The food was horrible. The chicken smells like black licorice the egg rolls are mushy the bourbon. Chicken had no bourbon not to mention. They are now out children. If you are over 5 feet you pay an adult price which is ridiculous. This is not an amusement park !! it's a food establishment so because my eight-year-old is tall she has to pay an adult price . The waitress are like a bullies because she didn't get a tip, but she didn't do any work. We will not be returning.

I really don't know how I feel about this place. I want to say that the lunch buffet is $12.99. I paid for 2 with water and it was $27 and change. They didn't have any sushi out, which Is something I look for in all china buffets. The labels on the dishes were kind of warn, so you didn't know what was what. Just had to think what they could be. We were seated promptly. The restrooms were clean except for tissue overflowing the trash cans. Who wipes there booty and throws it in the trash when the commode is right there. Haha. The food that I did get was pretty good except for the crawfish. They didn't have any flavor. I had some kind of spicy chicken, rice, egg rolls, whole shrimp, swai fish and the pizza. I want to bring the family but the wow factor just wasn't there! I may just stick to the Sakura in McDonough. I will give it a go one more time just to confirm how I feel but not sure! Ps.... I did see a lot of people get plate fulls of the orange slices. I don't know why but they did. Maybe they really liked them.

Great chow is a pretty solid Chinese buffet spot. The prices were fair too. Saturday prices were around 16 per person. They got your typical varieties, chicken wings, seafoody stuff (imitation crab casseroles, craw fish, fried crabs, steamed mussels, and etc). There was a decent amount of people dining for around lunch, but not too crowded so gives you a chance to grab something hot and fresh right from the kitchen. There's a nice lil hibachi area in the back that will make your stir fry dish on the spot. For what it is, I think it's solid. I was clean. There were a good amount of workers and each were pretty on point with tending to their tables. The food quality was good too.

My recent dining experience at GreatChow was nothing short of a nightmare. From the outset, the manager/owner displayed shocking levels of rudeness by inquiring about the ages of my children upon arrival. After disclosing that my children were 12, 10, and 8 years old, the manager proceeded to drop a bombshell: my 10-year-old daughter would be charged as an adult due to her height. This preposterous assertion left both my family and our waitress dumbfounded. Believing it to be a tasteless joke, we continued with our meal, only to be met with harsh reality when the bill arrived. Despite our protests and pleas for reason, the manager remained obstinate, callously dismissing our concerns and instructing the waitress to leave us to deal with it. As if that weren't humiliating enough, my daughter was reduced to tears by this unjust treatment. I am utterly appalled by the behavior of the management at GreatChow. Their discriminatory pricing policies and complete lack of empathy have left a stain on what should have been a pleasant family outing. I've attached the receipt as evidence of this shameful ordeal. Save yourself the embarrassment and avoid this establishment at all costs. When I finally check other reviews, it seems like the everyone is complaining about the same manager, he has no manners and any type of customer service.

I am not a delicate princess. I will eat hot dogs and chicken nuggets and all other monstrosities of mechanically separated, processed, and reconstituted animal carcasses, and what's more is I usually love it. But when you call something meat and I agree to eat it then we have entered into an unspoken social contract. Your end of that bargain is to do everything you can to prevent me from discovering your blatant lie, and my part is to not be too nosy or curious about the truth. Well, Great Chow Buffet & Grill on Mount Zion Road in Morrow Georgia , from the moment my Unnamed Beef Thing split apart revealing itself to be a very hastily and very briefly heated union of two globs of undifferentiated pink spray foam, you had failed your end of the bargain and now I must post this unkind review. Had you bothered to stir fry the pieces with enough care to keep them from lightly clinging together, and had you heated them at enough degrees that anything more than just the outermost layer of the pieces had barely browned, then I wouldn't have discovered your ruse. But you didn't, so I did, and here we are. How disappointing.

Nice place, food is perfect. I recommend you guy try the coffee cake and banana pudding. Staff is friendly

The buffet had many options, some cold, some didn't seemed cooked correctly. The hibachi was okay, but I didn't expect much. People like it, but it isn't for me. It has a nice look inside but the hibachi made me a little squeamish on the item choices. read more

The advertising close at 10:30 pm but I called at 9:40 and was told we are already closed and they turned the lights off on the restaurant. HORRIBLE experience after driving down here just to come here. read more

Enjoyed the food. The food was warm and well seasoned. They for the most part kept the trays of food filled. My family took our time eating. We didn't feel rushed or watched. We were able to socialize and request the check when we were ready to leave. The price was also reasonable. read more

I've heard great things about this place and went today for Mother's Day and was highly impressed! They are doing it right! HUGE dining area so there was no wait even though the place was packed! We never had to wait for drink refills and everyone was super friendly. And if they are out of something on the one of the MANY hot buffet bars, they refill within 2 minutes! They have habachi which I love! And fresh sushi! They even have people making the sushi right there in front of you. They have crab legs, shrimp, beef, chicken, Mac and cheese, whatever you want! Lots of great soups and lots of selections for salads. And the desserts are awesome! Cakes, pies, jello, pudding, fruit, ice cream and even ice cream bars and sandwiches! Y'all, they have strawberry shortcake popsicles! What more could you ask for! 5 stars!!!! read more

Yallllll if you reading this, this place is the BOMB! It's very clean, and the service was great (Atleast my server was awesome) my drinks stayed filled! & the prices are great! Unfortunately my Great Chow experience wasn't great. My food was cold by the time I sat down to eat. There was this weird smell that threw my appetite off and after just going to the buffet once I was asking for the check to leave. Heh, a cool spot if you have a larger family and wanna feed them fast, plenty of different food choices...this spot is just not for me ‍ read more

We r just passing through on our way up north, and because this restaurant got great reviews we decided to stop. I was very impressed with this buffet. I have been to quiet a few buffet and they have never been this big or this good. The food was fresh and had a big selection. I have never seen a selection of desserts or ice creams at a buffet quiet like this one. I would highly recommend this restaurant. read more

Sooo I've had my fair share of buffets including the buffet that was here before great chow arrived. Took Hubby and Mom to dinner on a Wed night around 6:30pm. Food was ok. I was not impressed by the sesame chicken, General Tso chicken bourbon chicken, or any chicken in that same area. I did like that they had the hibachi and noodle area where of course you pick your ingredients and they cook it for you with the sauce/broth you prefer. Another observation was that they continued to bring out fresh food often. My favorites for the night was the cream cheese wonton, sautéed string beans, fried crab, and the coconut shrimp. Wanted to give my baby some fruit but the fruits didn't seem of great quality. I believe our dinner was $11.99/pp. Service was pretty darn good I must say. The guy was smiling, pleasant, and we didn't have dirty dishes sitting for long. 3 stars bc I came on the weekday and based on the food it was doable if you are too lazy to cook and want some fair dishes to eat. Would I return? Yes if I really craved the food and too tired to cook!! read more

This has nothing to do with the performance of the restaurant or the employees, but more to do with SOME customers. When the crab comes out you can not even get any and there are kids taking all the crab, along with some adults pushing the kids out the way to do the same. The most disgusting thing I saw was customers grabbing food with their bare hands, how nasty. I can't believe that people are really that sick to grab things with their bare hands and think it's ok, this is actions that ANIMALS do, not humans. They might as well take some silverware up to the buffet and just start eating there, no difference. Have some respect for yourself and others ! read more

This was a nice Buffet and the food was delicious. The only problem I had was the restrooms and the dishes. No one cleaned the restrooms and the dishes still had some specs of food on them. The environment was nice and customer service was okay. I would definitely go back, but hopefully this time they pay attention to the restrooms and dishes. read more

Not a bit fan of Chinese Buffets but this one really surprised me! As a vegetarian it's hard to find a place where my meat eater friends can order their food of preference while I enjoy a meatless dish.This place was a good mid point! They have a hibachi bar where I had fried veggies and rice. They also had a veggie sushi in their sushi bar. Fruit was fresh and sweet! Overall a clean restaurant and staff was constantly cleaning tables and helping where needed. Bathrooms where also clean!! (Many Chinese buffets are pretty bad at this). They have a variety of ice cream bars but truly missed the option to have a good ol' ice cream scoop. read more

Super clean and inviting. Standard Asian buffet. Sushi Bar was great . They also have a noodle bar which I've never seen in this type of establishment. My only problem is the hot food lacks seasoning which in my opinion is highly important when cooking. I would come at lunch only for the sushi. Iam waiting to see if they honor my Yelp check in 10% discount. And they did!!! read more

I give this place a 5 star rating, they have an amazing assortment and also have a great hibachi section. One thing different that I don't see at many Chinese buffets is that they had wings, and I loved it! The wings were perfect also they have a desert section and also bakery deserts section which was just the cherry to the sundae, my overall top 3 most favorite buffets I've ever eaten at. In summary , I would recommend this place for anyone with a big or small appetite! read more

A coworker recommended this place, and everything he said was spot on. I was talking about a few places in Duluth we usually go to visit after shopping at Great Wall. I have to say that Great Chow made it worth a shorter drive. I tried a little bit of everything yesterday, and I was happy with the overall package. Service was good, not much of a wait, food was hot but not over cooked, and the price was very reasonable. The only downer was the soups. I had the hot sour, and my wife had oxtail. Neither was good, but everything else was very good! We will be going back! read more

The ambiance of the restaurant was very nice with the lighting & crystal chandeliers. I was very impressed with the selection of the food available. The food was fresh, piping hot and they kept restocking the food as soon as it was finished. My family enjoyed the food and you cant beat the price for dinner buffet at $10.99. I cant speak on the Sushi Bar or Hibachi since we stuck with the hot buffet. They have different prices for kids depending on their age. My daughter loved the fact that they had an ice cream freezer where she could choose her own ice cream/popsicle. The staff was friendly and we didn't have too long of a wait being that it was a Sunday evening. We will definitely be coming back again. read more

Thank God that I check and saved my receipt. I know that it was only $3 but this was not right for them to do that. I hope that they don't do this to all their customers. Make sure that you check your bank transactions and keep your receipt.

I didn't dare eat the chicken when it was clear that it had been sitting there for a while at room temperature, will be shocked if I'm not sick tomorrow. Same with the cobbler. I tried the rolls and garlic bread - both so hard as to be completely unpalatable. Salad bar was probably the best part, but everything there was very low quality as well. Beyond that, the food is all very underseasoned and bland. And how do you make cheesecake bland? I mean, how is that possible? All the server had to do was give my a seat, some water and clean utensils, and I did get a seat - but the knife had a big blob of something green stuck to it. They brought me a new glass of water when the first when dry, but it had a funny/bitter flavor that wasn't there in the first one. Considering the fact that the knife wasn't clean, I would assume the same went for the glasses. Worst of all, I left a tip at the table (not required for a buffet, and certainly not earned as noted above); but when I declined to tip at checkout, they had the nerve to ask if I had tipped at the table - as if tipping was somehow required. And then argued with me when I made it clear that asking was inappropriate. Incredibly rude and a terrible way to treat customers. I should have made more of a scene, but I calmly made my point clear, no need for more drama. Will not be going back, and will suggest nobody else does either - if you want a reasonable buffet experience anyway. Edited to add: After writing this review, I decided to research to see if I was the only one that had a bad experience, and found a LOT. On Yelp, they have more one star reviews that two, three or four stars - making me think that many of the 5 star reviews are not legit. Just go to Yelp, and sort by newest first, to see that 3 of the last 5 reviews were one star - 4 of 6 if you include mine. Also, according to the AJC, this restaurant has had multiple failed health inspections in just the last five years: November 2025: Scored 59/U (Unsatisfactory). Violations included food not held at proper temperatures and cross-contamination issues. December 2021: Scored 52/U (Unsatisfactory). The restaurant failed its routine inspection after staff were observed failing to wash hands, alongside improper food storage and temperature violations. May 2021: Scored 37/U (Unsatisfactory) 37? 37?? That's not just a fail, that's a not even trying.

We generally enjoyed the Jamaican patties despite the confusion on our "patty flight." We were initially given 2 curry patties and later told it was because they didn't have anymore jerk patties. However, we were later sent a jerk patty, so that was confusing. Entertainment: This is where they lacked and why I wouldn't come back. We arrived at 7:30pm. During the time we were there, there was a boring old school play list and the songs people chose for karaoke. We came for karaoke because we'd been told by the bartender that night gets packed. That's not true, at any given time there weren't anymore than 10 tables with guests. Additionally, management was very strict about what songs could be performed for karaoke and told paying customers we couldn't curse. When I asked about this policy, the manger told me it was the traditional global way to be family friendly. If that's your thing, this would be the place for you but it didn't fit our needs for a girl's night and the women in our group were 35-55. Lastly, the two managers appeared to micromanage every move the servers and bartenders made, it just felt weird.
