Second time here, cute and friendly coffee/record shop in downtown Palm Springs. This time I actually had coffee. The barista was very friendly and welcoming. I ordered an iced salted caramel latte. It was good and refreshing on a hot PS day. My husband who is a record collector enjoys their record selection and says their prices are very fair. This coffee shop had an incredible vibe if you're into music and coffee. As you enter this shop there's vinyl record displayed everywhere and in the back there's a DJ booth for live music. I ordered the caramel iced latte and it was ok, but if I return I'll order something else. The service was great and the barista was cool. read more

What a quaint and welcoming little space. While my wife was browsing for vinyls, I was taking in the sights (see my pics of the interior). The staff were very engaging and helpful. While there wasn't a whole lot of seating, there was ample room for us. While there wasn't a great amount of depth of inventory, there was breadth. I was looking for a coffee shop near the Palm Springs Art Museum and ended up finding this place, as it was only 2 or 3 blocks away. First things first, the interior was hip and cool, almost like I was stepping into a small vinyl store back home. The coffee was also good, better than most cafes in the area. I regretted taking the coffee to-go; there was seriously so many things to see in there, you could easily spend an hour or two just looking around. A fun coffee shop/record store to check out! We get the cheese board, which was plenty for two. I got an iced chamomile tea, and my husband has a hazelnut latte. I do wish there were more herbal tea or fruit forward tea options though. It was fun to look through all the records while we waited. They had all types of genres. The world would be a much happier place if there were thousands of Gre's in every town throughout the world, and only 1 Starbucks back in Seattle. What an amazing record shop. The coffee, vinyl and book shop is very unique and ambitious. But a welcomed surprise that it all works together. Spoke with the owner Kelly, who is professional photographer. As soon as you walk in her work is adorned throughout the shop. I believe her better half is making all the delicious coffee confections behind the counter. Together they make for a great atmosphere. The art is taken seriously. I'm sure you will find a rare vinyl here. There are several record stores in the Palm Springs area but this one is the best one. Kelly was nice enough to let me take a couple of pictures. Stopped by here on a Sunday late afternoon just before close. Inside is a mix of nick nacks and records with a cafe to the side. Wasn't hungry, so settled instead on just a Latte ($4). Well balanced, not too bitter, and served inside a sturdy/art-filled cup. Since there's not really seating inside, took to their outdoor area to finish. Seems like a really nice place to find some music or just chill and look around. Worth a visit off the main road between shops. read more

This literal hole-the-wall shop is filled with records, books, and an entire menu of caffeine filled beverages. It's conveniently located in central Palm Springs, and offers the perfect excuse to escape the heat by supporting local. I was feeling a bit exhausted after a long weekend of driving/extreme heat and ordered their cold brew to-go. This beverage packed quite a punch, and most definitely put a pep back in my step. We were hot and thirsty and just as we were talking about an iced latte, we saw their sign just fc the main drag. Both owners were very friendly and told us about an event that occurs every Thursday from 6-10, basically a street fair, that they said was part of Palm Springs culture on this main drag. I was able to get my decaf latte with coconut milk and sugar free vanilla which not every coffee shop has. They had antique books for sale and lots of vinyl. They locked the door behind us, at 3 pm, go early, well 9am! read more

They don't let you take pics because there is amazing bespoke original artwork everywhere. But as a devotee of coffee and vinyl- this is the perfect spot for me!!! What's wonderful though is the great service we received from the young man in the counter. He was extra patient with us and very hospitable. My favorite thing to do, whilst traveling, is scoping out local coffee houses! Husband & I recently visited Palm Springs for some r&r, gré made my bookmarks and I was glad that we made time to stop by this place before we headed back to LA. gré sits at the end of a hallway of small businesses, off of Palm Canyon Drive. Already, walking through and finding it at the end, begins the cool journey. As you approach it, you enter and it takes some time to absorb what's going on inside, or rather it absorbs you. There are stairs to walk down (no wheel-chair accessible ramps, fyi) and the entire entrance is lined with crates of records for sale. Art, wall-drawings, punk rock, music-history, posters, cover every single wall! I dare you to find a blank space ;-) They sell some clothing merch, pins, stickers. As you get to the lower-level where most of the records & merch are, you will see the coffee bar, staffed with a very friendly (owner perhaps?) barista! I wish I had gotten his name, he was holding multiple conversations with consumers and was quick to not just greet us, but genuinely welcome us in! Immediately felt welcomed into his space, which was really nice. This man is smooth, warm, welcoming and really down to earth and cool, straight up friendly. That earned one of the stars given. Obviously, the aforementioned, cool little scavenger hunt leading up to stairs and entering this "zone" & this shop's ambiance and vibe earned another star. I ordered a large, single-shot latte & my husband ordered a regular large latte. We waited indoors, post-verifying our vaccinated status, at the corner table. The barista would start small talk anytime he could and again it's warm and very organic and made the experience really nice and made us feel welcome & our company enjoyed. I know you're dying to know about the actual freaking lattes!! Well, I am very critical of my bean-type, espresso shot execution, milk-type, milk-pour, espresso/milk ratio and froth throughout. I have to say this is not scientifically insane latte...however, it was pretty good. Not top-notch, but also not terrible. Husband and I left happy. Ambiance, concept, barista, service and a decent latte earned this coffeehouse the four-star rating from me :-) Side note- the gender-neutral bathroom is not the cleanest!! But what do you expect at a punk rock record shop? I was just happy they had a potty and it fit its charm lol ;-) read more
