I had the best time celebrating my birthday here! Eli, Britney, and Cooper are the ABSOLUTE BEST! We played on a Thursday night (4/30/26) and were immediately greeted with smiles, pleasantries, and instructions on checking in. I had notified them when booking that we were celebrating my birthday, and they put up a happy birthday background on the screen. Eli even took pictures of us pre-show in the game room. I was extremely touched by Eli and Britney's kindness and their above-and-beyond gestures! Britney presented me with a handwritten birthday card after the game show, and Eli gifted me with a t-shirt I was going to buy after the show. I hope they both know how special they made me feel; it truly warms my heart to have experienced their thoughtfulness, generosity, and kindness! I am FOREVER GRATEFUL and APPRECIATE ALL THAT THEY'VE DONE!! Now for the details: The game is an hour long, and if someone else books the same time slot, you may end up playing with random strangers, which we did. We definitely got our butts handed to us, but I still had fun! It consists of about 5-7 different randomized games. It's blue vs. red team, and the setup is in the style of a traditional TV game show, ranging from Jeopardy-style format to Wheel of Fortune, trivia, Family Feud, and Idiotest, etc. You really do feel like you're on a TV game show with a live host, buzzers, a big wheel to spin, and confetti exploding at the end! They do have some physical games; however, we had to forego those to be fair to the other team, which had a teammate on crutches. Britney was a lot of fun--super patient and considerate! I got a kick out of having to fill out the scantron with a big a#$ pencil. Make sure to arrive 15 minutes prior to your time slot. They have plenty of free games to play while you wait, and they have a bar to purchase beverages or you can ask for tap water. The Escape Game is also located in the building, and they have merchandise for sale, as well as merch for the Great Big Game Show. They have really cool shirts and hats available! At the end of the show, they offer 15 or 20% off your next booking. I'm not sure if there's an expiration date, but I hope not because I would love to come back. However, we live in VA Beach, so it's quite a drive. They do have restrooms. Parking is available in various parking garages among Georgetown. We paid to park in the lot next to RIMTANG which is really close. read more

Our first experience with The Game Show Experience in Georgetown, DC was extremely disappointing. Our group purchased tickets on April 5, 2026, and received a confirmation email, so we were excited and looking forward to the event. Unfortunately, when we arrived on Saturday, we were informed by Manager Brittany Shires that our group would not be able to participate because the venue had been double-booked due to an internal oversight. What was most frustrating was that no one contacted us before our arrival. Had we been notified in advance, we could have adjusted our plans and avoided unnecessary travel and inconvenience. Instead, we learned of the issue only after arriving at the venue. To Brittany's credit, she was professional and apologetic, refunds were issued, and she provided vouchers to Pinstripes as an alternative. However, when we arrived at the Pinstripes location in Georgetown, we were told we were at the wrong location, adding yet another layer of frustration to an already disappointing situation. Our group traveled from Washington, DC, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. My husband and I drove approximately seven hours from South Carolina specifically for this event. After investing that amount of time and travel, it was overwhelming to arrive and learn that our confirmed reservation could not be honored. While we appreciated receiving a refund, it did not make up for the lost time, travel expenses, and disappointment experienced by our entire group. While mistakes happen, better communication and proactive customer service could have prevented much of this frustration. Unfortunately, what should have been a fun and memorable group outing ended up being a wasted day and a very disappointing first impression. read more

I saw this on Instagram and got my family to join in, making a group of seven. The game accommodates up to 14 players total. It's best to have either a full team of seven or fill the entire room with 14 players. My family is very competitive, so we were excited to jump in. The lobby area is spacious and fun. If you arrive early, there are plenty of places to sit, play board games, and even grab a drink. The small bar area is really cute, with a decent selection of beverages--and, surprisingly, the prices aren't outrageous. I was shocked to find a $5 beer in Georgetown! After signing our waivers, we hung out for a bit until our entire group and the opposing team arrived. Once everyone was ready, we were ushered into a small room. Our team of seven took the Red side, while the Blue team consisted of a small family, a couple, and a solo player. Our game show host, Dream, was fantastic! She was incredibly engaging, genuinely felt like a real game show host, and made the experience even more fun. The event was also very accommodating for kids, which was great since my niece and nephew (ages 5 and 8) joined us. The adults paired up with them to make the games more manageable. I won't spoil the specifics, but the games were all fun, engaging, and doable for all ages--think trivia, timing challenges, a shooting game, and a big wheel spin. So much fun! I wanted to do something different for my birthday, and this turned out to be the perfect activity! Check in was super easy, and we were able to get some drinks at the bar (beer, wine, prosecco). Once we went in to start the games, I didn't really know what to expect, but our host took us through everything step by step. We did the original, which included a bunch of different mini games from trivia, to spin the wheel, to a waiting/counting game. There was really something for everyone! I loved the celebration for the winning team at the end, and our host took some photos for us before we left. We also got sent a highlight reel from different moments throughout our gameshow. Unfortunately, the customer service is truly lacking here. I don't mind leaving an honest review, especially since the business likely will not care given how they treat customers. My family's reservation was accepted weeks ago. The day of the reservation, we discovered the venue double booked the slot we had. The most inconvenient part was that we had to physically show up, ready to play in order to find this out. None of us live in the city, so majority had to commute 45mins or more to get here in order to be disappointed and turned away. No one thought to call ahead or even email. The staff onsite showed zero accountability or concern. They simply wanted us to either come back much later in the day (a Sunday) or return the following weekend. There was no consideration to how a large group has to coordinate schedules and timelines. After constantly speaking up, professionally of course, we finally got one staff member to reluctantly agree to a full refund and 20% discount on a future purchase. But the experience left a bad taste in my mouth. So it is likely best to spend my money elsewhere. It's clearly not wanted here. And the cherry on top, we all got a text message later in the evening asking us to leave a review and a link to review another family's experience. Can't make this up. Super disappointing. read more

We all were so amped up we had a great host and he had great energy even with our rowdy group ! There is a bar on site and some games you can play as you wait.
