I feel truly grateful and blessed to have found such an exceptional school as Great Beginnings of Dacula. Two years ago, my oldest daughter attended Pre-K with Ms. Cindy and Ms. Mercedes. To this day, my daughter still says that they were the best teachers she ever had. Ms. Cindy and Ms. Mercedes are teachers who are deeply dedicated to the educational development of children and, above all, they are incredibly loving. This is by far the best school I could have enrolled my kids in. Coming from another daycare nearby that left me traumatized--where my child ended up needing 10 stitches in his finger, the staff didn't meet his needs, and my kids were sick nearly every week--I can truly say Great Beginnings has been a blessing. From the moment we joined, I noticed an immediate change in my youngest. He started in the toddler room and absolutely loves it--he literally jumps out of my arms in the mornings to go to his teachers. They do emotional exercises to help the kids learn and express their feelings, and the communication with parents is amazing. They use ProCare to share updates and photos throughout the day, which I really appreciate. The staff puts so much effort into what they do, and the organization is incredible. Enrollment was easy--I scheduled a tour online, called, and met with Genie, who was so warm and welcoming. I love Genie! The teachers and staff are consistent, so my kids see the same familiar, caring faces every day and are able to build real bonds. Overall, Great Beginnings of Dacula is the best school you can enroll your child in. They truly care, they are consistent, and they won't let you down. read more

I was blessed to have to opportunity to have my children attend this school: my son for Pre-K and both my son and my daughter for before and after care. To date this is the best form of any child care they have attended. The facility is clean, the staff is friendly, polite, respectful of one another and communicative. My children love going there. My Pre-K child had the absolute pleasure of being in Ms. Patience class and she is the best. Listen, if you were to meet her the patience she do possess and exemplify when dealing with your children would have you asking if that's really her name or just what they call her because of how patient she is - - I sure did ask. You can truly tell that teaching is not a just a job for her but her passion. She loves the kids. She has the perfect assistant by her side Ms. Elaine, they work so well together. My son had a hard time adjusting to the structured routines due to the fact that other facilities he attended in the past lacked that but she worked and worked and worked with him and never gave up on him. As young as he is she can see my son's ability to become a great engineer one day and I think it's amazing when we have teachers that can speak life into our kids. Did I mention when he came into her class he was at grade/class level (learning to recognize letters and numbers) but 2 weeks later to be exact he was spelling and writing his first name and shortly after his last name also? My son has become so much more confident in his creative skills and knows his imagination is his only limitation. Her teaching style is very interactive that my son has learned some lessons that he repeats on a regular basis that has everyone asking me where did he learn that, i.e. three different type of rocks and how they are formed; many different types of apples; lava vs. magma, etc. Her assistant Ms. Elaine is also consistent in keeping Kingdom on track and on the path they have developed for him together during after care. I know my baby genius must grow up and move on to Elementary but I can only pray that he gets a teacher half as awesome as Ms. Patience and her assistant Ms. Elaine. read more

My children have been enrolled in this daycare since they were infants! We do not have a problem with the staff. However, it has not been the cleanest lately. All the rooms need a major deep clean!! The carpets and floors in all rooms are very disgusting. I can only imagine how the bathrooms are that the kids use. I really hope the facility hires someone to deep clean the carpets if they are not willing to replace. read more

Great Beginnings was awesome for years. Then ownership changed and now I get random charges weekly. They won't give me a fee schedule or explain what or why the random charge is for. We used to pay at the beginning of the month. Now it comes out whenever whoever feels like it. read more

Worst school for parental interaction. Owners don't like conflict resolution and the staff is inept. Additionally they always complain about their low pay and their need to find another job. I thought this school was great because of its convenient location but besides that they are notorious for not creating incident reports. Please find another school for your little one. My children have been going here for 5 years, and we've consistently had a great experience. The staff is friendly and consistent (i.e. not a huge turnover in staff, which I think speaks volumes.) My kids are always excited to go there, especially during the summers. Their summer camp programs keep the kids active and entertained, and allow them to go on several field trips each week. They also have a pool and water play area, which is a huge bonus. The facility is always clean and well maintained. The kids love the food that is served there! All in all, I've felt that my kids were in great hands and truly never had a bad experience. I highly recommend them! read more

Great Beginnings is AMAZING! We seriously moved to the area to have access to them in the event that our children ever needed childcare. We toured daycares all over Gwinnett County and this is the only daycare I would trust with my children. Everyone knows every child's name, the owners are hands on and make it aware that this daycare is not just a business but it is their baby and they take pride in it. They put money into it on an on-going basis and the children have all the luxuries of a daycare that any child would dream of! My older children have attended their summer camp in the past and loved it. I recommend this daycare to everyone I know! read more

I am surprised by the negative review. My son has been attending for 2+ years on and off. I've never had a bad experience rather the opposite. The owner is always available to discuss any concerns and welcomes parents to discuss issues with teachers. The school is very clean and the staff is great! read more

Great Beginnings is run by a fabulous husband and wife team that really know how to keep the kids and parents happy! My kids started out in the infant room and graduated from pre-k here. I never worried about leaving them here, and they were always excited to go - any problems we had were taken care of right away by Lloyd and Cindy.
