Have done business once before for a window. It was perfect. Today, I had a new shower door installed and another window repair. Eddie did the window replacement. So efficient and careful! Sean and Joe installed the shower door. I love it! These guys are great! Called at 8am and arrived 10 minutes later. They were done at 8:50 am. Everything is clean. Would never know they walked thru the house. The staff at the office are friendly and helpful as well. Kayla took my payment balance over the phone. I think they must of thought I had a tattoo saying stupid across my forehead today. I went there today with a 16in × 20in cellar window single pain, to have a new piece of glass put in .They quoted me 50bucks and told me it would not be completed until the end of the week. I was shocked. I knew it was a very easy job. I then asked if there was another glass place in area and she said she didn't know. Well I took my window back and left. I went outside and googled the area and about 2 miles away was Tri-City Glass. I went there and it was fixed in about 1 hour I got the call that it was done. The bill was 7 dollars. Yes 7 dollars, not 50 dollars and wait 4-5 days. Never go there. RIP offs. I am so mad they tried to RIP me off. Thank you for reading my rant. My windshield was cracked and my mechanic recommended Granite State Glass. I called them for a quote and was surprised how reasonable a new windshield was. I dropped my vehicle off for the day. It was ready when they said it would be. Customer service was excellent. I spend a lot of time in my vehicle. I eat breakfast and lunch in it four days a week. So it's pretty gross inside but they actually cleaned it up. They went above and beyond. I would highly recommend them read more

I recently had a rock hit my windshield and chip it while driving home from work. A friend recommended Granite State Glass, and since it's about half a mile from my house, I chose them to do the work when I filed my insurance claim. I didn't even have to call them myself- they received the work order from my insurance company and called me to set up a time for me to bring the car in. I stopped by the next day, was greeted immediately upon arrival, and it took them about 20 minutes to repair the chip. They billed the insurance company directly and I was on my way in no time. The tech that came out was very efficient and got the job done in a little under an hour. Very professional and knowledgeable, explained every step and insured the windshield was installed properly. I needed to replace my windshield before my inspection and made some calls around to get estimates. Granite State Glass had a great price. They'll match their competitors price too! They can come to you or you can drop off your vehicle. I chose for them to come to me. It took them an hour and I then I was told in an hour I could drive my car. I was informed that I couldn't have my car on a lift until 48 hrs after its installed. Friendly customer service :) read more

Contacted the office that I'd be back before 2pm for the install. The installer left me a message around 11am. They arrived at 3 and started work after meeting me. Less than an hour for a crew of two, lucky for me because typically it's a one person job and would have taken double the time. Granite State Glass did me a big favor today. My rearview mirror fell off, and they glued it back on. Since they couldn't guarantee that it would stay, they didn't charge me a thing. I have to say this is a review more about the product they sell than the actual business. I purchased some HARVEY windows from them in 2010 with a 50 year warranty, they appeared to be great and would keep my house warm for years to come. About 5 years later I started noticing drafts coming through the windows and the sills, also most of the balance's on each side of the windows broke. I called Granite Glass and they came out and scheduled replacement of the many broken ones with the little known clause in the warranty that the customer pays labor. Then I mentioned the drafts, they checked them and said everything was fine, well I know its not fine because of the drafts I am feeling. Apparently not enough insulation in the sills during installation was one cause, but the other was coming through the actual HARVEY window. A rep from Granite Glass in Rochester came out to see two or three times and they kept coming to the same result, I must be feeling things that are just not there because there is nothing wrong with the HARVEY windows. I give the Granite Glass folks credit, they kept coming and trying to help, finally they called in a HARVEY sales rep, to nobody's surprise, he said the same thing, the windows are good and all is fine, then walked away. I assume that was the last I will hear from either business, the takeaway from this is to stay away from HARVEY windows unless you have a high velocity fan and make them prove no drafts come through. I have spent a lot of money on these windows and they didn't even have a compromise for me, live with it and stop complaining is the feeling I got. I will remove these and get some real windows that do not have drafts come through but wanted you all to be aware of the pitfalls of HARVEY windows. Granite Glass doesn't even sell this type anymore, too heavy, too unreliable would be my guess. read more

I had a rock hit my windshield back in May and now have to get my car inspected, so I needed to get my windshield replaced. I called my insurance company and they set me up with Granite State Glass which worked out well because they are nice and close. I spoke with a women to set up an appointment and she was pleasant enough. I went this morning to drop off my vehicle. A young man and a woman were at the counter, no one greeted me. I had to approach the counter and tell him I was there to drop off my car. He asked for the make a model of my car and pulled the paperwork, verified the phone number and took my key, never once using my name or giving me a time frame. When I got the call that my car was finished I answered the phone and was told "this is granite state glass..." After an awkward pause I had to ask if my car was finished. On arrival to pick it up, again no one said hello, the young man pulled my paperwork told me my deductible, ran my card, handed my the receipt to sign with no pen, had to glance around to find a pen, was headed out the door and was told to have a nice day. I don't know what has happened to customer service but it is still very important. My windshield looks nice and they vacuumed and wiped down the inside of my car as I'm sure is needed when the windshield is replaced. I would not use granite state glass again especially since there are many more companies that can do the same work at the same cost and hopefully better customer service. read more
