Two weeks ago, we purchased a very nice used studio piano from Graves. Our salesman was Michael Spain. He was friendlv, courteous, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. While we were waiting for some additional information on the instrument, we were greeted by other Graves associates. All were very friendly and engaging. When the piano was delivered late last week. we noticed that the pedals made a loud squeaking noise We called Michael and he scheduled piano technician Francis to visit us within two business davs. She, too, was very friendly and knowledgeable of her craft. Then toniqht, Michael Spain called us to inquire our overall satisfaction with the repair and the piano. What Wonderfu customer service Graves Piano provides, both before and after the sale. My experience with Graves Piano was top-notch from beginning to end. I received a great price (well below MSRP/SMP) on a brand new Estonia L210 grand piano with very little negotiation. Mike, the sales manager, is just about the most gracious and genuine person you can imagine. He made me feel like I was the only customer who mattered from start to finish. I received my piano (I live 4 hours away from the shop) within 10 days of the sale (would have been even sooner had it not been for an unexpected ice storm). The service after the sale was just as superb -- some minor issues with action regulation and the sostenuto pedal were handled immediately and without hesitation by Zach, the store owner. I bought a Roland FP-10 as I'm a beginner. I would have loved to have owned the Bosendorfer, but I'm retired and right now it's a little out of my price range. But Mr. Spain treated me as if I had spent $55K! I think Graves is great! read more

I had been to Graves multiple times to get music books for my daughter. But tonight I was treated to something special, because she had a recital at Graves. I had no idea what to expect. They have a beautiful performance space for recitals! I would guess it holds 250 people. Excellent sound quality and comfortable seating. A real treat. Graves has a large selection of pianos over a vast range of prices and styles. If your spouse calls you and says, "Sweetie, would you mind picking up a grand piano on your way home?", this is your place. Staff is friendly and helpful. 100% satisfaction is not an option at this place. Bought 2 pianos from here and have not been happy with the second purchase. Swapped out the second (like for like) and still not pleased with the piano. I offered to trade up to a digital and they wanted to give me 50% of what I paid for the new piano. Will be looking elsewhere for better customer satisfaction. read more

We had an interesting encounter with the sales team at Graves Piano and Organ, but we got that straightened out. The interesting thing here is that they made a huge mistake on pricing one of their pianos, and when I saw the piano and fell in love with it, and was about to purchase it, the salesman mentioned that this particular piano was mis-priced, and was actually 5,000 more than was listed. My wife and I were a little uncomfortable, thinking that the salesman was trying to take advantage of us, but he wasn't. It was a mistake by the sales staff. Because Mr. Graves is an honest man, he honored the listed price on the piano, and came down and shook my hand personally, probably because he wanted to see the guy who was getting an accidental 5,000 discount off of a beautiful piano! I can't speak enough praises for how Mr. Graves and his sales team handled the situation, because I could tell he didn't want to sell the piano at that price. The store has plenty of pianos depending on your budget, and of course the high-end Steinways which your heart will ache for but your wallet will hate. Friendly staff, great selection and inventory, and the fact that they honored the price they listed even though the piano was clearly mis-priced. If we ever get good enough that we end up needing a bigger and perhaps more expensive piano, I will be coming back. With their trade-up program, it's a no-brainer. Great store. read more

An excellent local business. I had looked online to purchase a piano (electric). I'm a beginner, but in this area a bit susceptible to buying up. No fear here. They let me look at the different models, play them, and see how the keys felt (I'd only played an upright before, never electric). When I asked about the next model up from the one I was interested in, they were specific about the differences, and said that unless those particular programs were important to me, I'd be fine with the other one. I was very happy to be able to buy locally, and their price was competitive with what I'd seen online. Everything was handled professionally, but also in a friendly manner. I have dealt with Graves Piano and Organ ever since I started teaching piano in Columbus many years ago. They have been a steadfast partner to the Columbus piano teaching community, with thousands and thousands of students benefitting from their generosity. Graves has furnished pianos for the Ohio Music Teachers Association Pianorama for over 30 years, and hosts the Columbus Chapter of The National Guild of Piano Teachers every spring, so students of all ages can play world-class pianos for visiting adjudicators. Mr. Graves and his staff are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Of course they hope to sell pianos, but they do it in a cordial way. People come to shop for pianos at Graves from all over Ohio and sometimes from across the country. Columbus is fortunate to have such a great business here. read more

Graves Piano has a nice setup and selection of new and used pianos, but we were incredibly disappointed by the lack of professionalism used during a recent negotiation on a piano purchase. We had reached a verbal agreement over the phone with their VP of sales, and I was called back less than ten minutes later saying it was a mistake and the new price was over $1,000 more than the earlier agreement. My husband called the next day to discuss the issue and asked to speak with Mr. Graves who declined to take his call and never returned his call as requested. I would highly recommend getting any verbal deal immediately in writing as Graves did not honor the number or offered to meet us half way due to their error. read more
