Manager with purple hair & under cut ... I had a pretty disappointing experience at Great Clips. The manager was rude and came off very dismissive during my visit. I felt rushed and like my concerns weren't really being listened to, which made the whole experience uncomfortable. Customer service is a big part of any business, and this just didn't meet expectations. I wasn't treated with much respect, and it definitely left a bad impression. This has to be the worst haircut I've ever paid for! Last night when we arrived around 5:30 the staff seemed understandably busy but also a bit rude. But we were just happy that they were able to see us right away. Unfortunately our visit did not have a happy ending. Once we got home and our son was able to brush his hair we saw what is by far the worst haircut I've ever paid for. For anyone in need of a haircut I highly recommend spending just a couple more dollars for a true barber/stylist to do it right. Signed up for a haircut online. Site said 107 minute wait. Also said to be there 10 to 15 minutes before appt. Got there and a dozen people on side walk. Associate came out, I gave her my name, was told it would be over an hour wait. Gave me some lame excuse, and I asked what was the point of going online and making appt. if they were not honoring. Last time I visit Goofy Klips. Before virus they were closed 2 days during the week. Need to find a GOOD independent hair person. read more

My husband went in yesterday to get a last minute haircut before a wedding. He said the Lady was super nice just did a very terrible job. It was not straight in the front with uneven patches where it should have been lined up and clean lines. For as outspoken as he is I'm surprised he paid. The male stylist that works there is absolutely terrible! I asked for about 4 inches off for a long bob all one length. He proceeded to part it on the side of my head, cut casually along my back and that was it. He cut over 6-8 inches off. I walked out of there ran my hands through my hair and ended up seeing that the left side had a chunk in the front a good 2 inches longer than the right. It didn't get any better in the back. So uneven. After my mom convinced me to go back and have it fixed, the nice lady with grey short hair fixed it. She had another stylist come over and she proceeded to take pictures it was so bad. This was unacceptable. I didn't get names as he didn't even introduce himself but he had short reddish hair, sleeve tattoos, and smelled of cigarettes. Omg took my 15 years son for haircut, never again. I did sometimes took him there and never had problem. But this time a man with a broken finger on his hand cut his hair. And my son cried all the way home, I didn't saw result right away only when we come home, I went to store across, and when I come back, my son had a hoodie on, so I tip the guy and walk to car. In the car my son broke down crying. Now he is wearing basketball hat to school, and I did promise him, that I never will take him there again. read more

One star for the price.. Terrible customer service by the lady in dark brown hair with bangs. Very unprofessional, unfriendly, rude, and disrespectful. When it was time for my son's hair cut, instead of calling his name and giving welcome greeting, she goes, "come on, I'm waiting, SIT HERE." In the rudest voice possible. I have no idea why she was treating my son and I the way she did but it was NOT OK. Never coming back here again... I'll be paying extra to go to 'The Barbers' down the street. I had not gone to Great Clips for many years. I was recently complaining about the cost of a "professional" haircut and beard trim at my "hipster barber", so I opted to try Great Clips again. I had one good haircut by "Che (Qi)"? She was very professional, personable and fun to talk to. I actually give Che 5 stars. This past weekend I went back for another haircut and got "Toni", an older lady with terribly dyed green/purple colored hair. She did a terrible job. One side is longer than the other and where she used the clippers, there were chunks of hair she missed. When I got home, I had to scissor the top of my head to remove the tufts of missed hair. On the way home, I almost considered going to another barber to have my haircut fixed. 1 star for Toni. Worst haircut I've ever had. read more

Okay, I usually go here because there isn't any other hair cut place around. Some of the stylists are "okay", but others are actually really bad. I decided to not go to ANY Great Clips because I'm sure they hire anybody that can hold an electric razor. That being said, out of all the time I went to Great Clips I probably only got like a good 2 haircuts. If you plan on going there, I suggest you find someplace else. It isn't worth going to a hair salon where any stylist will do a cut for you especially if they don't know what they are doing or know how to cut hair for that matter. I have been coming here for more than 2 years, counting the time they were on Sunnyside. It will be my last. A guy cut my hair so quickly and did a horrible job! I did not noticed till I got home and washed my hair. He left chunks and deep cuts on other sides. I never complain when it comes to hair, but this time, I went back and asked the guy to fix it. When I called to see if I can get in, Renae answered he was extremely rude when I asked if my hairdresser I always use was working he said I don't know. I said well I need to know he said maybe this evening & I asked what time can you please go & check. Then he tells me I think 2:00 I said well that's not evening. He said very nasty wait a minute as he was walking to see I said wow what a jerk & he obviously heard me. When he came back to the phone he said F you & hung up on me. The lack of communication and service was absolutely terrible. A lady that worked there told me, and my little sister that we would wait less than an hour. All of a sudden more people started coming in and we were just waiting. 1 hour and 34 minutes later we confront the front desk lady that looks about 20. She tells us we have to wait ANOTHER HOUR. We were so mad we told her in the calmest way possible that she should've had more communication and not have been dishonest. We will never come here again. This review is specifically for Melissa; I haven't had my hair cut by anyone else at this place. I've seen Melissa a few times now and referred a friend too. I have unruly Hispanic/Asian mix hair that is thick, and I have a LOT of it. Not the easiest hair to cut. On top of that I've gone in there gettin' crazy and asking for stuff like an a-line bob. I don't know what came over me but fortunately Melissa's got skillz. She took her time cutting my hair, and I know that's at least twice as much time as she spends on the typical customer because of my Medusa issues. She's easy to talk to and goes out of her way to explain things about hair in ways other people who've cut my hair don't (I'm a geek, I like to know why this, why that). She doesn't pressure me to dye, or even say anything about, my white hairs (bless her) like almost every other stylist I've ever had does (damn them all to hell). And she doesn't shame me for not getting a trim every 6-8 weeks. I like that. I like that a lot. Anyway, the proof is in the pudding. My hair. Well there's no pudding in my hair, but yeah. Took my son for a haircut and the guy cut his hair was rude, unprofessional and definitely looking like a druggy. He didn't know how to cut and keep pulling my son hair with his electric cutter. Sooo dissapointed. This is a new store in a new area of town, Happy Valley, and you would think they would bring in stylists that know what they are doing .Had a guy do my hair today, simple wash and blow dry short bob. First off they tell me it will be $30!!! Whaaat? A wash and finger dry is $5 but if they use a brush it's $30. They can't tell i have short hair evidently. It doesnt even hit my shoulder. So that puts me in the long category. Not the regular which is only $15. I have to have it done so I say fine. 2 of the stylist standing there. I'm getting more upset then the male stylist says it's cause the utilities go up. Few more words were exchanged over that remark. I sit down to wait and the female stylist on her way out the door stops by to tell me she is sorry I'm so angry and wants to let me know this visit will only be $20. well duh, that's what it should be. Thank you. Oh no, the smart mouth calls me to do my hair. People, this review is not long enough for me to tell the story. At one point, 1 he later, I just threw up my hands and said we are done here. He ssys..you aren't happy? Dude. Do i look happy? Put my sweater on over a wet neck shirt. He says $30. I say no, the other girl said it would be $20. More words exchanged. Handing him my c.f. and he says, you know, I got this one. I have enough cash to pay it myself. Now he is chapped off. Good! The only other stylist comes over and I'm handing her my card and he is like no, I'm paying. So she starts deleting the transaction. More words. I turn and head out the door and she says have a great evening. Of course I sent the sentiment back to her. Do I ever go back? Man, I don't need this just for s wash and dry. My other place that I normally go to twice a week is $15 plus a $5 tip. They do a great job and I get s hug when i leave. I must not be all bad. Big Corp only promotes small independent salons. DO NOT GO HERE. Never again. Staff turnover is rapid. I take my kids there and easy cuts for my self. This time the first person left me with chunks of long parts underneath my "Bob" so I went back later to 'fix it'. She tried again, I had to stop her. The other lady finished up my 'Bob' which is now a super short multi length wedge with long pieces in front. I look like an idiot. They bot thold me my thick hair is 'tricky to cut'. Great place to get kids hair cuts. It's inexpensive. My complaint is the check in online processes. We use it because they tell us it is the quickest way to get service. When you check in online, you receive a message telling you how long the wait is. Based on the wait time I can schedule what time to leave my house and be at great clips. Never have they been on time when we have arrived, Especially today. Today we waited between 15-20, There has got to be a better way of making this work. I'm getting frustrated with this system and am leaning towards paying more elsewhere. Some place where I can schedule a appointment and have the person be on time ( or close to) read more
