Worst haircut I have ever gotten. Whoever hires, you need to make them give someone a haircut in front of you. Whoever did mine did the worst job ever. I don't think they have a license. Not only is it bad with no shape, she has no idea what a c cup is and just completely shaved it off? Now my head has two straight lines down the side which is not standard practice and it looks bad. It was also a painful cut. She went straight to the clippers on the sides and didnt cut beforehand or anything so she was quite literally yanking my hair because it would get caught in the clippers. Basically every single time. I paid $25 for this. Absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. Worst experience. read more

I received a fantastic haircut from Axel. I have slightly curly/wavy hair and never know what to do with it. Axel knew exactly how to cut it to add volume and accentuate my curls. This location is 5 star because it has Breauna! She is one of the few people who can cut a straight line in my hair. I have been in salons on Newbury St in Boston and many other places from low cost to high and this is cheap and the best! She also cuts my husband's hair. Apparently he has a colic that is problematic for most stylists resulting in an uneven appearing cut. Not with Breauna! She works magic. And she's incredibly nice. Others in the salon are also nice though we have not used them. The salon itself is conveniently located with free parking. read more

Five stars for the stylist, 3 stars for the vibe/atmosphere. I've had terrible luck with haircuts ever since I started embracing my 2c wavy hair. I finally learned not to use the same products as straight hair, but I couldn't seem to find a stylist that understood the cut needed to be different than straight hair, too. I had a previous bad haircut that had grown out enough to try to reshape it, so I came in. I lucked TF out. I got Ryan, a young woman who also has curly hair. She asked me a bunch of questions about my hair and looked a few diff photos I brought in. She gave me some kind of modern shag layered deal that looks really expensive. For the first time my hair isn't bulky at the ends or too thick in the middle, and the haircut looks good airdried. She introduced me to Fast Foam too, which now makes me wonder if I actually have 3A hair. Never would have expected this from a stripmall salon, hence me bothering to review. But now that I found her I know I'll be back. The only downside is this is the kind of place that doesn't do appointments. read more

Yesterday, September 30, 2022, I went Great Clips for a haircut because I couldn't stand the grow out anymore. There was absolutely no wait time until they called my name! I had saved some pictures from the internet of the cut I liked to show my stylist, Ryan. What a sweetie! She looked the pictures, asked me more questions and went right to work. We even chatted a little. When she was finished I asked if she could take a little more off the top....no problem!! I felt like she spent a lot of time with me, made me feel comfortable and that I was the center of her focus....plus I got a great haircut....exactly what I wanted! Convenience comes at a price I guess. We've been here 4x for my son's haircut (the same exact cut each time). 1 out of those 4 times we got Tia (?) as our stylist and she did a great job. The other 3 times we ended having to fix the cut ourselves at home or pay someone else to fix. The staff is all pretty nice, the quality of cuts is no good. Learned our lesson finally and won't be back. Put in a Thai restaurant instead! read more

Hello. I am a former stylist/manager. I worked at this great clips for about 4 and a half years. Their new franchise owners are absolutely TERRIBLE. The new management they put in charge has absolutely no idea what they're doing. They Do NOT care about the customer or their employees. All they want is, you guessed it, More money. You will not see the same hairstylist in there. They change them all the time. If you have a favorite stylist, forget about going back to them. Went in there for the first time about 4 months ago. Got a decent haircut from a nice lady. It was even but not really what I asked for but was cool enough to let it go. I'll go back for my next one. Second time was over a month ago and another nice lady cut my hair, but it was uneven and grew out weird in some places. I wasn't completely happy with it but again - I let it go. This time my hair grew out longer in some spots and shorter in another. I was not happy about how it grew out. Third time was it. The woman who cut my hair was a nice lady too, but by far the worst haircut from this place. When I left the salon I felt my hair looked fine. The next day I noticed that the sides of my head were completely uneven. She cut my hair way to high and short on one side and left the other side much longer and not as high. I basically have one side of my head shorter than the other side and I look completely ridiculous. I should've stopped coming to this place after the second haircut. If you really care about your hair looking good and won't get bent out of shape if it comes out like mine did, then DO NOT come here. I only gave this place 2 stars because the staff were nice. The quality of haircut is way low. Never going back. Third was the complete opposite of a charm. read more

This Great Clips is an absolute garbage fire, and the worst solon I have ever been to. This is not hyperbole on my part. I tend to be rather forgiving of businesses and I have never written a review on Yelp or anywhere else. After the third repeated negative experience there however I feel an obligation to report what about this place makes it absolutely awful. Embarrassing as it is for me to admit (but not as embarrassing as the haircuts I've received), the awfulness of this Great Clips is attributed to two women who work there. One an older asian lady, and the other one a younger Asian. (It is embarrassing for me to point out that both were Asian but I couldn't find their names and have no better way to describe them. The most first two times I went I had my hair cut by the younger woman. I believe I have an extremely easy haircut that I have seen stylists of all experiences do well-- short on the sides faded to a combover on top. No other instructions, no other picky requests. The first two times with the younger asian she first off made it clear that she could not understand what I was saying--but took every opportunity to make me feel stupid. When I told her my occupation (high school), she criticized it and reprimanded me for not teaching any asian history. When she would get my haircut wrong, and I would (kindly) ask for clarification, she would huff and tell me this is the way my haircut is suppose to be. This happened twice in a row. The third and final time I got the older Asian lady. Now I think I should say, I go to this store because it is much much closer than any other solons and I've never felt like driver farther to pay more for a very simple haircut. Nevertheless, when I went this third and final time I got the older Asian, and hoped it would be better. I should've known not to have her cut my hair though after seeing the guy in front of me refuse to go with her. She was old, feeble, a poor english communicator and a terrible cutter of hair. She mispronounced my name loudly even after I corrected her, and she seemed to not care how I should pronounce my name. Her hands were shaky, she did not talk to me, and seemed to meagerly attempt to cut certain parts of my hair before just giving up. Essentially, once I got home I realized that she buzzed the sides but did not blend the part between the sides and the top of my head--leaving an awkward looking line between the top and sides of my head. I should've refused to pay for the haircut--but a situation like this had never happened to me before. I didn't know what to do. I left, and tried to give the benefit of the doubt, hoping that it would all be alright once I got home. It hasn't, and my (very rare) disgust with this place grows. Right now I am wondering whether I should call and ask to get my hair recut. Nevertheless, I must say that until this store fires both ladies I will drive farther and spend more to avoid them--and I recommend that you do to. read more

I would not recommend using their online check-in. I checked in, waited the 24 minutes it said before I showed up. When I arrived I was told that the wait would be another 20 minutes. Isn't the purpose of online check-in to avoid the wait? The staff didn't seem to care. read more
