    Chicken Fried Steak

Better have an appetite when ordering the chicken fried steak cause it's humongous! It's a jaw dropping portion but it will have your jaw dropping throughout the meal because it's so good! Wish they gave more gravy cause for that portion, I would like extra gravy! But other than that everything was great! Service is always nice and if you know the casino vibes, its either a good time or bad time lol

Came here for the first time a week ago. I knew it was nearby but finally stopped in. They have multiple card games, no slots or anything. I personally don't know how to play any card games so I can't speak for the gambling aspect but the drinks and oyster shooters were fantastic! Great price too. The oysters were huge and I loved the cocktail sauce, it was perfect.I also enjoyed some chicken strips, and as I am "fancy" and like multiple dipping sauces (but I'm polite and don't ask for more) it was nice that they automatically gave me two with the meal. The people next to me got some chow mein and other Chinese food which looked amazing. Overall good experience and I will be back. Maybe I can learn to play a game sometime.

I was led here exclusively for the Food. To start off with: it was a Long time before I was given a menu. A Long time before anybody asked A Long time before I received my food An awfully long time before I got a box for the food And a terribly long time before I got the check. I expected to be Finished by the time I was asked what I'd like off of the menu. Don't get me wrong, this is a casino/bar, not a legitimate restaurant, I guess they Expect you to take your time and stick around. If that's what you're going for, that's great Because: The food was GREAT. To die for. I was delighted. If it didn't take so long to get the food I'd be here weekly.

Great service and normally the food is on point. But honestly yes I will come back. I won't fault them for a day. My gf ordered street tacos that had BBQ sauce on them and were very dry. We also ordered some clam chowder that tasted like flour. Foot long chili dog. It was cooked a little too much but it wasn't bad. Today's lunch won't stop me from coming back. This is a great place to eat. Oh and the Bloody Mary was excellent

This place looks pretty sketch from the outside, but the drink specials are pretty awesome! We came here one snowy night for happy hour because we've heard about it from a few friends. This place really didn't let us down. They have decent specials (breakfast, hh, drinks, etc.) and a cool little sports lounge. The entire casino is decked out in iconic American landmarks which brings an interesting ambiance to the place. The few times I've been here, the bar wasn't busy at all. There is ample seating and lots of TVs. The food is not too shabby for bar food. All in all, it's a nice place to just have a low-key, cheap night with some buddies.

Ohhh, they got breakfast ALL day for $4.99! I came here for Happy Hour because i heard they had clams for ONLY $5! The clams were delicious and so was the popcorn shrimps. I really like how small they were & not full of batter. Great selection to chose from and of course a great selection of HH mixed drinks and beer. I'll definitely come back because i noticed they have an excellent breakfast deal ALL day everyday for $4.99, which i would love to try. It's worth coming back to eat some steak & eggs at that price.

This review is for GameDay Sundays. I think it makes it worse that the Seahawks are in the playoffs. GO HAWKS! Service sucks here on gamedays. If you get a table, expect a long wait to order anything. Drinks, food... anything. Our group consisted of 3 tables and about 25-30 people. And guess what? They had ONE waitress. WTF?!? Where's the logistic in that? It just doesn't make sense to me. You know it's going to be busy.... prepare your staff. I'm just saying. Maybe I'm just HANGRY & being grumpy but you'd be frustrated too.

The happy hour tater tots. This would be better with more seasoning, and green onion that wasn't sitting our for 10 days.

They were three breaded rounds with honey drizzled on top. They were taken to go. I ordered the mango mule, but I didn't taste any mango. The lemon drop and the mojitos looked good. I also ordered the chefs Mac and cheese and their lodge donuts. I feel like the chipotle overpowered the Mac and cheese, but I did enjoy the corkscrew noodles. My favorite part of the whole meal was the fresh and warm mini lodge donuts. It came on an adorable deer. Accompanied with chocolate sauce, raspberry sauce and whip cream.

This review is only for their wings - I haven't tried any other food / deals they offer…read more I come at least once every two months on a Thursday for their $1.25 / wings! The wings are very meaty, and plump - nothing like Wingstop. It's ruined almost every wing restaurant / chain for me. They require a minimum of 8 wings per flavor, so if you come with a big group you can mix and match flavors easily. My top two flavors: hot (buffalo) and the dry rub lemon pepper. Service is alright. You seat your self (if there is a table open). On busy days, you just fight for a table. I wish they implemented some form of queue or paper on which party is next. Tables just get wiped down with a rag. But the price / quality for the wings makes me come back every time.

I've been throwing darts at Cactus Moon for about four years, and I even have a plaque on the wall,…read moreso I've spent enough time here to qualify as part of the furniture. During dart season, I was here at least twice a week. However, after moving about half a mile away in December 2025, I started coming even more, sometimes three or four times a week, usually Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and the occasional Saturday. I genuinely considered myself a regular. Unfortunately, there's one small problem: apparently I'm a regular who has achieved invisibility. Unless Jackie B is working, getting the attention of the bar staff can sometimes feel like trying to communicate with a satellite. Jackie B has always been the highlight for me, she actually sees the customers, takes care of people, and somehow manages to notice that humans are sitting down in the dart area. Every time Jackie B is working, the experience is noticeably better. The service in the dart area can otherwise be extremely hit-or-miss, particularly during the day. If you're shooting darts, you may want to bring a flare gun, smoke signal, or possibly a small flag. There seems to be a mysterious service blind spot, especially around the first few tables near the smoking area. But honestly, the biggest disappointment for me has been the removal of the Medalist dart boards. When Cactus Moon got rid of them, it didn't just mean losing a couple of dart boards. It left several of us regular dart players without a home bar with no explanation from anybody at Cactus Moon. And unfortunately, many of my Medalist dart partners simply stopped coming to Cactus Moon altogether. We had a group, a routine, and a place where we played. Suddenly, we didn't. It was honestly embarrassing to be left scrambling for somewhere else to play after years of treating Cactus Moon as our home. For a group of regular customers who had invested that much time and money into the bar, it felt like being politely evicted from your own clubhouse. And that's the frustrating part: Cactus Moon used to be my favorite bar. I even chose my apartment partly because I was so close to it. There are still plenty of things I like about the place. The food is genuinely good. The Wednesday and Thursday half-price burgers are a great deal, and the Thursday night wing specials are worth showing up for. And the Friday-night prime rib is really darn good. If you come here hungry, order something--I've had consistently good food. Then there's today, 8/30/26. I came in for breakfast and darts, fully prepared to spend some money at a place I've supported for years. After 94 minutes and two drinks, I finally gave up on breakfast and went somewhere else to eat. It was nearly 30 minutes between receiving my second drink and finally asking for my tab so I could take my business elsewhere. I understand that bars get busy, staffing can be difficult, and sometimes service falls through the cracks. Today was not one of those days. When you're coming in three or four times a week, tipping well, and spending a lot of time there, repeatedly feeling invisible gets old. At this point, I'm pretty sure I've reached a level of invisibility normally reserved for ghosts. The irony is that I'll probably still be back. It's the only dart bar around, and I'll likely show up for the Friday dart tournament in the near future. I just may be bringing my wallet along strictly for moral support. Cactus Moon, I really do want to like you again. Please find your dart players, and maybe find me while you're at it.

Especially that one dude... I have a friend, well not really a friend, more like an acquaintance. This guy is always in some sort of trouble, never has a drivers license but is always driving a beater anyway. The kind of dude that will bend over backwards to help you out but you're kind of worried he's also casing the joint while he's helping. Anyways, this guy asked me if I'd help him get some stuff out of his storage unit. He's behind on payments and doesn't want it auctioned off. "Bring your truck and we'll be done in a jiffy" ( this is back when I had a truck so probably early 2000s ) I swing over to the dive he's living in to pick him up. He's talking my ear off about some ridiculous Jerry Springer show type behavior and the sudden realization hits me... am I assisting in some sort of criminal offense? Are we on our way to rob a storage unit? I'm honestly scared, my heart is racing, I'm calculating my exit strategy if this looks to sketchy. Trying to keep my cool, I start tiptoeing around what he's going to do with the stuff we're saving from auction. He claims he has a better spot at "his old lady's moms place" I can't make this shit up! As we pull into the storage place I noticed all the cameras, oh man, I'm about to be on the worlds dumbest criminals. The dude tells me the code for the gate, from memory, okay I am feeling slightly better. We drive down the main aisle, take a left, and halfway down this row is his door. Well the door that opens the hall that has about 6 doors in it. The first key doesn't work. Beads of sweat form on my temples. The second key he tries doesn't even fit the padlock. Christ almighty I'm stressed. He pops in the third key, click. The lock opens. He reaches into his back pocket and grabs a small flashlight. He opens up the door and shines the light around the closet, relief floods my body. There's absolutely no way this shit belongs to anybody else but the guy I'm with! We cleared what he felt was important and didn't bother to lock up the rest. So like I was saying, everyone was feeling good, especially that dude in the corner that totally reminded me of my derelict buddy. The nerves were calmed and I recorded a great episode of the GoodTalkJosh podcast!

In long I went in search of a spot to have dinner on a Wednesday night, and I was kinda shocked to see how packed some places were. Then the radio said the US men were in the middle of a World Cup game, and I realized the slammed parking lots in town were full of newly-minted soccer fans. Okay, cool. Peabo's seems to have space available. At least when I got there, anyway. The game was on a couple dozen flat screens, though only one person knew who we were playing. It started filling up for Open Mic Night, and pretty soon it was half full on a Wednesday evening. The people could all sing and play, too! Pretty cool for Open Mic. The bartender was SUPER nice to everybody, almost a Maya Rudolph vibe in both look and personality. Instantly one of my favorite front of house people around. The "Deluxe" cheese burger with bacon was kind of a perfect home-cooked version, with supermarket veg and bun around a medium-thick patty. Big crunchy rings, cooked just right, though a little less batter would bring them into balance better. Good flavor, though, from both batter and onion. The beers are on point--clean lines, and a few true craft options mixed in with the big industrial choices. Everything comes out in a shaker glass, which is to be expected. The Bodhi is always good. There are big tables, sturdy chairs, pool tables, darts, pull tabs, a decent collection of Seahawks memorabilia on the walls. Probably gets pretty packed for Hawks games. I could easily see this being a regular casual hangout if I lived a little closer. Evidently it has been thriving for at least a couple decades, and that's not nothing up here.

It's just the right vibe, the drinks are strong, and the bartenders are attentive and nice. My grandma also likes this bar and she doesn't drink but she likes to go here for her birthday which typically happens to be on Super Bowl Sunday. They never complain about her coming in early to "set up" a table and they never make her feel weird which I really appreciate because I mean she brings like board games and stuff to a bar and doesn't drink so it is a bit odd but glad the staff make her feel welcome. Even on Super Bowl Sunday, the staff checks on us like every 10 minutes, no matter how busy it is. They don't pressure you to get a drink or food but they do offer which is also something I very much appreciate. Aside from all of this, I once had someone tell me this place has the best clam chowder and I was thinking "......? Ew?? Clam chowder from a bar??" Well I still have never tried the chowder, but I can tell you the Ruben is fire and you should definitely get one. I like mine dipped in au jus. They've got a nice dart set up, lots of seating, pool tables, and a very large bathroom (good mirror to take pictures in the ladies room) Definitely don't pass this place up if you're looking for a good sandwich, nice bartenders, chill vibes, and good drinks. I would recommend coming around like 9 or 10 because parking can fill up, but typically you can still find a spot to squeeze into even if you get there later. When asked for the 3rd time for our drink order I repeated what do you offer she replied everything. So I ordered a beer I wanted and she said they did not have it...so not everything. Her response to that was for me to get up and go to the bar myself to look at what they had. As for food we ended up just ordering what our table mates ordered since they knew the bar from years back. She dropped the food off with bo words and then proceeded to ignore us the rest of the night. No refills on water or sodas or checking on us. She went to every table around us; even sat down and hung out quite some time with a table of her friends. We tried to get her attention but she would look the other way.
