Horrible service here. Both visits were extremely unpleasant (and we bought our last 3 Corollas here as well). The last service visit was the last straw. New cat had 9k on odometer; changed my wiper blades without asking me. Then charged me for them even though we had full extended coverage (asked Granville Toyota on 41st, thet agreed that should've been under warranty). I ended up paying anyway because I didn't have time to keep arguing (we'd been arguing for 20+ minutes when I gave up) Service at 41st & Granville has been consistently good for the last 3 decades, as their veteran staff know customer service. But the Fraser location is run by entitled children Never going back. 1.5 stars. At least the mechanics are good, as well as the young man in the financing dept. read more

* The quest concludes.... * This is a much smaller dealer than many of the other Toyota places around Metro Vancouver. I honestly was not expecting much flexibility or availability here. But I was happy to find they had just taken delivery of the exact Prius I was looking for and it was sitting on the lot, having not even been unwrapped. Nifty. The salesman was quite knowledgeable about the car, and also was very low key. This was not a high pressure aggressive style, which was a good read by him because I was not in the mood for it after shopping around! Everything was handled very straightforwardly: - Reasonable flexibility on the pricing, considering the specific car is in high demand. - Very flexible on trade-in pricing - Very flexible on throwing in some extra deal sweeteners that most other dealers just wanted to charge extra for - Ability to deliver the car the next day after they prepped it Overall I'm quite happy with the purchase process here. I got the best deal I could find, and they had the car in stock and ready to go for me to pick up the next day. They also did follow-up calls after the purchase to see how everything was going with the car, if I had any questions, etc. Overall very professional service, fair pricing, and didn't leave me feeling "slimed." Horrible customer service! This place is a joke! This is where I bought my car so this is where I get it serviced. Ok, so I have a 9am appointment, what time will it be ready? 11am. Cool, I come back at 12pm...give them a bit of leeway...car's not ready!!! This happened a few times. The last time I asked the guy, do you think my time is not important, do you think I have nothing better to do than to wait all day for you guys, just give me an accurate time, why tell it's gonna be ready when it's not if you need more time give me a later time. That's just a lack of respect for your customers. Oh did I mention this place is a joke! Needless to say I don't come here anymore. read more

Yup, that's right. 5 stars!!! Used car salespeople have a certain reputation. Can I just tell you, they are NOT all the same. Derrick at Granville Toyota went above and beyond. I heard a weird whirling ghosty sound at the 40km zone and although it wasn't anything that would have resulted in a dangerous driving situation, there was a Toyota fix to it so he put in the order for the part (I still had 2 months worth of warranty). But apparently several other people did too so it was on back order and likely not to arrive before my heading up north for 2 years. Well he did what he had to, made some calls, got the part, fixed the car, gave me a Matrix in the interim, and 2 days later she was good to go! Sounds like a dream! And ya, I guess this is their job, but this seemed more than normal customer service. I am really happy I bought my car from them. Only thing I'm disappointed about is that I won't be able to bring it in for servicing while I'm up in Haida Gwaii. read more

I bought a used Yaris a few years ago at the Fraser location and recently re-sold it for a fair price. I had no problems at all in the 4 years of owning that car and very grateful as I was paying off student loans and really needed a reliable car as money was tight. These guys are super. I've been leasing a Highlander Hybrid since last September. That process was an excellent experience, and just this morning I was back for my second vehicle check-up. I had completely missed my previously booked appointment but they were kind enough to rebook for me and with complete understanding. Pleasant all around. One minor, unpleasant thing... one of their female administrators was walking around dropping the s-bomb. We all have our bad days, right? Glad it was just me without the kids today. Oil change, cabin filter, and wipers costed me over $300 here. The cost estimate when I left the car there was $200. It is impossible to find out why the labour was substantially more expensive than anticipated, and this is on a car with 15k mileage. The person I have dealt with was rude and unhelpful. I have other cars, and service them at other dealerships down the street and it works much better. If there would be another Toyota on Marine Drive.... read more

Its not a shiny huge palace, like some of the other dealerships/service centres... but that's not what I want to pay for anyway. The team here have always been kind, super able and professional. Kevin & To-Ahn always treated me like gold. Each service or repair was done exceptionally well! I really trust them. Started servicing my Highlander hybrid in 2013 after importing it from the USA. They were the ONLY dealer in town who could attend to a recall and get the paperwork complete for insurance. In the 3 years I been a customer, my vehicle was well looked after, returned to me ready for the road and sparking clean. I was never overcharged, or had a nagging feeling something was not quite right..... Their OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER ORIENTED SERVICE really become highlighted, when my Highlander died on the road and had to be towed to the closest dealer. It was Regency Toyota on Evans Ave. My blood still boils when I recall the time dealing with this horribly dishonest place. I guess they have to be to pay for such a place built on prime property. After taking my highlander back the third time to Regency to yet again have them 'meddle' with my vehicle, and come up with more horribly bad news after a simple FREE FIX. Enough! I drove straight to Granville Toyota, explained everything to To-Ahn. They solved the problem I believe Regency Toyota mechanic created in the first place, for less than 1/2 the price I was quoted there. She gave me a vehicle to drive for a few days while the mechanic healed my car :) As usual, I got my vehicle back happy and humming again, not to mention sparking clean! Recently, ICBC had to write off this much loved ride of mine do to carless driver hitting us. To-Ahn again was really helpful. She printed out my service records for ICBC to help me get a better market value for my loss and reassured me about the market value of that years model. Indeed, AS GOOD AS IT GETS. read more

Worst service department in the history of service departments. They will do anything they can to lie and not fix your car. Most weasely service manager with terrible breath will say you must have done something yourself to wreck your camry even though thousands of other people online are experiencing the same thing. Go to Richmond Toyota and they say yes we see this all the time. It's covered. They give you dealer cash and then they don't honor it. This service department is a real piece of work. read more

I had a terrible experience at this Fraser location today. The general manager Doug Shoreman spoke to me in the most rude and disrespectful way. I brought my car in for a service today and they were not able to complete it. I explained that the car had an appointment tomorrow at another location that was dependent upon the work getting done today. Instead of working with me he immediately said "well we can pack it all in and call it a day and you can just take your car. I am not going to work around your schedule". I told him I did not appreciate being talked to in such a rude manor and he simply shrugged his arms and walked away. I have to say that both To-Ahn and Doug the sales advisors were very respectful and professional in their interactions. However because Doug Shoreman was so aggressively rude I will not be returning to this location nor recommending anyone to do the same. I left there very upset that I was treated in such a manor. I sincerely hope Toyota recognizes that Doug Shoreman is hurting their company and acts accordingly. read more

I would not recommend this dealership at all. The salesperson I dealt with was wonderful and I would give him five stars, but he was let down by his colleagues and bosses. The Financial Services Manager had very poor business etiquette and had no respect for customers' time. I made an appointment and showed up at the agreed-upon time (I actually already gave her some leeway, as she told me her prior appointment was late), only to find that someone else had cut in front of me. The only thing the Financial Services Manager said to me when I arrived was "I'm with another customer right now". I made an appointment, yet I was ignored and left waiting for an hour. I complained to the General Sales Manager, but he was very defensive. Although he apologized, he was making excuse after excuse. I could not sense any sincerity in his apologies. Why am I paying so much money to be neglected and brushed aside? So I decided to walk away. I will not get into details, but both the Financial Services Manager and the General Sales Manager displayed very poor attitude. They talked back, sometimes even rudely, to my comments. I sensed that they simply didn't think they did anything wrong, or they just didn't care ("if you want my car, you just wait there until I have time for you" kind of attitude). I tried to communicate this issue to the general manager of the dealership, and was treated very poorly as well. He immediately took the side of his staff and didn't want to hear anything I had to say. The general manager was sending me the message that he had more important things to do than listening to customer feedback to make his dealership a better one to increase sales and retain more customers. I would strongly suggest anyone wanting to lease or finance a car to stay far away from Granville Toyota, unless you want to pay big money to be treated like a "nobody". Save your time and go elsewhere. read more

Unfortunately my experience was not so positive. The salesman was friendly and polite, but otherwise followed traditional auto dealership negotiation tactics. I presented what I considered a fair offer. I requested app. $500 in options at no additional charge to the Toyota msrp. This was not a problem for him. I also asked for a tire exchange as the oem tires on a Prius are mediocre at best. I offered to pay retail ($135/tire) for the new ones in exchange for a $50/tire credit for the ones off the new car. The salesman made frequent trips to "consult" with the sales manager. There was much consternation and hand wringing. After spending about an hour there, I decided to cut my losses and leave. Shortly after, the salesman phoned me to say that my offer had been accepted. Evidently it was good enough after all. I explained to him that had he spared me the aggravation, he would have had a sale, but that I was now moving on. A previous purchase at Docksteader had gone much more smoothly. Perhaps a different salesperson would have been more professional, and made the sale. read more

I'm not quite sure how to rate this business because on the one hand, the person who sold us our car was fantastic--such a great guy (not your typical car salesman AT ALL), but, we had to suffer through the finance woman's sales pitch TWICE, and she was relentless. She kept trying to sell us various kinds of insurance and add-on products that we did not want or need. These were all products that we'd researched beforehand online and they are complete and utter bullsh*t products created simply to make money for the dealership). We kept saying no, no, no, and no. Finally, she produced our finance document, and she'd actually included some obscure insurance product that we will never use (or remember that we purchased), but we were too worn down to ask her to reverse the (several-hundred-dollar) charge. I do not understand why dealerships do this--they only alienate customers who end up feeling ripped off for being tricked into buying useless products/services. read more

The person that helped me (I have his name and info but I don't want to publicize it on his behalf) was polite but didn't seem eager to help me. I told him I needed a new key fob for my older Toyota (was holding out the old key fobs in front of him) and without even inspecting it or taking it out of my hand, he jumped the gun and told me "yeah unfortunately those aren't Toyota key fobs." I pointed out that they are in fact oem Toyota key fobs, have Toyota written on it and a part # on the back. This little incident left a sour taste in my mouth. He didn't show an eagerness in helping me better my beloved Toyota. When I returned to the counter, he didn't get up from his desk on the other side of the room and talked to me from there. I would've appreciated more interest in solving my problem, as a result I will either be fixing the problem myself or going into another Toyota location. It really boils down to trusting someone with your baby, and he just wasn't really interested. read more
