This hair salon is great for men. They do great men's haircuts. I have twin sons who are now young men and they did a great job on their hair. However, I don't recommend them for ladies haircuts. I asked her to take off an inch off the back and she took at least 3 inches. It wasn't so much the hair off the back that my church would rebuke me, but it was too much. I wanted my bangs touched up and she butchered them. Right before my theater head shots too! I had to go home and try to repair my bangs on my own. I wish I had realized the bangs were that bad before I tipped her. I don't tip for bad service. But what is done is done and I guess she needs to make a living too. I will happily take my sons back there, but I will never go back there for myself ever again. read more

I suppose my first mistake was going in to a Great Clips at all. If you want a serious chop job on your hair and end up with nothing at all like you asked for, go here. I showed the "stylist" a picture of ME with the hair cut I wanted. It was a cut I had previously, obviously not here. How hard can it be for someone that's "been doing hair for 23 years" to listen to a client. I had to keep redirecting her. She acted as though she knew everything and didn't listen to me at all. I didn't realize just how bad the cut was until I got home, showered and attempted to do it myself. I'm very capable of styling my own hair. I couldn't do anything but try and cover up the slop job that my is now. read more

I asked for a trim/long layers and the lady spent an hour and fifteen minutes chopping at my hair. She cut 4-5 inches off and left me with gaping holes in my hair that were close to my ears. I went to another salon and they said there was no fixing it, though 4 stylists attempted to help me the best they could. I contacted corporate and sent pictures. They only said they'd pass along my name to the owner, which they must not have bc the owner never contacted me. I called several times and finally the "new" manager said the owner said he wouldn't refund me for their cut or pay for service to fix bc they have so many complaints that if they paid me back they'd have to pay all of them too! What's that tell you?! Good luck if you go! Girl who chopped my hair is still working there. They told me that themselves! O stars! read more

This was my first visit and LAST VISITS to this location. I went early on a Sunday morning and there were (2) stylists working with (2) customers. One of the stylists was very involved with a young girl, while the other stylist was close to finishing up with a female (that took about 10 minutes). After the stylist finished up with the female, she then checked out that customer, but FOR SOME REASON, it took another 10 to 15 minutes for both stylists to DO WHATEVER they were doing with that female customer (who whad already paid). Meanwhile, after being there for almost 15 minutes, another female walked in and was greeted by the second stylist (who inquired if that customer had checked in online, which she had). After finally dealing with the original female customer (who had already been checked out), the second stylist finished with the first customer, the second stylists then cleaned her station and then called up the women had come in after me (even though she had only been there less than 5 minutes). Now I realize that the other customer had checked in online, but I had been there over 15 minutes while the stylists were doing WHATEVER with the first female customer that had already been checked out, and then they do not to take me, just because I did check in online. WHY DO YOU HAVE A SIGN THAT SAYS, "WALK-INS WELCOME". Yeah, walk-ins are only welcome only if you check in online. The stylist could have taken me if she had not been dinking around with the first female customer that had already been checked out. So congratulations Great Clips LaGrange, I'll make sure to take my money to other locations that will be willing to take me as a walk in, and funny, I am brand new to the LaGrange area. My daughter went in to get 1/2 inch trimmed of off her hair. She walked out with four inches off. Yes, I got my money back but that does NOT get her hair back. No, I will not be walking back into this store...ever. read more

Out of the 3 haircuts I've gotten, 2 have been incorrectly done, and the last was done without any effort from the barber. The first was way shorter than I had asked for, which wasn't a huge problem so I just accepted it. The 2nd was actually, to my surprise, really good and was done exactly to my liking and blended perfectly with no long pieces, etc. However, the 3rd was horrendous. The barber just got into work, and I was her first customer (they have multiple barbers and you're randomly selected for one unless you request one). I sat down in the chair like usual and said what I wanted done, and she seemed like she got the point. She began trimming along my ear with the scissors, but on the SECOND cut she cut directly into the top of my ear. She claimed it was small (it really is), and that it didn't need any attention but if it got worse she'd put a bandaid on it(how?). She continued on with the haircut, which was far less than par overall. All the while I could feel drops of blood running down the back of my ear and she was wiping it I'd say every 2-4 minutes. The haircut itself was way shorter than I requested, and horribly blended. I can see the cuts she made with the scissors clearly all over my hair, with rows of different length hairs. Not to mention, that when she got to trimming my other ear she joked about me being anxious that she'd cut it too. I'm done trying my luck there and will return to my original, but further and less convenient option. read more

I have frequently visited the Great Clips in LaGrange and I have never had an issue. The ladies that have cut my hair (what's left of it) have always been quick, efficient and polite. I also keep in mind that I am not paying for a salon experience, I am paying for the convenience of a quick and inexpensive haircut. If the wait is too long, I leave and come back later. read more
