That's basically the universal sign for "good things (and strong coffee) happen here." Of course, we rolled in deep--13 people deep--and instantly took over the waiting area like a caffeine-hungry flash mob. I half expected them to panic or pretend they were suddenly "out of coffee," but nope. The cashier/barista handled it like an absolute pro--friendly, efficient, and somehow still smiling while staring down our chaotic group order. Despite us being that group, the drinks came out impressively fast. No mix-ups, no drama, just a steady flow of beautifully made coffee keeping the peace. I ordered the Spanish latte, and let me tell you--it was so good I briefly considered ordering a second before I even finished the first. Smooth, slightly sweet, and dangerously easy to drink. Honestly, if I had less self-control (and fewer social norms to follow), I would've ordered three and just set up camp. The pastries also deserve a shoutout--fresh, tempting, and basically daring you to ruin your "I'll just have coffee" plan. Since I live in the High Desert, this is my GO-TO spot for freshly packaged walnuts, assorted baking goodies, and Sourdough bread! No longer do I need to travel to Palm Springs and deal with the folks at Sprouts :) Also, if they're ever out of stock of your favorite item, just jot down your phone number, and they'll call you once restocked. Oh, yeah, they sell great Coffee as well! The staff is always ready to greet you with a smile and ask you how your day has been. Yelp desert edition: I needed good coffee on my vacation but I found GREAT coffee! The baristas are friendly and helpful. The interior is cute, cozy and tasty baked items on display. I ordered the Cloud 9 iced latte with extra shots, oatmilk. It was superb. Later i ordered an iced lavender matcha with a lavender foam top. Right when I opened the door I was greeted. I was able to order right away, I had checked the menu before getting there so I knew what I wanted. I was able to replace whip cream with cold foam on my caramel tres leches coffee. I also got two iced matchas, it was nice they let me know theirs was not sweetened but I could add sweetener if I wanted. Cute coffee shop... but also pretty sure this is the only local coffee shop (besides 1 Starbucks) so because of the limited coffee shops in this town this one is PACKED. There was a line out the door which I knew it was going to be good! Staff is great and they also have online ordering too, but when you go to pick up your coffee you have to squeeze between & through all the people in line to get your online order. Glad I stopped by this place in Desert Hot Springs. It's a small location with a spacious parking lot, and incredibly friendly service. I tried their lavender matcha which was the right green color and actually tasted of matcha without being too sweet. The owner and staff are all very kind and gracious. Walk up counter service, place your order and pay, they hand you your drinks when ready. The morning of my visit, I wanted a good coffee before starting my day and stopped in. Was kindly greeted walking in and after a few minutes of conversation placed my order. We talked a bit more and the gentleman asked if I was a veteran, which I am and he bought my coffee for me. A standard practice at this establishment. There is a cold case offering random things, some sodas and cakes, and grocery items that make little sense and don't look very tasty. Need half a pound of mejool dates with your latte? Me either. Plastic-wrapped mushy-looking cakes and $4 one-bite cake pops in wasteful plastic containers aren't tempting, either. So: the food program needs help.
