then she asked me will you have more...what??? Excuse me? This location has a okay brands and styles. I am in love with MK, but I haven't been able to find good items here. My usual place is in Buford, and I've definitely left there with great finds. I've left the Buford location with other great bargains as well too, not just MK. Just saying... This location is comparable to the other. Both are near shopping malls and other great stores. If I had to choose, I'd pick the one in Buford because I feel like they have slightly, just slightly, better prices. As for personnel wise, both have about the same level of customer service. I think I've been asked if I needed help more times at the Buford location though. In regards to the store size, both are on the same level with the amount of merchandise they carry. read more

OOH LA LA! This store is located on North Point across from the mall in the Target Center. It is a department store that carries clothing for males and females as well as accessories such as bags and jewelry. I have been in this store several times and really have not found anything that interested me. However, today was different. They had a really nice selection of cute and fashionable clothing and SHOES. They are also in the process of a very generous clearance sale, (sandals regularly $76 now $15, dresses are also deeply discounted). The shoe department is exceptional because of the variety, (sandals, pumps, boots), styles, (fashion forward) and colors, (hot pink, green, gold etc) and extended sizes. Also if you like quality leather shoes, you have hit the jackpot. Sure you pay a little more but what you get in return, (top grain leather upper with leather soles), is more than worth the extra you pay. I am simply tired of running around town trying to find leather sandals, because man-made materials are becoming the rule rather than the exception. I REFUSE TO SETTLE ! And now I won't have to because today I found my perfect pair. I have found my new shoe store. YAAAA! Some outlet stores are stocked with items that people are generally not interested in buying. Not this store, it has really current colors and styles for men and women. I highly recommend this store for that "I want something different/special" shopping trip. read more

Nordstrom Rack locations in the Atlanta region continue to let me down. This Rack is in an old location with a very limited assortment. I purchased a couple pairs of shoes here in November and decided once getting home that they weren't very "me." I kept a close eye on the holiday return policies online (as I live 40-45 minutes away) and finally ventured out as the deadline was approaching in early February. Well, I was informed that stores had an extended return policy that had already ended on February 1st and that the February 7th deadline on the website only applied to online orders and returns. No where on the website did it mention an in-store deadline or did it mention that the later deadline just applied to online. I've worked in retail my entire career and have not seen different deadlines for different channels. Thankfully, the manager eventually approved my return, but not before I was boiling with frustration. I don't plan on shopping at Rack again any time soon. read more

Failing business. By the looks of the store they will be out of business soon, barely any inventory available on the 'rack'. I would think they would be trying to drag people in by the hair to make a sale because it is always dead inside now. But instead they are holding people back from 6 feet away and preventing people from entering the store to enforce mask policies. They discriminate against customers who are unable to wear masks due to medical conditions. FYI people who have medical disabilities are a protected class. They are cruising to get sued. read more

I am a fan of this place. I've found a lot of great deals and I like that they have an alternation lady onsite. Granted, that's standard for every Nordstrom Rack (I'm assuming), but it's still nice. I would caution people because she was misinformed when I first started shopping there. She told me that I would get a rebate at the end of the year (up to $100) for alteration fees. This only applies if you bought the merchandise at their store. She told me it didn't matter and when I didn't see my rebates, customer service explained it to me. They lady was very apologetic and send me rewards dollars to cover the cost. I also want to caution you against believing one particular associate when/if she tells you that she can open up a new Nordstrom card in your name and that way you can earn triple points. I ended up getting a letter in the mail stating that I already had an active card and the new one was cancelled, I also didn't have my routing number with me at the time she did this, so she offered to look it up on Google. This did not work. I proceeded to get calls several times a day at all hours, wanting the correct information so they could process my charge. I didn't have my checkbook with me any of those times so I had to deal with multiple calls after I told them I would call them back. Other than that, the selection is pretty good here. If you're petite and/or smaller, it may be tough for you to find what you want in your size (the things I really love are always too big), but that's how it is any time you go to a place like this. You have to be willing to dig and try a lot of stuff on. I'd recommend eating something before going in, otherwise you might get overwhelmed and give up. read more

Of the high-end outlets that are available between Sugarloaf Mills (formerly known as Discover Mills) and the North Georgia Premium Outlets, Nordstrom Rack is my favorite (I've only visited the North Point locale). I find there are more petite items available (Off 5th and Neiman Marcus Last Call barely have anything). I have scored some really awesome items at incredible prices at this location, including a beautiful BCBG black wool swing jacket just this past week. Being a tad leaner than average certainly helps, as size 0/2 and XXS pieces are usually ignored for other roomier clothing. read more

I'm giving it three stars because no matter what happens, there are insane deals here from good, solid brands. Especially for women. With that being said, the staff need to calm down a little bit when it comes to the way they handle potential thieves. My girlfriend and I were in there today and it was literally insane how many Rack employees were watching us as we wandered around. My girlfriend likes to browse very slowly, and I don't mind helping her, so seeing a couple go through items at the jewelry or underwear area would illicit suspicion, I suppose. However, I almost wanted to confront an employee after the eyes kept on us after the five minute mark. It made me nearly say, "Would you leave us alone if we showed you our ID or something?" That's not all. After two female employees hung around us for twenty minutes (literally talking about nothing important and very slowly cleaning up -- always moving near us as we progressed through the section), I started to notice a rather strong man also nearby looking at cologne for way too long. I realized he was an undercover security guard after observing him stare at everyone nearby and what they were doing. All the while drinking some Starbucks and getting progressively caffeinated. He couldn't seem to help intensely looking at us several times to the point it got uncomfortable. Dude was so obvious too, because very few men, straight or not, don't stand around absentmindedly fondling boxes of cologne for dozens of minutes. Not in the way he was doing so, at least. So weird. Later, the undercover guy trailed us a few times in the store as well, which really felt ultra creepy since he had a very unfriendly look in his eyes. He passed me several times near the shoes, so obviously staring at me as he passed by that I actually snorted out loud in amusement. Thankfully, the other employees backed off slightly after a while. Goodness gracious though, the paranoia level is just too high. And I'm not even a suspect looking individual, if anything, I looked affluent and yuppy -- sad, I know -- so good luck shopping peacefully if you remotely look like any stereotype that regularly gets scrutinized around here. read more

I stopped by this morning. The selection of handbags was limited. The clothing was organized but there was not much variety. The racks were full but with several selections of identical styles. The most crowded section was the shoe section! The shelves are very close together so there is not a lot of room to try on shoes. There were numerous employees there to assist. The store is smaller than the Buckhead location. I left without purchasing anything as I observed many others doing but as the store updates their inventory I will return, browse, and maybe buy! read more

Let's just say, I've been to better Nordy Racks. It wasn't awful, but the selection was limited at best. Styles were barely "in style." A pretty big clearance area, but discounts weren't that big. I usually find a TON of things at Nordstrom Rack and I went to the dressing room with less than 5 items. That being said, the jewelry area was pretty good. A lot of Lucky, Betsy Johnson, Juicy, etc. The prices are also very reasonable, but you could go to TJ Maxx and find a better selection for the same price. Maybe it's just the end of the season and they're riding on summer clothes until a new shipment comes. Who knows. But I definitely wasn't impressed. read more

They have bad attitudes I am able relate to the other negative reviews that are posted on here. Today on May 28th at 12:30 pm, my husband, my 22 months old happy and energetic son, and I were shopping at your store in Alpharetta, GA. My husband was busy looking for running shoes, I was with my son, which considering his age, as ANY child was running along the isles and grabbing shoes. I was following him and as ANY parent was putting shoes back on the racks. Then I saw a nice jacket which I decided to try on and probably buy, while my son, during this moment took JUST 1 pair of shoes. The sales assistant, which was working in men's shoes department at that time, said to me that I need to control my son. I have heard her enquiry, took off the jacket and went quietly towards my son, so, I could have taken him from this isle. The sales assistant looked at me again and said in very rude and loud manner, "Do you understand ENGLISH? I said take your SON away from here!" I was literally shocked hearing this very racist and anti-immigrant phrase towards me from this young woman. I raised my voice and responded that I was approaching my son (which is a toddler) and was about cleaning after him because he took this 1 pair of shoes from the isle (and I have never heard in any other store such rude words towards children!!!) Most customer oriented companies understand the difficulties of shopping with a toddler and they are very patient. But not in this case in your store! Finally a rack where I don't have to go to the Buckhead location and deal with that mess of a parking lot! This place has great sales, a large selection of shoes ( especially for big foot-ed size 10 women like myself), a pretty decent purse selection ( Kate spade, Michael Kors, Coach..etc), a pretty decent plus size section for the curvy ladies ( I saw up to 4x), and a nice lingerie section which also had larger sizes ( DD+). They even have cashiers walking throughout the store that can check you out anywhere, if you don't want to stand in line at the register, which I'm sure at peak shopping times could come in handy. I've been to this location several times and usually find some attractive deals however I've not had much experience interacting with the staff. Given that it's a discount driven store, I can be understanding of a lack of employee coverage, however since the level of service that a customer expects at an inline Nordstrom is very high, I truly believe that it should trickle down to the Nordstrom Rack stores. That is not the case at this location. Be prepared to be ignored by every employee that you walk past in the store. Every one of them is busy straightening racks, cleaning up and restocking. They must have an aversion to helping customers and eye contact because I received neither when walking past 5-6 employees while shopping the floor. I arrived at the store at 8:20pm on a week night. There were not many other customers in the store and I always try to be respectful of the closing time of a retail establishment because I have worked in retail in the past and know that the employees have families that they want to get home to. At 8:45 I had 2 clothing items that I wanted to try before buying and the girl that was standing in front of the fitting rooms informed me that the fitting rooms were ....CLOSED. Your store closes at 9 but your fitting room closes at 8:45? That's pure laziness on the employee's behalf. She was more concerned about not having to clean up after me then letting me have the 5 minutes it would have taken to try my items on. I'm fairly disappointed in this interaction with Nordstrom Rack as I have come to expect more from my experiences at inline Nordstrom store. I've shopped at Nordstrom Rack for years and this location (North Point in Alpharetta) has its issues. I wish I could give it zero stars. I bought my son a pair of the Nike "soccer" flip flops on 11/2/2017. They were too big so I exchanged them (on 11/03/2017) and I threw away the even exchange receipt. He wore them for one day and the glue that held the strap down completely came undone. I had the receipt of the original pair and thought for sure since Nordstrom has such a huge customer service platform, they would not have a problem returning a defective product that was less than a week old. WRONG! I returned them on 11/09/2017 The associate said since they were worn, they could not be returned. I was desperately trying to find the logic: I bought a pair of shoes, they were obviously defective and I can't return them because they were worn. I asked to speak to a manager and the cashier said the manager was the one on the next register (who was listening to the issue going on ) and she was of no help. They were going to stand by their policy that the shoes have been worn and I didn't have the exchange receipt. I have worked retail management enough to know that there was obviously a massive training issue with this manager. I asked for the store manager and they said the manager was unavailable. I asked when they would be available and didn't get a straightforward answer. I even just asked for store credit because I was not going to leave with this unresolved. They initially said no to store credit. The sales associate that did my exchange a few days previous was in the store and I told them which register it was done on and what time. I know they have the ability to look up at receipts despite them saying they can't. Again I've worked enough retail to know that there their loss prevention or asset protection team could go through the journal roll for that day and time and verify I did make the exchange and the new shoes fell apart. I would've been happy to give them a few days to do the research on that. They treated me as if I bought my child a customer suit and he and wore it for years and was trying to return it. I was not going to leave without resolution or speaking to the store manager. Finally the department manager that was not helpful whatsoever said they would do a one time exception and give me a store credit. I am pretty sure Walmart would have better customer service than this. They made it my problem that their quality was sub par on this product. I have all the information of the sales associate and can describe the manager that needs more training in customer service should Nordstrom care to follow up on this issue. read more

I have had some amazing luck at finding appropriate work/adult shoes at both this location and the Buckhead location. I have a 11W foot, so i don't always need a 4" heel stuck on the back of the shoes... I'm 99% of the time tall enough to tower over people :), But as I said they have usually had some really pretty/sexy/grown up shoes here. and for a reasonable price. it took me a little while to realize and adjust to the thought of a better quality shoes that will last longer and not make me want to cut my feet off, will cost a bit more then my usual Payless discoveries... and again, I've come to terms with this, maybe even grown to have an appreciation for nicer shoes :) So Kudos Nordstroms Rack for broadening my Shoe/Foot horizons.. I don't know that i will ever be broken of flip flops... but progress.... one pair of shoes at a time ;) read more
