I drove up from San Antonio to purchase the item and met him at his family's Lonestar Tile and Granite business location on FM-1187 shook hands with everyone and paid the agreed price to directly Anthony Armendariz in cash. There were other people there his uncle, his girlfriend who I had been communicating with and other workers. When I arrived, it was already dark and the item was already hanging from a forklift ready to load. It was late and I was in a hurry to get on the road back to San Antonio, so I quickly loaded the item and left and no point in our communication did anyone ever mention the item missing parts or being not functional. 5 minutes down the road I stopped at QT to fuel up and to check my straps as the items was big and heavy. While checking my straps I noticed the item was missing the main hydraulic control component. I immediately call Anthony Armendariz girl friend who is the persons I had been communication with, and she said that they were not aware that anything was wrong with or missing from the item and said they would be happy to return my money. She also said that there was some parts that possibly went to the piece of equipment at the business and I could go back and look at them. At this point I was pretty sure it was just an honest oversite, and the part would be found at the business, and I would be happy to take it with me and sort it out when I got home but not luck. The missing very important and very expensive part was not able to be found I then communicated this to Anthony Armendariz and his girl friend and they then stopped communicating with me at all. I decided that my best course of action was to unload the item and leave it there and with the hope that these people would do the right thing and return my money. Unfortunately I had to much faith in the honestly of the company and this family and they will not return my calls or messages. I am posting this because this is a family business and if this is how they operate it should be known to community. I am still hopeful that they will do the right thing but we will see and I will up date this if the situation changes.

I hired Tello Stone Work & Concrete for a custom outdoor fireplace finish project. The signed…read morecontract included surface preparation, stucco application, stone installation, mantle/hearth detailing, finishing, final touch-ups, and cleanup. Some of the initial stonework looked good, and I complimented the work during the project. Unfortunately, serious issues arose after the hearth slabs were installed. The hearth slab installation did not match the approved rendering/design, and all four hearth slab pieces had issues, including poor cuts/joints, visible gouges/scrapes, and a visible front-edge chip that was filled with mortar instead of being properly corrected. These were not natural stone variations, veining, or normal imperfections. The slabs were damaged during handling and/or installation. After I requested replacement/correction, Hector eventually agreed that the damaged hearth stone would be replaced. After that, communication deteriorated and the company did not return to complete the correction or the remaining contracted work. Tello Stone Work & Concrete later told me they did not want to finish the project, even though we had a signed contract covering the remaining work, including stucco application, finishing, final touch-ups, and cleanup. They also stated that stucco was not part of the original quoted scope, even though the signed contract specifically included stucco application. The project was left incomplete, cleanup was not completed, and I was left with a damaged/problematic hearth, unfinished stucco work, delays, stress, and the added cost of finding another contractor willing to complete/correct partially completed work. The company offered a full refund of my $1,800 deposit, but later stated they would only refund it if I allowed them to remove/demolish installed stone/materials from my fireplace. I did not agree to allow demolition or removal because of the risk of additional damage to the existing structure/fireplace. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Tello Stone Work & Concrete for a detailed custom finish project. I have photos, the signed contract, emails, and text messages documenting my experience.
