The month leading up to our wedding was stressful with final details, vendor calls, and organization, but Rachel alleviated so much of that stress! Her incredibly calm demeanor helped me to relax in the final push of wedding planning. Our rehearsal ran smoothly, and our wedding day was perfect. I cannot recommend her enough to any couple in the PNW! Thank you, Rachel!!

We hired her for full planning over a year in advance, specifically selecting her top full planning package because we wanted a detailed planning structure and budget management plan. Unfortunately, there were issues from the start, but since this was my first wedding planning experience, I didn't know what to expect. However, as the months went by, it became clear that Rachel was not delivering what we had agreed. Despite paying extra for her most extensive package, we were surprised that we had not received anything personalized from Rachel after five months, with no mention of a checklist or budget plan. We were also concerned that she needed help remembering our budget, even though she had previously assured us that our wedding was feasible within our budget and would provide a detailed plan for achieving it. Interestingly, of all the wedding planners we spoke to, only Rachel assured us that our dream wedding was possible within our budget and guest count. In contrast, the other planners were honest and gave us a more realistic cost estimate. Even though I knew deep down that it wasn't possible, Rachel's claim that she had her wedding at the same venue made me trust her judgment. However, it turned out that Rachel had limited expertise in budget planning, and we'll always wonder why she gave us such false hope. When we expressed our concerns to Rachel the first week of December, she suggested we schedule a call in January, which was disconcerting since I had just informed her that I would have a month and a half of less busy work before I got really busy again. I wanted to take advantage of that time to complete as much work as possible. It would take 15-30 minutes to have a phone call and ease our concerns, but she didn't have time for a month. Despite having ample time to discuss our concerns, Rachel seemed uninterested and unenthusiastic about our wedding plans. After numerous red flags, we decided to part ways with Rachel over nine months before our wedding date, giving her enough time to fill that date with another wedding if she wanted. We even asked her to provide us with an itemized list of what she worked on and her hourly rate, intending to pay her for her time worked. However, it was clear that Rachel had yet to do what we agreed to, and the one thing she did do was initiate a conversation with the catering company via email, and I took it from there. We were left feeling scammed when Rachel refused to provide an itemized list of what she had worked on and told us that we had signed a non-refundable agreement, regardless of whether she had done the work. Hiring a new planner only confirmed that we had made the right decision to part ways with Rachel. Our new planner sent us a personalized mood board and budget within a week, which Rachel should have done, given that we paid her $5k for her services. We caution anyone considering Rachel and RR Events as their wedding planner. We were left feeling scammed, frustrated, and disappointed that we had paid so much for a service that was not delivered as promised. While we understand that everyone is different, Rachel's job is to provide personable service and uphold her end of the contract. We hope that our experience serves as a warning to others to beware of Rachel Ward & Rachel Rose Event Planning and that they find fantastic, knowledgeable planners who deliver what they promise.

Knowing that this was going to be one of the most important days in our lives, we did a lot of homework and interviewed several planners. In addition to experience and strong references, the single most important factor to us was chemistry. Warm and genuinely caring, we connected with Carisa from the start and knew we didn't want to entrust our wedding to anyone else. The other factors we considered: 1) clear, reliable communication skills - including the ability to listen and really understand our vision and intention for the event; 2) strong organizational skills and follow-through; 3) established relationships with the best vendors; 4) clear design inspiration and passion; and 5) a game-day MVP who calmly directs the show behind the scenes and makes everything run smoothly. Carisa delivered on every criteria, and, in fact, exceeded our high expectations. It has now been over a year since our special day, and we still get compliments from our guests who tell us it was the best wedding they've ever been to! The whole experience was truly joyous and magical, and Carisa and the entire Adornment Events team were essential in making our dream a reality. The financial investment in hiring Carisa and her A-team to seamlessly orchestrate our big day was worth every penny, and we could not have done it without them. We cannot recommend Carisa and Adornment Events highly enough!!!

We wanted an event that brought our community and family together to celebrate love, bikes, and camping in the stunning Columbia River Gorge, and it felt like Emee truly understood what was important to us from the start. There were so many tiny details she caught and helped us navigate. I particularly appreciated her calm support when we had a potential catering issue just three days before the wedding. She talked me off the ledge of worry and was willing to think through a full backup plan with me, before the issue resolved on its own. There were countless other instances of Emee handling things on the day of the wedding that let me, my husband, and our family just enjoy our time together. Thank you Emee, we saw your tireless effort to pull this event off for us, and we are so grateful for all of your work!

They were thorough, prompt, professional, and good at creatively solving problems as they arose. I would recommend EJP Events to anyone who is planning a large event - the experience was wonderful and my staff colleagues, supporters, and donors were all very impressed with the quality of our event. Emee and her team had great staffing at the event and skillfully coordinated all of our many shifting logistics for months leading up to the event. When we encountered obstacles, they handled them. When we needed to make changes, they cheerfully accommodated them. EJP has a "Can-do" attitude and they're both pragmatic and realistic about setting expectations while finding a way to get everything done. I'm so glad that we worked with EJP and they're at the top of my list for event planning in the future.
