I took my newest midsi ze golden doodle there who had never been cut. To my knowledge had no matts but picked her up completely shaved to the skin. I took their advice, needed to b done. But there were multiple nicks/cuts i noticed later. Never complained.i figured probably due to the shave. When trying to give a 2nd chance and groom more often. Cant even get a return phone call to book an appt. Or anyone at any day or time to answer the phone. Horrible business practice. I will take both dogs and $ elsewhere. read more

I dropped my dog off at 8:10am and they called me at 4pm to tell me that they were unable to groom my dog because he "just wasn't having it". They said he was being aggressive towards other dogs and a "liability" for their workers. They also told me that he was too big for their table and asked if he's ever been groomed before because he just wasn't having it with the grooming. He is a Golden Retriever who is never aggressive. I groom him every 6 months and he visits dog parks regularly and never shows aggression towards dogs or people. So my dog was there for 8 hours and only got a bath and was not groomed, and I had to take the grooming upon myself after getting home. I think they just wanted to go home for the day because they close at 5pm and didn't want to take the time to groom him since it was already 4pm. He wasn't even fully dry from his bath when I picked him up. Complete waste of time and just ridiculous. Me and my "aggressive" Golden Retriever won't be back! :) read more

I live right behind this place, so we were the very first in the morning to drop off my lap dog. Reminder this dog is barely at 9-10 pounds and her coat is already shaved; just needed a touch up on the head. Still not done 3 HOURS later. Inquired about my dog over the phone and it was the rudest exchange I've had with a service provider. I see that there are other negative reviews from years ago. The reason I made this review is because this place is still the crappy, rude, and terrible service provider it was 5 years ago. No water or food for the dogs, yet they hold them all day. These people do not care about your PETS DO NOT GO HERE. read more

First off the puppy was excited to go! That tells me a lot about the groomer- I am from out of town and took my friends dog to them- James was clawing at the door to get out and raised to the ram (he doesn't like stairs so love that they have a ramp) and was begging to come in the staff was professional and friendly greeting James and myself as well as affordable. We were a walk in - meaning it will take longer. Make an appointment if you are in a time crunch-. I dropped the baby off at 1030 and had him picked up by 130. He looks like a million bucks and got a cute green bandana :) also happy to say his place is budget friendly - I think they only take cash- definitely have to go if you have fur babies :) read more

I couldn't get an appointment for a couple of weeks at the groomer near my home so I called Myra's. They told me I could bring her that Saturday and that she did not need an appointment time. So I dropped my Maltese doggie baby off here as early as I was told that I could on a Saturday morning in hopes that I would be one of the first ones and she wouldn't be there for long. She tends to get very anxious with other people. I hung around Gardendale to do some shopping instead of driving 20 min back home and having to drive back to pick her up. I was only expecting it to take a couple of hours since I dropped her off so early. After 6 hours I called to make sure they had not tried to contact me. They said they hadn't started on her yet but would soon. 2 hours after that they finally called me to say she was being dried. When I picked her up I was so aggrivated that I just paid and got out of the door as fast as I could. There were no apologies from the staff for how long it took. When I put her down in the car and got a good look at her hair cut I was astounded at how bad it was. I felt like I had just been dooped. My poor baby had been suffering there in a cage for that long without food, and who knows water, and she looked THIS bad? There were uneven pieces sticking out all over the place, her paws had not been trimmed at all, and she did not receive the proper hygenic cut. Yes I should have gone back in and complained and allowed them to make it right but she had already been there for 8 hours and I couldn't stand the idea of passing her off to them again. So from that point on I vowed to only use the sweet, reliable groomer down the road from my house and just call early to get an appointment. read more

My dogs have been going to Myra's for a little over a year. They are always accommodating, and take great care of my dogs. My schnauzer has a lot of allergies, and they remember that she can't have anything scented or perfumed. You don't know how huge a relief that is to not have to remember to tell a groomer that each time you enter their doors. My girls always leave clean, fluffed and in matching bandannas (or bows). I highly recommend Myra's to anyone looking for a groomer. read more

I am so sorry my babies ever went to this place. My husband was so excited to take our three babies. It was a surprise for me. I had been out of town for 3 weeks . They kept them from early morning until almost 6:PM. They were cut unevenly. Not a professional cut at all! Their skin had been cut in several places. They scratched constantly. Within 2 days they had sores and scabs all over them. It has been over 4 weeks and we are still having to treat them for the fungus that they caught there. One of our babies has lost all his hair around one of his eyes. These babies are under 10lbs. and indoor pets. It is heartbreaking. I think they had too many dogs that day and did not take proper precautions as far as cleanliness. The amount of dogs may have been the problem with their cuts. I would NEVER recommend this business !! read more
