I just had a fantastic--and FAST!--experience with Fast Eddys replacing a front door lock on an older home! Eddy was very friendly, provided expert advice, and installed the lock with utmost professionalism. We had agreed he'd show up at 9:00am, but just prior to that he called to say he was running about 18 minutes late which was a nice touch. He was there in 17 minutes and set to work. The lock was installed and fully functional in no time even though the existing hole in the door had to be expanded. He provided excellent recommendation for the lock and several helpful tips about how to keep the lock working well for years to come. All this for a price that seemed very fair. The lock broke on one of our steel security doors and was completely inoperable, locked shut. The lock set was an old Marks lock that had actually broken internally, keeping the lock bar in place. Eddy and his assistant came by and recommended we pick up the lock set online; doing this saved us a couple hundred right off the bat, which was an excellent introduction. Once the lock arrived, Eddy fit us into his schedule the next day, knowing we'd already been dealing with this inoperable door for about a week by then. The lock did not give way easily -- it took well over an hour, but they persisted, and eventually (& quite loudly) defeated the broken, but formidable, lock. Not to understate it, this lock was a challenge (which makes me feel even more secure having a newer version of the same lock installed now). It was all smooth sailing from here, and we were all quite relieved we didn't have to escalate the process farther. They were very conscious of our pets the entire time, and allowed me to watch their processes, explaining as they did, and answering every question I had as well. Eddy even showed me the internals of the old lock set after pulling it out, including the part that had broken and jammed the lock bar, knowing I'd be interested to see what had been causing all those problems. I had a driver passing through Minneapolis that had car with keys locked inside. Called them a day before and explained the situation. I have a Porsche Panamera that needs the door unlocked. They said sure we can do it with no problem, next day my driver calls them and they refuse to do any service saying that they do not know how to unlock a Porsche. I called Fast Eddy's after the ignition cylinder in my older car locked up. First I tried the car dealership, but their price was very high. Plus I'd need to have the car towed in. A local car shop though they could do it, but suggested I try a locksmith first to avoid the hassle and cost of towing. So I used Yelp! to get some quotes. A couple of locksmith companies replied that they didn't do ignitions, but Fast Eddie replied back with a quote that was less than half the price of the dealership. And they could come to my house so no need for a tow truck. I gave them a call. Scott contacted me to arrange a time, called ahead of the appointment, and arrived right on schedule. He was professional, courteous, and definitely knew his stuff. He took the time to show me the old lock cylinder which was itself a replacement (I didn't realize it had been replaced before by the previous owner) and explained why it locked up. Eddy told me he'd come to my home the following morning to look at a door knob that was giving me problems and that he wouldn't charge me to come assess the problem.
