I saw a post on facebook and decided to come here at very first time but totally satisfied with my new hair. I haven't recognized that my real hair looks pretty like that without any treatment just only haircut. The lady was very professional too. The way she pulled my hair to in front made me a little bit nervous but then it came out amazing. Now I just need to blow my hair by the dryer and i will keep this hairstyle forever. Totally recommend and i will come back to redo it

I move to Aldergrove from Seattle so my options for a good hair cut place became narrow. Through family I found out about this place. The owner Shelly is very lovely and has years of experience and the other lady Vicky also a great addition to the location. I would recommend appointment because they have many loyal client already so do expect a wait if you just walk in. Now I have a two year old son he goes with me to get his haircut now as well, he is still in training but shelly has been really patient with him with all the crying.

I went to a different salon one week prior and everything that could have gone wrong did. Bad cut with poorly integrated layers, wrong colour, and over-processed highlights. I was wearing the ponytail of shame all week trying to figure out what could be done to fix my hair. After a consultation with Marina, she provided me with an option that would take my hair to a look I confidently wear while growing it out, and with the least amount of additional damage. When she was fixing my hair Marina explained everything she was going to do before doing it, which really put me at ease, and detailed the costs for each process. I am please to say I have found a new stylist and she is well worth the trip to Aldergrove, if you do not live out there.

Highly recommended!

I booked an appt with Marcia (the new Owner) on Oct 21, 2012 for a cut and highlights. When I…read morearrived on time, the girl who was supposed to do my hair wasn't in yet. Marcia said she would cut my hair and when the girl showed up, she would do my highlights....ok I guess... I don't think Marcia has ever cut hair before because she said "I cut hair dry" fine.. so she proceeds to just take random chunks and snip the ends. There was basically no hair on the ground and when I got home, it was TOTALLY CROOKED! The girl never showed up to color my hair and when she was finally called to see where she was, she said she was sick and had left a msg with the owner earlier that day. Marcia neglected to check her msgs I guess and basically I went home very upset that I didnt have my hair done and that I have crooked hair. I have since tried to call daily to express my sadness in CROOKED hair but no one answers the phone, go figure! If you want your hair done, DONT GO HERE! I dont even think she has ever cut hair before. This was a total joke of a hair salon and for a new owner, she really didnt seem to apologize too much for the ridiculous experience i had. Enjoy crooked hair if you go here!

This review is long overdue. First of all this is a review of ONE person I went to, not the salon…read moreor other people who work there. I went here in February of 2013 for the first time to get a colour correction done, as my hair was dyed too dark. They put me with someone new, who came from the film industry they said, so I thought awesome, I will be in good hands. As you can see from my profile picture on here, I was not. The colour correction ended up fine, other than the service I received which was horrible, more on the below. But the highlights I ended up with were horrendous. I asked for "subtle natural looking highlights" and ended up with skunk streaks that were BRIGHT YELLOW! As for the service I received, this was the most awkward 6 hours of my life, YES 6 hours! He was being rude and down right mean to the other stylists, he was very ruff on my neck while washing my hair, I was actually sore the next day, he washed my hair about 6 times that day and ran conditioner through once for like 2 seconds. You'd think after getting my hair stripped 3 times, then coloured, then bleached, I'd need some deep treatment. When brushing my hair he was also super ruff, ripping through it with the comb so hard that my head was bobbing around. When the bleach was on my head, he said it would only take a short while since my hair had just been stripped, but still took on another clients hair colour and cut, and I ended up sitting there for at least 30 mins with bleach on my head. When it was washed out, you could tell right away it was bright yellow. He didn't offer to tone it. I left there with chunky streaks, he thought looked great! I just wanted to get out of there so bad I paid, but the girl who rang me through could tell I was upset and that it looked bad. She gave me a bit of a discount. When I contacted the owners, they were very nice, but all I was offered was to have someone fix it (haha no thanks) so I ended up with some shampoo and conditioner for free. Yay. I ran to shoppers with my hood on, and bought a box of brown dye and dyed it as soon as I got home. NO way was I letting anyone see my hair like that. The other stylist there seemed to do great hair while I sat in the chair with this joker. If you go to this salon, just make sure not to go with the guy I went to.... http://www.aldergrovestar.com/business/190420481.html
