I recommend Gray Duck for any key issue you may have. Eric is at the top of his class for cyber security, home locks, and in my case, a car key fob. I needed a replacement key fob for my new Toyota, and I definitely did not want to go to a dealer because of past experiences. Eric went to the trouble of researching and swiftly finding the rare key fob from a distant state. It can be really difficult to make a key fob work correctly for sensor-filled cars. Eric was able to make it all work. Before Gray Duck, I had talked to a couple of other locksmiths, and they were not equipped to make a replacement key for this Toyota. So if you're having a key issue, forget the other locksmiths and go straight to Gray Duck. read more

We had agreed he'd show up at 9:00am, but just prior to that he called to say he was running about 18 minutes late which was a nice touch. He was there in 17 minutes and set to work. The lock was installed and fully functional in no time even though the existing hole in the door had to be expanded. I recently lost the only key to my car and found myself faced with a staggering quote from the dealership to replace the ECM in order to program new keys. It wasn't until I talked to Eric two months later that I learned there was a way around the issue that didn't require a new computer. After de-sautering my SIM card he was able to reset it and program three freshly cut keys and a fob. Eric walked me through every step of the process, and even drove down to Mankato to work on my vehicle. Without his help, it's likely my car wouldn't have run again. I can't recommend Gray Duck Locks highly enough. If your issue is auto security, I have no doubt that Eric is your guy! read more

Eric did a fantastic job getting me what I needed. I bought my car used and it only came with one key. For years now, I've had this uneasy feeling about only having one key. Eric did a perfect job of cutting a new key for me, erasing all the other keys in my car that I never had and then adding back my original key and the new duplicate. (My Subaru needs an RFID tag for each key) I no longer have to worry about only having one key. Great service and timely as well. Do yourself a great favor, call Eric. read more

Eric responded within 30 minutes to my inquiry on Yelp on a Sunday afternoon and he was always that responsive throughout our transaction. He's professional, knowledgeable and easy to do business with. The price for the fob and programming was very reasonable ($232) and I got $50 off for traveling to his place of business rather than him coming to me. This would have cost $200 more at a dealership. I contacted Eric, at Grey Ducks Locks, to make a duplicate Subaru smart key. He was professional, knowledgable, and suggested various options for me. He then clearly indicated his professional fee to program the fob and the price of the two fobs he had in stock. His fees and prices are very fare and he does the programming.
