Awesome landscaping job! We bought a new home {In the winter} and little did we know come spring our sod the builder didn't maintain would never grow and the side backyard was a continuous mud pit bc of poor grading and basically harvesting mosquitos. After using Grantlanta a few times for basic lawn care we asked them {and a few others} for a quote to basically do what they thought they could to "improve" our back yard area and also fix the spotty front yard. Not only did they come out promptly, but they had us an estimate {thousands less and days quicker than the main competitor} Muhammed and his team was out less than a week later and worked for 2 days straight to change our mess of a yard into a beautiful usable space! We are super happy with their expertise and the outcome! The attention to detail was also noticed. They pressure washed the basement edges that were previously muddy/dirty and the driveway upon finishing up. Called Grantlanta in a bind - we really needed our lawn and side yard touched up before selling our house. It was raining a lot in our area, but they were able to come in between the rain and save the day. Our yard looks fabulous! Saudine came out and really took his time with our front and back lawn as well as really clean up our side yard that had so much debris and leaves. Initially, we made a bad decision to go with someone who was inexperienced and did a horrible job on landscaping the backyard. But once we learned about Grantlanta and did more research into their company, it was a no brainer! Brandon was amazing! He came out and helped us with envisioning the whole backyard. He even threw some knowledge on the old pipe that the previous company placed in and offered to correct it. Brandon started out the whole process. Then came Muhammad and his team which included the incredibly skilled Julio who graded, tilled the soil, and added the compost. He did an amazing job! Jake, Marco and Santos were the muscle and did the heavy lifting. Muhammad was knowledgeable and has a degree in Horticulture. So he definitely shed a lot of knowledge on the new sod, the Jane magnolia trees and how to care for them. I cannot thank them enough for the amazing work! When I needed a new lawn service for my home in Atlanta I called Grantlanta. Everything started great but over time things started going downhill. Trying to communicate with them is virtually impossible. After repeatedly asking Heather (office person) to call me she never returned a call. I left numerous VM but it took days for someone to contact me and even then it was an email. After thinking I had finally resolved the issue of them coming every two weeks instead of once a month... nope, I had to try numerous times again to resolve the issue. These guys have a serious organizational problem! NOT DEPENDABLE SAVE YOURSELF THE FRUSTRATION AND USE SOMEONE ELSE. I'm done! read more

After all the great reviews, we never got off the ground. All of their phone numbers lead to voicemail and messages that were not responded to. My daughter texted them yesterday and the response appeared to come from an AI device with a generic look and feel to it. After the AI/customer service device responded with "hi yes we do" and then "how can we help", the next question that we asked was "Are you available?". That question was never responded to. Whatever happened to real people answering the phone by someone who knows how important the customer is? Very poor first impression. read more

Meh. 60% additional cost for 50% less work and never once hit their commitment. As a landlord I wanted this to be as set and forget as possible for both me and my tenants, but with an unfortunate series of misses from the beginning (missed part of the lawn on day 1 - should have been a glaring sign, weeding was an afterthought and blamed several times on not enough time (lack of team time management should never be used as an excuse), shrubs were ignored until pressed). For $100 per visit the service was incredibly overpriced. After reading the reviews here, perhaps I just got a subpar lackey team. But would not recommend based on my experience. Couldn't be happier with Grantlanta on the recent project in my front yard. Had the whole yard cleared and sodded and it came out far better than expected! At first I thought it was only going to be laying down sod, but Jallal and his team took it an extra step with some additional landscaping, including laying mulch in areas he knew (but I wouldn't have known) that sod wouldn't grow. I really hate leaving a negative review for a local company like this, but I did not have a great experience. tl;dr: They share your information (without consent) with other companies for services they list on their website, but don't actually provide themselves. The company they sent my info to for gutter cleaning got the job done, but not to the standard I expected for a professional company. ___________ After submitting a form on the Grantlanta website, I got a text from Pro Gutter Roof & Siding saying Matt/Grant sent them my information. It wasn't clear to me from the website or yelp that Grantlanta doesn't actually offer gutter cleaning and repair services. Instead, they share your contact info with another company. This is definitely not ok - the form/site should clearly state this and ask permission to share your information with another provider. I like to read reviews and research companies I'm using for the first time, so it felt like a bait and switch. I was short on time, and Autumn from the gutter company explained that they have been working with Grantlanta for a long time, so I rolled the dice and went ahead and booked the gutter cleaning. The crew was here for 20 minutes and left mud spattered everywhere, an extension disconnected, and dirt & leaves still in the bottom of the downspouts. The photos here are all from right after the cleaning. I sent pictures to the main office, and was offered to have the crew come back out to clean or a $20 discount. They followed up with the crew who said they didn't see a hose, which is why they didn't thoroughly clean up. I specifically asked if they needed access to water to do the cleaning when the crew got here, but they said no. Would have been happy to get the hose from the garage for them had they asked. It felt like a poor excuse to me, and I didn't trust that the crew would do a very good job cleaning if they came back out anyway, so I opted for the small discount and will be out hosing everything down shortly... I do appreciate that the company attempted to resolve the situation, but for this amount of hassle I will just hire the neighbor kid with a ladder for half the price next time. Still haven't heard from Grantlanta at all. My form request also asked for quotes to do actual landscape work (which I'm guessing is the service they provide themselves? unless I misread this situation and they're just a lead generator for other companies?) read more

Being brand new to Atlanta from Miami (and I mean I haven't even been here a week yet)-- I was scrambling to find reliable people to do various projects around my house we just bought. One major recommendation by all of my East Atlanta neighbors was Grantlanta over and over. Grant was super prompt to respond to the original request for lawn maintenance and some projects-- even though I left a wrong number to boot he managed. He came out right away to check everything out and go over things. Then he put me in touch with various people who would be doing different services I needed. Exorbitantly expensive for okay work. Was quoted $3,500 for them to prep the ground and seed my backyard and 90% of it did not take. While working they lost the stake in the ground that is used to keep my gate open, acknowledged they lost it, and then told me to go out and buy a new one. $%@* these people. I ended up going with Affordable Landscaping Services that only charged me $700 for the same work and they agreed these people totally took advantage and grossly overcharged me. They also stand by their work and said that if any parts did not take that they would come out and redo at no cost. Already got my friend living in Summerhill to quit using Grantlanta for her lawn maintenance and switch to them. I will do what I can to deter people from this company. read more

I recently purchased a home in East Atlanta and in looking for a lawn service to handle my somewhat weedy lawn, I came across Grantlanta Lawn. They responded promptly, and sent someone out to give me a quote within a few days. Upon accepting the quote, they had someone out there the next day to mow. They sent the same guy out every two weeks for about three months, and he did a decent job. Not perfect, didn't get every weed, and left a 1/4 full yard trimmings bag in my front yard once. But overall passable. After three months, I received a call from the guy out of the blue saying he wouldn't be servicing my lawn anymore, because the pinecones from my pine trees were too hard on his equipment. He offered no potential solutions through Grantlanta, and when I asked if there was anything I could do, his response was just, "you could pick them up." I found it surprising that this lawn company wasn't interested in offering a service (for a cost, of course) to retain my business. read more

Instead they went ahead and did my front lawn but did not do the back because of issues with the fence. When I went to schedule the backyard I was told three times that they would be stopping by when they did not. They never even reached out to say they wouldn't make it - I had to follow up and check in on them every single time.
