There are truly not enough words to describe how incredible Marvimon was as a wedding venue. We had the wedding of our literal dreams -- an all day affair that took place in both Valentine and Grass Room. Dana (Event Director) deserves every award there is in the wedding/event category. We opted out of a wedding planner because we were pretty confident in putting it together ourselves but of course there was A LOT to figure out and hurdles faced along the way. But thanks to Dana and Marvimon's phenomenal team, the end result was truly magical. Between the organization, attention to detail, genuine care, and the list of unbelievable, pre-approved vendors (including a BIPOC, women-owned, and queer specific list which is where we primarily sourced everything) we didn't realize that we not only got the venue of our dreams but the support it came with was extremely valuable. Not to mention the beautiful furniture, foliage and overall interior aesthetic that was there which removed any need for renting additional pieces. Weddings are exciting but everyone who has planned or is in the middle of planning one knows they are massively stressful. That said, the Marvimon team (ESPECIALLY DANA) didn't have us worried at all. They were one of the biggest reasons we were at ease and confident things were going to run smoothly which I'm happy to report they did with flying rainbow colors! 100/10 CANNOT recommend enough! (We are already thinking about our vow renewal party at one of their other venue spaces - true story)

The Grass Room is such an amazing space to host a wedding or any other special celebration. It's a literal concrete jungle--as it has an awesome tropical green house vibe, while being located in the heart of downtown LA. I had the pleasure of planning and coordinating a wedding here, and it was such a great experience from start to finish. Dana, Clare, and the rest of the Marvimon team made the whole planning process so seamless for me and my clients. The venue itself needs little to no decor, as it is gorgeous on its own--but we had a lot of fun personalizing it to create a fun and unique vibe for the bride and groom's special day. If you're looking for an original, out-of-the-box venue to host your next special event, look no further than the Grass Room DTLA! Uniquely stunning space, awesome staff, and nothing but good vibes!

This event Venue holds different events. I was a guest here for the Thrillest Taco Knockout Event. This Venue is not the best place to hold an event. There are no lots for parking. Streets parking are in the middle of the homeless's home (Skid Row), and good luck finding an available spot. If you walk down the street towards Alameda about 2 to 3 blocks there is a small parking lot at a church that charges $8-$10 for parking. That was my best bet! It was a hot summer day. The venue is outdoor patio style. It was truly hot and humid with a bunch of human natural body oder smell of sweat. How do you enjoy that when it's a tasting event?! No chairs for people to sit and lucky there was a few stand up tables to put your food and drinks on. If there will be another event that is held here, I will definitely will think twice before I commit to it due to the location.

Really beautiful venue and valet parking too! Was worried about going to a wedding in the heart of DTLA, but was an amazing experience.

There is a large hallway when you enter, then a bar to the left side in a separate room, and I think the women's restroom is across the way. If you kept straight, you enter the large ballroom where there are bars on either side and a stage in front where the dj was. For our particular event, there was a long table set up on the right side for a minimal offering of food while there was random furniture set up throughout the venue along with a couple of photo booths. Considering the previous years party was actually AT work, Candela was a nice upgrade!

The high ceilings and historic charm made the entire day feel elegant and classic. We loved being able to have our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all in one place without it ever feeling crowded. The open floor plan gave us so much freedom to design the space exactly how we wanted. The bridal suite was also a huge highlight- getting ready there with my bridesmaids was such a fun experience and having a separate grooms suite was a great bonus. The venue truly set the tone for a day that felt magical, timeless, and classy. Our coordinator, Ashton, was absolutely incredible and played such a huge role in making our day stress-free!! She handled EVERYTHING- communicating with vendors, staying organized, keeping the timeline on track, and making sure every detail was covered. She is punctual, professional, and truly on top of things. Because of Ashton, I felt calm and supported throughout the entire process. From the outside, we didn't see obvious signage indicating that this is the place. The telltale sign was that there were valet service staff outside. Also, the area itself is a little sketchy. But of course, that's out of the venue's control. Edit: I learned after the fact that the venue does not have control over catering so choose your caterers carefully ..ha Considering the price of admission for the gala we attended, the food was disappointingly mediocre. The salad was the highlight for me - it's got that gourmet vibe. The main course of beef and chicken was mediocre and the dessert was a joke. There were 9 people at the table, 6 of them left over 70% of their entrees untouched. That tells you a lot of about their opinion. The bar was crowded but the drinks were decent. The entertainment was much better than the food. The live band was Excellent and the casino was fun. The Majestic provided good service during the event. The lighting was super flattering for all the Instagram moments. lol The ambience inside was amazing and yes you will want to take many photos in your fancy outfits. :D Overall, a good event location.

Inside, there was enough room for a stage for speakers, a little backstage area for the speakers to congregate, counter space to serve food and drinks, space to sell merchandise, and an almost enclosed space for a separate session. Outdoors, there was seating for meals and open grassy and first space with tents for any outdoor programming. The event organizers rented some fancy outdoor temporary restrooms, so I'm unsure if Rolling Greens has restrooms at all or if they had restrooms, but it wasn't sufficient for our large gathering. I saw there was also parking available inside the gates that you can close, though for the event I attended, the parking spots were not utilized and we had to take the drawn parking spots outside, find street parking (which wasn't too bad), or do valet.
