Once released i went to the shore rd center because its closer than 60th for sp[eech, ot and pt. My occupational therapist Romana is as intelligent and knowledgeable as it gets. She knows how to multiply herself when there are more than one patient as well. Her interns are well selected and experienced before coming. I couldnt ask for better people handling my recovery. She did her best to accomodate me with tools, info, props notes for work.. you name it. My physical therapist Lauren is also a godsend. We clicked right away. So professional yet cool. She has her doctrine, whats better? She does pt and helps out patients with other touchy sensitive problems. Evetyone there couldnt be nicer, they all interract great and give advice and wish you a nice night etc. Front desk :steven and jeanette are the best with planning appointments that fit YOU. we appreciate everyone so much, when we make cake at home, they get half of it. After goin since july 2011. I have upgraded 2 canes, walked up and down stairs, treadmill, moved my arm and hand which i thought was never possible, and overall self improved mentally with their guidance. Im back to work now and doing things like walk on a beach in puerto rico(this november) and swim in a pool. couldnt thank them enough. Eger Health Center isn't all that bad but it isn't all that good. Like other reviewers have mentioned its really outdated here. I know you don't come here for the decor and all but when families are paying nearly $550 a day to be housed here you'd think in the very least the building and its rooms would be modern and up to date. Instead you're faced with a dank reception desk, dirty carpets throughout, old paint, "wood" everywhere, peeling walls, old chairs, and the bathrooms in each room are straight out the 60's. I could go on and on about the condition of this building but I don't want to take away from the staff that keeps this place running. The staff here are some of the most compassionate people I have met during the process of my relatives passing. They were kind, caring, and respectful with all of us during some difficult time but when it came to them having to interact with him they were gentle and patient which doesn't always happens in many of these places. We didn't have much time to research a better possible facility but cant say I truly regretted the decision my family made to use this facility.

The entire staff was concern with his concerns and the concerns of my cousins who live out of the city. The nurses would take phone calls any time of the day or night. This facility has Roman Catholic masses twice a week that was special for my uncle because he is spiritual. For all please consider this facility if you are in need of a rehab center. I came in for lower back pain that i've been dealing with for years! After coming in for a free consultation (which they do offer if you call and ask) Greg my physical therapist gave me a full breakdown on what my problem was and after the consulatation I decided to stick here because of how he not only explained to me my potential problem, but also educated me as to why my lower back pain was present. After about a month of consistent therapy they lead me back to having a normal life without anymore back pain!!! And if i do have back pain here and there, i refer to what Greg and the exercise specialist taught me. PROS: really clean office - Friendly and helpful staff -Array of exercise equipment -dedicated exercise training staff that stick with you throughout your therapy sessions -Occupational therapy and accupuntcure is offered as well I honestly can't think of any more good to say about them! The bathroom stayed disgusting until I got them to clean it and there was the previous patients belongings in the hamper and closet. My xhusband had a painful death in a place that was supposed to make his passing comfortable and peaceful. The man screamed in agony for his last days. On a Friday (I think the 16th of May 2025) he was in desperate need of pain medication. He had already stopped eating so he needed an injectable medication. BUT, there's no doctor to order it because he's kosher. A real circus went on until I called 911. Anthony was finally given medication to make him comfortable, no more clenching his fists, no more screaming in agony, no more tears running down his face. Anthony passed away in the hospital a few hours later. Anthony was supposedly having hospice care but his room was never changed from when he was admitted. It's like they just forgot about him. And the rashes on his rear and genitals was proof of that. Bottom line, this is not a place for anyone who can't speak up for themselves.

After months of requesting that my brother be updated on Covid, flu, and RSV vaccinations, and that I be informed that this has been done, I still don't know whether he is receiving the health care that is recommended for people of his advanced age and poor health. Unfortunately i live far away and am unable to arrange for another nursing home for my brother, but if you are able to make arrangements other than Seagate for your relative, I suggest that you do so.

The energy is joyful, kind, and uplifting. Everyone is smiling, laughing, and truly cares about your healing. The therapy sessions were amazing, and the massages were incredibly pleasant. These women are talented, professional, and full of heart. After my accident, they helped me stand on my feet again -- both physically and emotionally. I spent nearly a year with them, and I can honestly say they changed my life for the better. In these little rooms, you'll find big hearts.
