Ever since switching from Petsmart's (unfortunately overpriced) grooming and vet services after getting our pup 3 years ago, Grayson is always on top of it, and reasonable! We have had very helpful staff that are friendly, knowledgeable to remind us of upcoming due dates for shots, exams, etc, and what is needed before grooming/boarding. We lost our sweet bunny Thump last month but even the smaller pets are well taken care of when needs arise, thanks to Dr. Grimmett's exotic expertise. He was even on call and was willing to check in by text if in a difficult situation when the office was not open. read more

During the pandemic , there was a groomer change and I was devastated. Tina , the new groomer is AMAZING!! She really does a good job and I like her work. I just moved to the area and was unsure where to take our cat when she had an UTI. A friend of mine recommended Clinic ...and they were right down the street. They got us in the next day, the receptionists were incredibly sweet along with the veg tech and vet. I would definitely recommend them! And very affordable! read more

As pet owners, we never want to part with our four-legged best friends. From my personal experience, veterinary hospitals that offer boarding for our furry babies do nothing more than feed, cage, and allow our companions to use the bathroom 3 times a day. My preconception has been irreparably changed since discovering Grayson Valley. The staff - from the veterinarians to the techs - are dedicated to health, happiness, and overall well-being of all animals. In an ideal world, every such place would be described this way, but, unfortunately, that's not the case. They are truly few and far between. Grayson Valley is one of a kind! They hire only those whose love and compassion for all animals surpasses any other prerequisite. My baby, a 4 year old Shepherd Mix named Atticus, has been there for two weeks. He is my reason for being and the staff intuitively recognized this. So much so that they send me several videos daily in order to ease my anxiety whilst being away from [him]. I never even requested they do so and that alone speaks volumes on their integrity, understanding, and compassion. warning!!!!! do not go here they are some rip-off charge $60 to give a 7 mos shih-tzu a cut.. then i talk with them they told me $45 for her cut, and i explained to them how we wanted her cut, get there i didn't recognize my baby,they over cut her, cut all hair off, when i say i will never,never go here again i want first and last time.. how u just change your price on someone and do a very,very pissed poor job.. if you love your pets do not bring them to this so called pet clinic.. i'm very upset, and they don't deserve this one star at all.. my rating is 0 all around.. read more

Had a very bad experience this past weekend with this Pet Clinic. I have been taking my 2 pups here now for about 5 years. Out of all the Pet Clinic in Trussville I have been choosing this on for wellness, recently grooming , and so this weekend due to last minute travel decided to try the boarding. Well, that did not work out to well at all. 1.) The biggest problem was the condition the dogs were in when we picked them up. We just had them groomed a week or so ago prior to knowing we were going out of town at the same place Grayson Valley Pet Clinic. When we picked them up Sunday during the pickup window they smelled really bad. I thoght maybe it was just the smell in the place they kept them. It was not both dogs had to be re-bathed due to having dog feces on them. Now I have boarded this dogs severval times in different places and never had this happen. I am disabled so I am not able to handle bathing the boy dog even though he weighs under 25 pounds. We were able to bath the girl she is about 18 pounds. I spoke with them first thing Monday and they couldnt even bath him until Wednesday. So this meant 2 more days of this on him . Then after they did get to him they acutally charged me again $40 for the bath. Unreal...... 2.) They charged for Sunday Night stay eventhough we picked them up on Sunday during their pickup window. So extra night of charge when they were not there. Unreal.... 3.) They charged to give the girl pup her medicine which they prescribe and fill. Eventhough I brought the medicine I bought from them they chaged me to give it to he one pill 2xs a day. Unreal 4.) They did not clean them up or check them before we picked them up . We even called 2 hours ahead to verify we were still coming. 5.) The Doctor that own/runs the place would not do anything about the bathing charges He said they cant control if a dog rolls around in poop. These dogs if taken out on time will not poop in the place they sleep and if so they will get away from it so you will not think they did it not roll around in it they are 8 and 6 years old. So with this exprience and the Doctor not working with us on the re-bathing charges I would not recommend this Grayson Valley Pet Clinic for boarding at all. I was looking for a new vet and expected to spend month's trying out ckinics... nope! This was my first try and I've found my new vet. I expected to have to wait a while since I didn't make an appointment, but I only waited 10 minutes. The vet tech was super sweet and loved on my cat while we waited for the doctor. Dr. Lauren was very nice and gave me many options to treat my baby's issue so that I was able to make what I consider the best choice for him. And I only spent $126 for the exam, a steroid shot, and 3 months of flea meds. I highly recommend this clinic! read more

I have an African Grey.. She was 16 in May.. Dr Grimmett is her beak..wings.. Nails and a couple other issues man!! Nobody else.. We have moved a little over 100 miles away but guess what.. She loves to ride.. And I love peace of mind!! We go see him when she needs help.... I trust him completely and I feel like he truly cares about Weezie and Me! He keeps her from struggling... now that she is a bit older.. As he says she is a pound of fury.. Strong.. I cannot say enough about him... Weezie has said a few things about him and to him.... Including "Roll Tide" on her first meeting with him.. 2004.. I believe.. He took it well.. I explained she got it off tv.. And that is true.. Weezie has been with me constantly for 14 years.... I will send a video if requested of our visit today. It wiill say more than I could ever say. The office staff is awsome as well.. I certainly realize they allow things to go as smoothly as they do. We had a 2:00 appt.. Left home at 12:30.. Traffic was moving.. We were on time.. He was as well.. Took his time as always and we were home by 4:30. 105 miles. read more

We found them when we moved here almost 10 years ago. The staff has been amazing with our 4 dogs whether it was an emergency, regular visits or boarding. We are moving soon and can only hope to find a vet clinic as wonderful as Grayson Valley Pet Clinic. read more

We have used a number of vets, but have found our permanent one now. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable; always going above and beyond to accommodate your needs. My pet is timid but is completely at ease with the staff and doctors. Prices are great and Dr. Grimmett always ges over the options for treatment providing pros and cons for each. From making me feel comfortable, and more importantly making my baby feel comfortable and safe, to the very affordable and clean building, the amazing staff, especially Jessica, so much love from her and all the others that I don't know their names, but wow, by far our best choice for a Vet clinic, plus they have the sweetest most talented groomer on staff. We took our French Lop rabbit to Dr. Grimmelin because it had not eaten or drank water in 2 days. The doctor could not find anything wrong with it but decided to put him on antibiotics just in case. He gave us his cell number in case we needed him. The next morning we woke up and our bunny was dead. I text his cell and he didn't respond. I called Monday morning and the Dr. said he did not diagnose the bunny with anything and would not even refund his $100 vet bill! read more

Worst vet EVER and I've been to vets all over Alabama. The lady at the front desk treats you like garbage, they are overpriced, and they wouldn't know veterinary medicine if it bit them in the...you know. We took our dog to Dr. Bentley and she told us that she had cancer and had to be put down. Instead of doing so, we took her to a specialist and found out that she just had a head cold. A week before, our other dog had hot spots and she wanted to put her under anesthesia, shave her, put all kinds of needles in her and creams on her and then shove a cone over her head. We didn't listen and just self treated and she is much better. They still made us by that ridiculous cone though. It is impossible to leave there for under $100 even for a routine check up. I feel thoroughly violated. AVOID AT ALL COST! read more
