Dr Cardinal treated my foot quickly, effectively and with a very light-touch scalpel. Barely felt the entire treatment, and my foot feels so much better already! Dr Cardinal is personable and warm, and I am so very happy to have found a podiatrist that is not only convenient to visit, but so clearly competent. If you drive to his office in Del Ray, he does have parking behind the building. If you can't get around, by all means take advantage of his mobile practice and he'll come to you! Dr. Matt knows his stuff and is a great diagnostician. Under his patient care I have increased mobility, greater flexibility and less discomfort. Part of every visit is a review of simple exercises I can be doing at home to maintain the improvements achieved during my visits. My husband had been treated by Dr Matt regularly for shoulder issues and has been able to avoid surgery through regular sessions and a greater understanding of how to prevent aggravating his shoulder. Convenient location, parking, State of the art office and excellent experience. Minor or major physical therapy needs are all handled with experience at care at Potomac Physical Therapy.

She helped me through this process, was very knowledgeable of all answers to the questions that I had. Very courteous too. The nurse ANGELA who actually helped me get ready for surgery was very considerate and hospitable. I'm sure she could tell I was very nervous. She made sure I was comfortable and checked on me frequently. Keeping me informed to any information that was needed. Masks and social distancing were inforced as much as possible. My rating is not for my doctor. He is amazing and so was the anaesthetist-- Just the surgery…read morecenter. I was hesitant to go there instead of a hospital for my surgery but my daughter (who is a nurse) assured me they are just as good. So here are the issues I experienced which made me feel they are not organized or as professional as a hospital from my past experiences. First, on my way to the hospital I received a call that the surgery was delayed due to nonreceipt of "equipment" needed. They gave me a time of 1045 for a 1200 surgery. When I arrived I was told they were waiting for me as I was due there at 0930. I told them that was not what I was told on the phone and 2 of us heard it (myself and granddaughter) on speaker phone. Second, my granddaughter was not allowed to come back to the prep/dressing room. No big deal although different from hospitals. Third, after I had a nerve block I was wheeled into the operating room--another table was rolled next to me and I was told to move over to that table--with one numb arm and no assistance. Fourth, I asked for my granddaughter when I woke up and was told no one is allowed in the recovery room (same surgery in the hospital my granddaughter was allowed both before and after in the recovery room.) Fifth ,after about 20 minutes in the recovery room a "male nurse" came in (obviousy in a rush) and started pulling my clothes out and trying to dress me)--I opted to do most of it myself. But no "whenever you're ready" "no hurry" etc. Then I was loaded in a wheelchair and rushed out to my granddaughter's waiting car (my numb arm fell down in the process and some staff member nearby said put it on the arm rest. I said I DID but it fell off). After being loaded into the car the "male nurse/assistant" rushed back in to retrieve my remaining (forgotten) belongings. He seemed in such a hurry! So my impression of surgery centers (at least this one) is very low. Hope I never need another surgery but if I do, it will be in a hospital.

They were magicians--my feet came out feeling better than they had in years and I will definitely be going back! I had…read moreseen Dr. Coster back in Nov which went fine and his recommendation actually improved my 1st problem. Then a 2nd problem started, I was nervous at the solution. He had to give my foot injection which last time this happened w/ dif doc I screamed like I was giving birth! He reassured me multiple times, his asst called to reassure me all was well. I came in nervous, but he talked me through it, gave me the injection and talked me off the ledge. He was great at helping me through my whack phobia of shots in the foot. I felt better almost instantly. Im so grateful I found him!!!!

I saw Dr. Coster because of plantar fasciitis symptoms. His remedy was to have foot tapings done…read moreby his office and to take 1600 mg of ibuprofen daily for three weeks. When I asked if there were other treatment options we could explore before taking all that medication he replied "not if you want to get better." He also sold me $80 shoe inserts, which the office billing person said my insurance would not pay for. When I told her my insurance did cover prescribed medical equipment at 100%, she said no it definitely would not pay for the inserts and requested the $80, which I paid. (the same inserts are on Amazon for $47.) Not wanting to heavily medicate before exploring options, I found many examples on the internet of people having cured their plantar fasciitis by rolling golf balls or frozen water bottles below their feet. Coster never mentioned this (or anything other than medication, additional foot tapings by his office and inserts sold by his office) as treatment options, but I immediately started doing it, without medicating, and within a month my plantar fasciitis was completely gone. My insurance then did immediately pay Coster's office the full amount for the inserts, so I assumed his office would issue a refund for my $80 overpayment. After three months that had not happened, so I called their billing office to inquire why I had not been refunded and if they were planning on just keeping my $80 double payment, and was told "oh I'm glad you called because we don't really have a way of knowing that this had been paid twice." ??

I will share that they take Tricare which is a plus but I came to be treated and was told to come back for another appointment for an RX instead of giving it to me when I was there.
