Terrible service. Went in for plates and was told she's training and her trainer went out. I'll have to wait. Waited 30 minutes. No apology. Then overcharged. I accused of theft but the claimed that "he" hasn't updated the cost on the board. Bs. You charged me 10% fee for credit instead of the 8% because you couldn't do the math. The one girl seemed to think it was impossible for a human to tell the answer and it should be dictated by the computer. Just sad. read more

Neighbors had noted their horrible service experiences here. They were correct! Interrupted repeatedly before finishing my first sentence (a really simple request), today's crabby person first offered wrong information and then told me not to be so rude. It's rude to cut people off and fail to listen. The rude belongs here. Go anywhere else but Grayslake Currency Exchange, drive far away if you must! It's really bad and unfriendly here. Very unpleasant staff , they have an attitude like they are doing you favorite for free. The so call "manager' who works there the longest ( since new owner) has no customer service skills, she makes every transaction very uncomfortable . I was opting to send a Western Union Transaction. I had never utilized this Currency Exchange before, nor had I ever Utilized Western Union. I took my time to read the FINE PRINT, to make certain I was following all of the instructions; precisely, and the cashier told me that I didn't need to read it, that no one reads it , and that I was being WEIRD. Who INSULTS their customers???? Beyond APPALLED, that because I was doing something different than the average customer, that I was being insulted, and told NOT to do something. Terrible customer service!!! I think it was the manager I dealt with but I am not sure. This is what happened. On 11/04/2017 I had to pay my electric bill. I have not used that location in a few months. Last time I was there the debit card machine for debit card transactions was out. I went and they said that transactions had to be done in cash. I asked calmly, "didn't you ever get your debit card machine fixed?" The woman behind the counter snapped off at me and yelled, "DON"T YELL AT ME OR I"M NOT SERVING YOU!!" Number one I was not yelling at all. Number two she raised her voice a lot more than I did. Number three I am a technical management major at DeVry, and if a customer is trying to pay you money that is not how you treat them. I asked if I could speak with her supervisor. She gave me the number for a complaint line. I called it 3 times in 3 days and they never got back to me. Just go to the Round Lake Currency Exchange. They are much nicer over there. read more

They tried to charge me $468 dollars to title and tax my car. I went to the DMV and it was $210. This place will rip you off in a heartbeat! Never use this place! Customer service sux! prices are not as posted and you never know if you will get a correct answer or if they are skimming to make money for themselves. and they have the audacity to put up a tip jar. I've been coming here with my mother multiple times to send money to family out of the country and we're always met with RUDE service by the same woman. There are two other ladies that are kind and helpful but I'm genuinely surprised that this woman has not been fired yet. She can not multitask and instead of asking to wait politely while she completes a task, she would rudely tell us she's not done or that we're going too fast. I'm usually very patient and calm when tellers ask me to wait but whenever we ask questions to this woman, she would roll her eyes, scoff, and look at her coworkers like we're the DUMBEST people in the world. This has happened every time we are greeted with the same lady and once we see her entering the room, it is always the worst experience every time. Finally taking the time to say we're never coming back and that you need to double check your customer service. I hope no one else has to experience this. read more

Anazing the women inside told me that she doesnt know to do my transfer registration and tax for car because she is new... And than she told me that she can do it but she wanted to charge me 395 just for registration transfer, instead that customer service on phone call told me that charge for the transfer is 195... so someone doesnt doin your job how is supposed. read more
