I specifically requested the use of a sod cutter and commercial grade landscape fabric. The landscape fabric began ripping and pulling out within hours. Some portions were layered with multiple scraps. They removed dead grass and some dirt with a combination of shovels and a tiller I provided. They did not have the right tools or materials. They assured me they could remove the sod and would also spray the remaining roots so it would not return. I reached out about the poor landscape fabric within 24 hours. 9 days later when boulders were placed it was apparent that in most areas the sod was not removed at all. They did not spray the grass deterrent. When I spoke to them 9 days later they made many excuses for the poor quality of work, and blocked me on their contact number and all accounts. Pictures taken day 1 and day 9 after work was "done." $1700+ for the work and materials...

The latest appointment in the day is 1-3 pm which is difficult for our work schedule. When we opted for the 1-3 the service person called at 11:30 saying they were on their way! That seems too far outside the windows to expect customers to quickly adjust. They also give a base-line, per-call price but dot give an estimate before working. They also invoice for their services. Once the work was done it took 2 phone calls and 2 hours just to know how much we owed for the fix.

I hired Elite Design Landscape (owner John T) on April 10, 2021, for an extensive landscaping project (large concrete patio, walkway, firepit, outdoor lighting, new sprinklers, new landscaping around the house and tree removal).   At the beginning John was great - super communicative & responsive.  I paid the company an initial start-up fee, followed by a second installment before they began work on the patio - in total:  $11,137.  That's when the issues began... From April 10 - June 10 Elite Design performed only 2.5 days of work. The forms constructed for the patio were not correct - The stairs were not centered with the door and the walkway was not placed according to plan. On April 27th an unauthorized picture of my home was posted on Elite Design Landscape's FB page. I contacted John about the project to discuss fixing the forms and asked that he remove the picture of my home. He replied and agreed to meet with me, however, he never showed up (May 8 & 13). No explanation was provided.  He also ignored my request to remove the photo.  He sent a few emails giving me excuses and asking me if I had any questions......but wouldn't respond to my questions.  I requested meetings on May 19, 22, 25, and 28 to get the project back on track.  All meeting requests were ignored as were my questions concerning the project & the photo on FB.  After his no show on May 28, I requested a refund - kinda hard to work with someone who won't engage in a dialog or show up. This was also ignored. All the work that he did needs to be redone (I have since learned the manner the workers constructed the patio forms is defective and would not have held the weight of the concrete when poured), my yard is torn up, I have concrete stairs that were removed now sitting in my driveway & an iron railing in my yard. I am filing a complaint with the BBB. If it is not resolved, I will head to court.

We contacted him and simply asked to come resolve the issue and he said he would. We have not heard from him since despite repeated text messages and phone calls. The handrail for the retaining wall turned out great. I also was in a time crunch to get the handrail done quickly for a city inspection for a new home and they worked really hard to accommodate me. I would definitely hire them again for future work and I would definitely recommend them for their craftsmanship and reasonable pricing. Carlos was great to work with.
