In addition to the branch removals, tree shaping and trimming, Matthew took the time to replace an old cable on our biggest locust that he saw was cutting into the bark with a superior cabling system. He and his crew were all so helpful, pleasant, and respectful of the yard and garden. Despite all the heavy branches that needed trimming, there was no damage to anything and cleanup was above and beyond. We vetted six different companies before hiring Hemlock (one didn't even think we needed a permit!) and can say we definitely made the right hiring choice. The permitting process with the city was long (about six months), complicated, and occasionally frustration. That said, Brandon, who is obviously well respected and connected in the industry, kept us informed every step of the way and worked so hard to (eventually) get the permit approved. Once we got the permit, the turnaround to getting us on their schedule was so fast and efficient. The crew were wonderful and worked tirelessly; they were extremely knowledgeable, used safe methods, and took great care to protect our surrounding structures. And the cleanup was incredible! That did not make the cut for winning our bid. My father had his own tree company for years, Z Trees, I went with, helping, so I am a bit particular what I want plus one tree was on our neighbor's property and leaning over our roof. We were in stop and go traffic on the Woodinville-Duvall road and he was behind me. I didn't go for 2 seconds so he honked. I waved to him. He then began yelling slurs and names out the window at me, flipping me off, and what was really scary was he was driving what looked like 3 inches my the back of my car. Every time we stopped he would scream that I was a "f---king b--ch". I am a teacher and was literally saying "I hope you have a good day!! We aren't going anywhere and you are being very aggressive! you need to stop!" What he didn't realize was that the name of the company "wizard" was in greenish blue letters on the side of the truck WITH a arborist trailer in the back. Anyway. If someone wants work done by someone with this character, then go for it. He is not a nice person and truly was acting irrational on the road. ***edited to add context: this was completely stopped. The car moved up about 5 feet ahead again within 2 seconds. This was not dangerous again because it was stand still traffic (see above that we were stopped long enough for me to hear you scream at me) regardless of me gesturing that the other car ahead of me ALREADY stopped by the time I moved up, you should never speak to the way you did especially with your business plastered across your truck.

The entire crew of six were highly capable safety-minded individuals who showed up on time and were extremely organized and efficient in their methodology in removing the trees. They moved the cut trees safely to the wood chipper and cleaned up the property so no signs of debris was left. The team was very friendly, respectful and efficient at every stage of the process.
