We love a kid play place! This small indoor play place in south county is such a gem! It has plenty of adult seating that others lack so plan for a birthday celebration here. The best age range is 0-5 as there are infant sections, pretend play areas like kitchens and towers, and lots of toys in between. I think they rotate some items every 90 days while some items stay the same. There are yuck buckets all around the playroom in case of slobbering or "taste testing". The staff also cleans the floors and toys regularly to fight germs and keep toys looking their best. I will always recommend a reservation as spots fill up fast. A birthday party here is also worth it because of the space for seating and the ability for kids 0 -10 to be able to play and enjoy. This location is not as accessible because the entrance has a small shared parking lot, a step or large slope to enter, and the doors are all manual and all require a little maneuvering as there are pull handles, lower knobs, and hook handles. read more

This place is so cute and such a gem. My son is 14 months old and I feel like there isn't much for that age to do but he LOVED it here. They have toys that are great for a wide variety of ages. Unfortunately, we don't live in St. Louis but we are frequent visitors and I hope to come back! My only slight critique would be the music. I'm sure it is done to keep a certain ambiance and keep the kids calm but it is VERY calming. Made me sleepy lol. I don't think they need to play anything crazy upbeat but something with "happy" rather than "sleepy" vibes would be nice. Still love this place! read more

Came to this playroom for my nephew's birthday party, not only is the play room and party room so mall for what she charges, but when I asked about sensory safety play for my kids who have sensory issues I was told that this will not be a thing in her playroom. Kind of sad that a business owner with the following she does would not want to cater to all children who can come and play. read more

Moreso leaving this as a heads up, no issues with the business itself. Area has a 2 and under area, which is great. Littles deserve safety. However owner has made it clear on her socials that no exceptions are made for littles over 24 mo(aka still a 2 year old) with developmental delays(aka the mental and physical capacity of a 1 year old) Owner states their own kids are neurodivergent as a reason(which again; big difference in being ADHD or socially delayed and literally being unable to physically defend themselves from older kids) I luckily have a wonderful center near me that is willing to accommodate my son and has staff that is knowledgeable about the difference in disabled children. If your kids don't have this issue; this place looks wonderful and the owner seems nice enough. Again, I'm not faulting the facility. They're free to have whatever rules they would like with or without exception. But for other moms with disabled toddlers I would much rather see a review laying that out so they don't waste their time to be turned away or potentially see their kids get hurt from overactive older kids. Other than that: no issue. I hope the business flourishes and wish them all the best, which is also why I'm only docking one star. read more

I've been here a few times with my kids, and they always have a blast. It is definitely geared towards younger kids. Both of my kids (under 5), love playing at one of the many stations, including trains, balance motorcycle, and the play food. Grandma herself is so kind, and one of my kids kept on offering her play food, and she was so nice about it. The seating area is nice for parents. It is so nice they let us bring our own food if we want, but also have some snacks to purchase if desired. The bathrooms are clean. It's a great way to spend a couple hours with young children, and we will definitely be back. read more

If you have a child five or under, this is a great spot to kill a few hours. My toddler had so much fun playing with the trains, and rideable toy motorcycle and car. He also had a blast playing in the designated under-2 area, jumping and crawling on the padded surfaces. A few other nice features about Grandma's Playroom. First, they allow you to bring in food, rather than forcing you to buy theirs. Second, there's a decent seating area for adults, plus WiFi. Third, the bathrooms are really clean, and don't smell like baby poo -- always a danger at businesses like this. Clearly, this is a place we plan to visit again. read more

My 2yo adores this place! The owner is super diligent about keeping the place clean. They rotate toys out to keep it interesting. There's a wonderful 24mo and younger play area where crawlers can play without the risk of getting run over by bigger kids. There are snacks and sodas available. The first time I went I wasn't sure what to expect, but it blew away all of my expectations. My toddler is able to run around and play with (clean and working) toys! No area is off limits and noise + laughter is encouraged. I made another appointment to go and I can't wait. My kid is safe, within eye range, and I'm able to get a snack and relax for a while. I found the owner's social accounts and immediately added it to our list of things to do. We were not disappointed. We've been coming to Grandma's playroom for many years. We loved it before the new ownership. The adjustment in my opinion has been seem less. The owner Sierra, is friendly, fun and inviting. We love her! She is constantly checking to make sure everyone is having good time, she steps in when the kids need a bit of guidance and checks in with the parents. She has made some awesome updates and improvements to the place over the past year. This is one of favorite spots. Literally every time we visit there's something new and exciting. read more

My kid almost was trampled she came out of there with bumps and bruises the staff was too busy on their phones to even care. plus the language on this staff around small children namely LIV is atrocious I went here thinking my child would be safe and happy seeing my child cry was heartbreaking. This place was pretty great! I am new to the St. Louis area and was looking for a place to take my little ones for the day. I have been to Myseum but that place was still a little too big for both of them to run around. My daughters are 3.5 and 1.5, this place was perfect. I could sit in the eating area at a table and see them anywhere they were. There is a great assortment of toys. There was an area in the back where you could do crafts with the kids. There is also a baby area for 2 and under. They say they are the busiest from 9-12 & school holidays. You can reserve a spot by calling or emailing them. read more

We went for a birthday party. Their party room is small and cramped, shoved in the back of the building. There were lots of toys available for all ages of toddlers to play with, nothing for bigger kids and no area for the parents to observe. Overall though I just got a run down daycare vibe. I love that there is a sitting area where the whole playroom is visable so I can relax for a bit while by guys play and I can still keep an eye on them. We LOVE Grandma's Playroom! I've told a few friends about it as a place to entertain their kids, and I've gotten nothing but "thank yous" from them, as it's really a phenomenal place! I started taking my daughter here when she was around 12 months old, and even now at 19 months, she still never gets bored while we're there. The owners couldn't be nicer, and they're so accommodating. I showed up one day about an hour before they closed, and they gave me a Free Pass to return another day to get in more playtime. There are so many different areas to play in (a kitchen area, a baby doll/barbie area, a supermarket area, a big Connect Four game, a jungle gym, a few train tables, a light table, a foam block station, and even a closed off area for crawlers/children under 2). My friend suggested this as a play date for our two year olds because it was close to home. I was kind of worried it wouldn't keep my daughter's attention very long since nothing does but she played for over three hours and was only ready to leave because her friend got a sucker when he left. Everything seemed new and clean and there were a lot of different toys and play areas to choose from. They really seemed to think of everything you might need and even have extra diapers and wipes if you forget or run out of your own. Grandma's Playroom is great! We came here in the late morning on a Wednesday. There were other kids, but it wasn't overly crowded. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. There's plenty for a toddler to do - my 3 1/2 year old daughter loved the little store and train tables they have set up. There are snacks, free wi-fi, and lots of parking. There is also a play area for crawlers and early walkers that is fenced off from the rest of the play area. This place is extremely clean and safe too - I feel confident having my daughter play here. We absolutely love this place. My daughter is currently 3 years old, but we've been bringing her here since she was about 2, and a visit to Grandma's Playroom is always a hit. They switch around the layout every now and then, and will occasionally have new toys and activities, so it doesn't feel stale. There are so many different areas/stations/play centers that your child is sure to find something that interests him/her. The staff does an amazing job of constantly walking around to pick up so the area doesn't look like a constant disaster, and toys are constantly getting put back where they belong. We have gotten some really great toy ideas from this place just by watching what my child has naturally gravitated towards. Such a great place for your child to use their imagination, and with the wide open space, as a parent, you can choose to sit back and watch from the sidelines if you feel it's appropriate. I come here every few times around the month for my one year old boy. I've been coming here a couple times now ever since my son was 6 months old. They have an area for Crawlers and they have a lot of games and toys for the kids. So much fun. And moms can enjoy sitting while kids play! read more

Cute place but for really little ones. My three and a half- year-old was a bit bored with the toys there. But it's a nice, protected play place for one and two year olds. And the couple that runs it is super nice. However, at $8, it's too pricey for what it is. Should be about $5. read more
