Wide variety of plants available. I went during the end of season sale. They had some reasonably priced plants to choose from. It's literally a greenhouse. If you are mobility challenged then this may not be the place for you though. The ground is very uneven in the greenhouse and not spacious enough for standard wheelchairs in many of the indoor areas. I didn't find anything I wanted and likely may have earlier in the season. They did had a variety of outdoor plants for those that like gardening. The staff I spoke to was friendly read more

I've been wanting to check out this greenhouse for months and months! I finally managed to make it out here & it was WORTH IT! Graye's offers such a large selection of wonderful plants, I could've spent hours browsing their selection. The fact that I spent half an hour on a 90+ degree day in this greenhouse when I absolutely loathe the heat should tell you everything you need to know about how wonderful this place is! The staff were so friendly and knowledgeable as well. One of them told me not to get one of the ferns I wanted to buy because they were watching these ferns for a certain insect and didn't want me buying it, only for it to spread to my other houseplants, which was greatly appreciated. She even showed me where they were on the plants and how to look out for them, which I would have had no idea about if she hadn't mentioned it. I appreciate people to prioritize the longevity of a customer's experience over the short-term nature of making a single sale. Also, they have an entire massive HALF of their greenhouse that is their propagation house, filled with gorgeous plants they are working hard to propagate and aren't for sale yet! I love that & it definitely encourages all plant lovers to continue coming back to check out their latest stock as the things they propagate become well-established enough where they're confident in selling them. I'm pretty good at gardening and keeping outside plants alive (despite my poor, root riddled soil fighting me on it!) but indoor plants have not been my forte. First, our house doesn't really have great natural light so I've always been intimidated. But I really wanted to have some greenery so I decided to give it a shot. Over the last year I started small, bought a couple houseplants at local groceries, and managed to keep them alive. So I thought, maybe it's time to try for more. So I went to Graye's Greenhouse for some variety. First off, if you're having a bad day or it's gloomy and you need a little brightness, GO HERE (well, when we're all able to leave our houses again, anyway). It's so cheerful. Full of beautiful plants, succulents, Koi ponds, and more. Even just taking a deep breath in here feels relaxing with all the oxygen from the plants! The quality of the plants is great and the staff is fantastic for giving advice on how to keep them healthy and thriving. I bought a few low light friendly plants and succulents I'm so glad to have them in my home now that we're stuck indoors for the foreseeable future. Can't wait to come back when we're all back out in the world to get some more now that I've built up my confidence! read more

I enjoy Graye's Greenhouse for the service.  I am always greeted warmly when I arrive there even on the coldest days.  I also appreciate their knowledge and willingness to assist. I have challenging spots in my house for plants.  It has been a constant struggle keeping the plants healthy and vigorous.  Since I have been shopping at Graye's Greenhouse these problems have gone away.  We have a nice collection of houseplants now that are doing well and thriving in the locations they have been placed.  This is due in a combination to the advice and information provided to me at Graye's Greenhouse and the fantastic plants they furnish there. The selection at Graye's Greenhouse is truly a marvel.  They have a wide variety of plants suitable for a wide variety of climate and light levels.  It's a pleasure just to browse there.  I have learned quite a lot at Graye's Greenhouse. Such a great greenhouse! They have a lot of indoor plants that you're not going to find anywhere else in SE Mi, and the plants are super affordable. Many plants don't have IDs on them and are all over the place, but that's okay because the staff is super friendly, approachable, and happy to answer any questions. So, unless you're super confident with your IDs be prepared to engage. :) They propagate most (if not all?) of their stock onsite, so you might need to check to see what plants are for sale and what might not be either because it still needs to grow a bit more or it's a mother plant. Also, if you don't see a plant you're looking for, just ask! They might have it tucked away (found my begonia fannie moser this way). read more

They had a small but varied selection of tomato plants, sold in 4-packs or in single pots for the larger plants. Very nice herb selection too - my chocolate mint, oregano and Italian parsley are healthy and bountiful after a bit over a month in my care. Cash only. Parking can be confusing for first timers, but if the lawn/dirt by the house and greenhouse is full, there's another space to the right of the greenhouse. Support local! read more

This place has reasonable prices and the ladies working in here are SO helpful and nice. If you have a question about indoor plants and where they should be placed or what you can put in say, a North facing window, they know and can help. I went specifically for scented geraniums and found Old Spice, Attar rose, lemon rose, lime, peach, hazelnut, cinnamon. I cannot believe I haven't reviewed Grayes before. THIS IS THE BEST PLACE EVER. They carry fairy garden plants, succulents of every size and shape, and other unique plants you can't find anywhere else, or if you do, they'll be much more expensive. They have a very very large selection of succulents and are well-versed in each plant and their habits. You can get super small pots for dirt cheap (maybe pun intended) and larger plants which are still very reasonably priced. They also go to different plant shows in the area, so keep a look out for mobile Grayes! Even if you just go and walk around the greenhouses, it's worth the trip. Get your dose of vitamin sun, check out some beautiful plants and go home happy! You won't regret visiting this place, especially if you're a succulent collector like myself. read more

This greenhouse is independently woman-owned and is absolutely fabulous. Everywhere you look there are gorgeous unique plants -- most are houseplants but during seasonal times there are herbs & veggies. They are the best! My wife and I get almost all of our succulents and hanging plants from here. They have a unique collection of cacti and driftwood for sale. Depending on the selection of seeds you bring them, they will sometimes start them for you in their greenhouse for a moderate fee. We do this with some of our peppers and tomatoes when we run out of growlight space at our house. Great family business! read more

I have been here a couple of times. I find the staff to be inattentive and rude. Today I was there looking to buy 30 succulents for a party. I was walking around for 20 minutes; part of the staff was sitting outside at a table and didn't acknowledge me and two other people were in the back room and never came out to help me. The selection they had was anemic and the prices are ridiculous. Very small individual succulents for $6 and $8. I finally left and went down to Eastern Market where they had thousands of beautiful succulents for $2 each. read more

Very impressive selection of cactii and succulents. Many hard to find perennials, annuals and vegetables. Very picturesque greenhouses are nearly 90 years old and open for all to enjoy, in season. The owners are quite knowledgeable and willing to help. If you're looking for acres of petunias and impatiens, this isn't that kind of greenhouse.
