Elegant occasions, NOT so elegant…read more This is so sad because this is my only bad review from ALL of my wedding vendors. Let's start off with my initial meeting with the owner Wayne (and Bryan)... I should have ran far far away after the bullshit this company put me through. First off, I was a bride who wanted a tent for my outdoor wedding on a golf course. I asked about a sailcloth tent and realized it was way out of my budget when I saw the price... (happens a lot to brides). So I was ready to explore the next option with them which was a clear top A-Frame tent. I was absolutely scolded for changing my mind to explore a more affordable option, to the point that I left the office and cried in my car. My fiancé straight up said he was an absolute dick. Red flag from day 1, not a great start. Anyways, the venue we were working with knew this company personally and still recommended me to use them. I went to Tents and Events and got a way better price from them and better customer service, but elegant occasions finally agreed to match their price. I was talked into going with elegant, and it only got worse from that moment. We hired them for a 50 by 90 clear tent, dance floor with a subfloor, DJ and sound system, and for the poles to be covered with a swagged fabric. We ended up paying this company 13,000. Yes, 13 THOUSAND DOLLARS. So they did not keep any communication from the second we paid them, until the final walkthrough meeting. Imagine that for a bride to deal with. WAYNE and BRYAN were supposed to be at the final walk though meeting, I mean they've only known since 11 months ago that we booked them. The final meeting was supposed to tie up all of our loose ends and answer any questions, and also decide on the placement of the tent. Guess who didn't show up and sent two "assistants". You guessed it, WAYNE AND BRYAN. The two MOST important people that should have been there. Now, if you're going to send an assistant with knowledge, cool. But EVERY SINGLE QUESTION WE ASKED, THEY HAD NOT EVEN ONE ANSWER. They didn't even have the contract in hand, they were holding a proposal email that had all the inaccurate information. Everything we asked, they said "we don't know we will have to ask Wayne and Bryan". I finally had a meltdown 3 days before the wedding because of this unprofessional company with an absolute jerk as an owner. I expressed to Bryan my feelings the day after, and he told me Wayne was going to give me a call. I never got a call, of course. Even Tents and Events called me to ask if I needed anything. How pathetic. I told Tents and Events that I regretted not hiring them, and they laughed when they heard Elegant Occasions. Clearly this has happened before. Sooo in the end, Wayne decided to put some dirty, broken, uneven dance floor. My entire wedding was beautiful (thanks to the venue and wedding planner) but the dance floor was just absolutely horrendous. It was installed the day before and I asked for it to be fixed. He told me it was another 1500 dollars to fix. He also got some cheap ass wrinkly fabric to cover the poles of the tent with. When I said to him that I paid an extra $1000 for them to be SWAGGED, he didn't care and then threatened to take them down. My dance floor was LAUGHABLE as well as a serious tripping hazard. It fell apart by the end of the night. I do NOT recommend this company for ANYTHING. My wedding planner had to harass them as well and she said she will never recommend them to a bride EVER.

All of my favorite characters were displayed in their iconic outfits from the show. Remember when Sybil dared to wear pants? There is also Mary Crawley's wedding dress and the Earl and Countess of Grantham. Lady Edith Crawley even had her typewriter included in her display and Tom Branson posed with his car. The Dowager Countess of Grantham, Violet was covered in a purple cascade of flowers while Mrs. Patmore posed with her spoon. Anna Bates was in her black and white maid's uniform. Every detail is perfection down to the accessories. Entrances to select stores are wreathed in more flowers. The mall also hosts additional special events. I took you to several places for you to view because you were very particular about what you wanted. The entire 10 months your budget was $800-$1000. A week and a half before the party you changed the theme from a Hawaiian soirée, to a fall theme after everything had already been planned for that specific theme. I immediately altered everything I had been working on to make you happy. So yes 10 months got crammed into two weeks because you decided to change your theme. Not only that you changed your budget. You gave me a $200 deposit and when it was time to make your final payment you gave me a sad story about how you didn't have the money. For 10 months I planned everything With $200. I even came out of my pocket for things, and then you tell me you can only afford to give me $400. So a 50th birthday party for 80 guests with a $600 budget. 2. You still had floral centerpieces your requested, the venue came with chiavari chairs. I provided water glasses, plates (think plastic as per your request), forks, knives and spoons for 100 people, not 80. All of this with a $600 budget. 3. How could I set up the hall in a rush fashion? Everything was done except the placing of the centerpieces, water glasses and napkins. ‍‍ 4. I ate a big plate of what? Your food wasn't even done yet. The caterer arrived late and had only sat out fruit and cheese. Are you serious? So we ate full plates of fruit and cheese? 5. How did I quote you a higher price for the venues when you went to them along with me? Or you forgot that too? We visited several venues in one day. Each of them providing you with their prices and deposit information. Then I treated you to lunch at Olive Garden. I never quoted you any prices because we visited them together. 6. I never stay to clients' events, I set them up and leave and return after. You knew this. I came back and cleaned up the venue to make sure oh received your deposit back even after you were so rude to me. 7. Your personal picture was replaced after the party but you refused to take it. All I did was trim the sides of it because you called the photographer (who I set up your photo shoot with) and changed the size of it without telling me. I purchased the frame for the size we agree on. I didn't receive the picture from you until the day of so I made it happen. 8. I separated personal from business because you were very interested in becoming my friend. Our meetings would turn into long chats because we would discuss more than your event. I had to listen to you go on and on about everyone in your life that has wronged you and who was invited to this event. Point of the matter is.....you are a liar and you owe me. $600 for 80 guests. Venue search, decorations, set up photo shoot, numerous of times of me driving to your home because maybe you were lonely. I was never rude to you. I didn't even ask you to pay me for what I had already spent after you cut your budget by $400. I still did your event because I felt sorry for you considering the excuse you gave me. Play with somebody else.
