I've been going to this dealer for years ever since I moved to the Chattanooga area with all of my Hyundai cars. My sunroof recently started leaking and they failed to fix it multi times which lead to me having to go back and forth to the dealer. With my unresolved problems. They Provided me with a loaner which ended up with a flat they want to charge $180 For a replacement tire and can be replaced elsewhere for the same tire for way Cheaper. Now I'm stuck with no way to work or my car because they didn't fix the sunroof right the first time. If the sunroof was fixed the first time I wouldn't have been in a loaner and I would have been in my personal vehicle. Randy is very unprofessional and rude. I'll start by saying it was a blessing my deal didn't go through. Found a used Mazda that had decided on, worked with Coby for 3 days while waiting on deposit and financing. Communicated daily even 1 hour before I showed up to purchase and all was good. Get there and he was busy, so asked TJ to help me who is a total A$s by the way. Told me they sold it that morning, yes I was upset but not terribly, said that's fine I would rather do business elsewhere. As I was leaving TJ and some other goofy looking idiot made comments they were too scared to step outside and say to my face. Point is this place is an unprofessional joke full of immature idiots and I will do everything I can going forward to spread the word about this place. This Hyundai dealership has a terrible sales department. I recently purchased a Santa Fe not through them because they wouldn't work with another dealership to get the color we wanted. I had to have a repair and spent $500 in their service department with great service by them. I decided to ask the sales people 3 questions about the features in my new car that I just couldn't find in the manual. He did come out and I asked 1 question then another salesman comes and says he has a customer. Obvious set up, rescue from unwanted customer. I go inside because the other question was important enough to ask. The salesman has no customer and is not on the phone. All salesman are standing around with no customers on the floor. I ask to speak with someone who has a minute and am brushed off. I ask to speak to the manager and the man just walks off. I find the manager myself in the office right behind me with 3 other salesman standing around. Needless to say I'm upset now. They were all in on the "rescue" and still laughing about it. He just keeps saying I need to call my salesman. I explain I just spent $500 in service why can't you answer a question on features. His response didn't change. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS DEALERSHIP TO ANYONE. The disrespect was unbelievable. I would have been a future customer both in service and sales but now, not happening. If I could less than 1 star, I would! Service is absolute trash!!! I took my car there only due to proximity during Covid, if you can bypass this location and go to the Chattanooga Hyundai dealer. Gray Epperson Hyuandai left me sitting in the waiting room for hours (with an appointment) before telling me that no one was available to do my car until later in the evening. Mind you I was very visibly pregnant (about 6-7 months) and starving. Furthermore, my car had a recall and they had to replace my engine, which meant I was without a car for a month and Hyuandai paid for a rental. They called and said I need to return the rental but my car wasn't ready. When they finally called for me to pick up my car, my steering wheel was not aligned, new lights were on the dashboard, my heat only worked while driving and the car shook. They told me to bring it back a few days later and they "fixed" it. Only to find out when my husband took my car in to the Chattanooga dealer for an oil change that my car needed another $500 worth of work because Gray Epperson Hyuandai lied and charged me for service they didn't perform i.e. the coolant and other fluids had not been changed since 2017 which is why my heat doesn't work as it should. My father took his 17 Elantra to have the transmission serviced and flushed. The mechanic didn't properly tighten the drain plug and all the transmission fluid leaked out of his transmission over a 3 week period resulting in the transmission seizing. This is obviously not his fault and Gray Epperson Hyundai refuses to fix the problem. He was even told they fired that mechanic and they still refuse to replace the obviously damaged transmission. They filled it back up with fluid and told him it is good to go. Any actual mechanic knows that a transmission ran without fluid for any amount of time causes damage to that transmission. Shame on you Gray Epperson Hyundai for not fixing your own mistake. read more

We bought a used Buick Encore from Jared but he is a liar so don't buy anything from him. We took the car back 5 times to get the engine light off. He said they spent over $1400 on it to get the light off and their service department said they can't get it off so now we were supposed to start paying them for the original complaint. I took it took integrity Buick in Chattanooga. They charged us $1500 to get the light off and informed us that the repairs grey Epperson made NEVER HAPPENED. So the service girl lied as well. I bought a truck that was "owned by the manager's uncle" before traded in. Since it was a family trade in, they assured me everything was great and "would last me a long time". I purchased and drove it home to Chattanooga where the truck overheated. Upon inspection, it was completely out of coolant. After adding almost 2 gallons to the reservoir it seemed to be ok. The coolant all leaked out overnight in my garage. $1900 to fix. Gray Epperson dealership is a liar and should not be trusted. Even if you have a warranty, I hope you never need to contact them because they have been "too busy" to talk to me for 2 weeks now. No response to email, text, or call. If you do not have extra money for repairs look elsewhere for a vehicle. read more

I took my vehicle for its 30,000 maintenance work on July 3. I was assured everything went well and was handed my keys. After leaving the dealership, I got onto APD 40 and when I accelerated above 35, my engine began acting up and let out a giant puff of black smoke. I pulled over and called the Service department and spoke with Ronnie who assured me it was normal and that it must have been the last of the buildup being cycled out. He said just to call him if I had any more issues. I hung up and got onto 75S. I got up to about 45 this time before it began rapidly misfiring and my check engine light came on. I was forced to pull over and sit on 75S until someone from Hyundai's Roadside Assistance--not the dealer who was 2 miles away--came to tow me back. When I finally got back to the dealership, everyone in the Service department had gone home. Ronnie was nice enough to leave some keys to a loaner car for me to use in the interim. They were closed for July 4 so I called on July 5 to inquire about the state of my car--two hours after they opened and was told to call back in an hour. I stated that they needed to call me, which they did, almost 2 hours later. When I went to pick it up, I asked to speak with the manager, Brian. He was not helpful nor effective in the least. I was inconvenienced and put in danger because of their negligence and lack of follow through. Highly disappointed in the experience. read more

They overcharged me on a used car with 44,000 miles an I tried to call to speak with someone about the matter an no one has tried to reach out to me about the matter.
