Sure, who doesn't prefer a smile. But if my car is ready to roll in less than 10 minutes or that red wine comes out of my dress without leaving a mark, I will gladly forfeit any pleasantries. And I say all that to say this, some feel the same when it comes to haircuts. Not I. Yes, I am paying for the expertise, timeliness, and convenience (scheduling) first and foremost. But I do not want to sit in awkward silence while you clean up my neck or run the clippers over my skull wrinkles. I do not want to hear you complain about another customer or a messed up drink order at some franchise "coffee" shop. I want to have an enjoyable conversation with another human being. And if you have cool pets onsite, that's a bonus. I began coming here in the summer of 2021. Like some, I had let my hair grow out thanks to a Pandemic spurred motivation. But the time had come to get back to my roots (pun intended). Thankfully the hair stylist my wife went to was willing to take me as a client and also (the staff overall) practice health precautions. Soon I was in the chair and curls were piling up on the floor. Since then I have grown my hair back out, shaved it to stubble, and found a happy medium. I have graduated from Augusta University, taken time off to write, and am on the final stretch of grad school. My stylist, Devon, has had major life events of her own, but always waiting on me with a smile and clippers. With everything that has shifted, and is shifting, in my life these past three years she remains a deeply appreciated constant. Though I cannot speak to the numerous other services the team at Undertone provide, I have no doubt they are of the same excellent caliber. Also, be sure to say hello to Boris. That's just how you feel when you leave. Cleanliness is top notch, products are out of this world and I love that they try different brands and get feed back from their clients. I love it. It keeps me from buying something over the counter that may not work and then I'm stuck with it. I book three to six appointments out in advance and sometimes the full year. If I ever need to change my appointment there is no hassle and they work with me but in return I work with them. That's just building a smart relationship. I love this place!
