First time being here and my little one loved it! Admission is a tad pricey but worth it as they don't charge for adults. ($12) and this got her about 2 hours of play which was perfect. I was in awe at all the toys and options they have here. The lady working the desk was super nice and made conversation. They offer snacks and drinks for $1 each which is perfect. I'll definitely be back!!

We've been coming to Grandma's playroom for many years. We loved it before the new ownership. The adjustment in my opinion has been seem less. The owner Sierra, is friendly, fun and inviting. We love her! She is constantly checking to make sure everyone is having good time, she steps in when the kids need a bit of guidance and checks in with the parents. She has made some awesome updates and improvements to the place over the past year. This is one of favorite spots. Literally every time we visit there's something new and exciting.

There's plenty for a toddler to do - my 3 1/2 year old daughter loved the little store and train tables they have set up.

What a fun afternoon!…read more To my surprise, Grant's Farm does not charge admission. What they do charge for is parking. $27. Yikes. If possible, prepay online for $18. And, don't worry, there are plenty of things to spend money on: personal tours, food and drink, feed for the animals (not the horses), trinkets, camel rides...you know the routine. Once parked, you need to decide on where to visit first. There are the stables on one side of the parking lot and the deer park tram on the opposite end. We started with the stables. The stable itself is beautiful - pristine. Peaceful even. There were 4 of the gorgeous Clydesdale "big boys" there when we visited. All but one were 3 years old - huge, and not yet full grown. You may pet them though signs warn of the possibility of biting (the horses biting you, not you biting the horses!) I saw a caretaker scratching a horse behind his ears. I tried it and that big guy about melted right there. I wouldn't call it magical but it was pretty darn neat. We then walked across the parking to catch the tram ride through the deer park (many more animals besides just deer) , we arrived at the Tier Garden. Here, you will find animal/bird shows (just go in without expectation), animals to pet and feed, camel rides and free beer. WHAT?? Yes, 2 free Budweiser products for those over 21. There is plenty of food for purchase too. (Skip the soft pretzel. Calling it "soft" was false advertising.) We spent about 2 hours here but you can spend as much or as little time as you want. Grant's Farm is a must see when visiting STL. Good luck finding a better deal - $27 for a fun afternoon for 4 adults - heck, just the free beer was worth it. And having a Clydesdale melt in my hands was absolutely priceless..

Once the tram stops, there is lots to see. The goat pen was full of goats which you can feed. Then there are chickens, rabbits, alpacas, camels, cows, and a lot of other animals you can visit. Of course, there are the Clydesdale horses that you can get up close to. They are huge!! Great experience for any age.

Hey! I didn't even know this place existed until a friend had their wedding reception here! I loved…read moreit! Its tucked away behind Sperreng Middle School off Tesson Ferry. It's a small white old looking building with a partial gravel lot, part paved. If you are looking for a nostalgic place to hold a reception with a great sized dance floor, a stage, plenty of room to have tables around the perimeter of the dancer floor... Check this place out! I thought the way they did the buffet was brilliant! The bar is down 5-6 step on a lower level. So while you are on the main level the crowd works its way down the stairs, to the buffet to get their food and grab a drink and then head up the other staircase on the other side of the room. Seamless flow and unless you are behind someone who just can't decide on the roast beer or chicken... there are no hold ups in line! I think this venue would also be great for parties in general! Whether its for line dancing, a Zumba event, or just to have a fun party with a band! The basement bar is full of old Anheuser-Busch memorabilia and the bartender gave us quite the history of its location and how many famous people have visited there. My guess because of its "nostalgia" look... it might not be for all... but my guess is, its not expensive to rent out. And if you aren't needing a modern location, why not help preserve a great looking and very well functioning building and community! I'd go back here... in fact I hear they have open west coast or swing dance lessons / nights! hmmmmm!

Well, there I was in the beginner's group. I put my own self there, so there's no blame to go…read morearound. Unfortunately tonight, four of the men didn't know their feet from a hole in the wall. Couldn't get a beat even though there was no music on. But can you count one-and-two, three-and-four? This is not a stretch of the phrase rocket science in any sense of its meaning! I was so spent (and sweaty) after the one-hour lesson that I couldn't stay for the open dance. I was actually pissed (have to balance that with a pissy day) about the beginner dance lesson. We didn't rotate partners. YOU NEED TO DO THAT. If you get a slower partner for a while, you can persevere. If the teachers don't have you rotate, you're stuck for the entire hour. Nuff said.
