Went to this school for a few months in 1984, and still remember it well for the wonderful teachers and excellent learning experience.

Hands down Los Molinos is the best public school in L.A county with an API of 953 a blue ribbon…read moreschool in 2014 and now a gold ribbon school in 2016 There are 2 teachers there that go above and beyond their duties. Mrs Caryn Stafford and Ms Stephanie Urquizo treat their students as their own. Usually you would only get that kind of treatment in a highly paid private school. They are both very caring and understanding. They do what ever it takes so your child learns something everyday. Yes I know they are accredited by LAUSD but this two teachers should get their own awards. Despite Ms Urquizo was suppose to be a only substitute teacher she took this kids as if she was a permanent teacher. The current principal Mrs Mc Elroy is a very understanding principal. She addresses any issues. Very professional and polite just like MS Mary the office manager My daughter wishes her upcoming teachers through the years would be like Ms Urquizo and Mrs Stafford Bottom line you want your kids to learn and have fun and feel comfortable. Have them go to Los Molinos

i attended this high school from 1996 which was a leap year to 2000 which is another leap year so a…read moretotal of two leap years each 8 years altogether. im a firm believer weird bad things happen during leap year i.e. covid and the 2008 economic recession this is a typical public american high school which consists of four years from freshman to senior year. Classes are from monday through friday 8am-2pm (if i remember correctly) which is heaven compared to education in other countries like say asia which is a full time job imo back then classes were pretty boring not very teacher student interactive and honestly i didnt learn anything (i learned more in elementary school and junior high than high school which to me is just for show to get into college). You get 5 or 6 classes (sometimes 7 classes for those honor AP students) so youre basically running from class to class which is difficult for shy kids (ok me) to make any real substantial friends not to mention i didnt even know high school counselors were a thing (wish they advertised that its your job right to help students who need it). wish classes were more fun and interactive actually useful that you could use later in life. the american public high school education system could use an update like teach fun classes like psychology even astrology, kids are old enough to understand even relate. other than that im not complaining. i still rather attend school in america than asia where everything is a competition since day one.
