Very disappointing haircut experience I rarely leave negative reviews, but my visit to Great Clips was honestly frustrating from start to finish. I showed a clear reference photo and explained exactly how I wanted my hair cut, but the stylist didn't seem to listen at all. The cut I received was uneven, and nothing like what I described. What made it worse was that the stylist seemed rushed, even though the shop wasn't busy. There was no attention to detail, and I felt like they just wanted to get me out of the chair as quickly as possible. I left the salon feeling embarrassed and immediately had to look for another place to fix it. For the stress it caused, this was a really disappointing experience. Two times in a row I have requested the high and tight but keep the top long. Even provided multiple pictures. First time they still cut the top short. Even after I requested them to NOT TAKE THE LENGTH from the top. So had to wait for hair to grow back and since the top was messed up, my hair looked like crap waiting for the left to get back. So I go back and see someone else. I tell them they took too much off the last time. I specifically say DO NOT TAKE THE LENGTH. If anything just texture it a little. They. BUTCHERED my hair. She thought I'd be happy when she said she only took about an inch and a half... FROM THE FIRST CUT! They didn't even try to start off shorter and see what I thought. They do not listen at all if you want a basic cheap haircut with no style and from people who don't care what you request, then this is the place. If you value the services you spend money on, this is not the place to go. Charged me two times for the two worst hatchet jobs by two different people. read more

Unfortunately I was pretty disappointed by this Great Clips. My husband doesn't typically worry about his hair too much and likes a pretty simple cut (clean up the sides, just a little off the top) and in his own words "this was the worst haircut of his life". The front was so uneven I had to clean it up myself when we got home. The online check in and day-of service are good selling points, but be careful here. read more

They are probably great for simple hair cuts but the styles absolutely destroyed my daughter's waist length hair. She was asked if she was able to put layers in her hair with out losing much length. She left choppy, un even layers that will have to be corrected by someone else. I will never go back. read more

I had a good experience. I have long, curly hair and it was a mess prior to the visit (damage and uneven cut). I didn't have anything specific in mind, really just wanted my hair fixed and Lisa was friendly and did a pretty good job with the hair cut. Can't beat the price either so I'm very happy and will return. read more

Left my son looking like Lloyd from dumb and dumber. Took people in front of us that had been in for a haircut the prior day and needed it fixed. After waiting 20 minutes with no one else in line except the gentleman they took in front of us, the woman went on to tell me it would just be a minute more. I said I'd come back and they looked at me like I was the jerk, but I had a family member sick in the hospital I was trying to get to and they just kept expecting me to sit with a two year old who was being as good as possible after an almost 30 minute wait. read more

I have taken my son here a couple of times when he needed a haircut quick and we couldn't get in to see our usual person. It usually ends up being very awkward for him and he dreads it. Until today! I will keep coming hear unless I move away from Leavenworth. I have to admit the staff is pretty rad. You don't wanna talk while getting a haircut? No problem for me because I typically just like to sit back and enjoy my haircut. If I'm feeling like talking during my haircut, boom! The ladies working there don't mind. Anytime I ask for a certain haircut I get it. If your leaving with a cut you didn't want I'm more positive that you may of just didn't explain enough or agreed to something you didn't want. It's okay to say "that's not exactly what I'm looking for" there not gonna be upset and you'll leave wouldn't you believe it, not upset. Took my daughter here for a simple stacked bob, and ended up with a butchered haircut, since at the time, the place I would have taken her had already closed for the day. I may not be a licensed cosmetologist but I do know texturizing scissors are not meant to layer hair, and now my daughters head looks like she cut her own hair in art class. If you're a man, or taking your son for a quick high and tight or something requiring clippers, this is your place. However, if you're looking for a place for a girls cut, this is NOT your place. I am usually very pleased with great clips, but today not so happy. I always check in online. Walked in and they asked if I checked in and I said yes. Thought I was good to go because they usually call you in top of the list order. After I got passed over a couple times finally figured out I had to let them know I was here by name. The people are nice, the facility is clean, and service is remarkable. The only downside to this place is that it's so popular the lines are usually long, however, you can check in online with their app to beat the lines. It'll also tell you how long the current wait time is so that you can adjust your arrival time. Out of the three times I've used it...it's been pretty spot on. read more

I've had mixed experiences with this great clips. But I've had more bad than good. It seems every time I go; they either don't do what I asked, or they rush through my hair cut and there are some parts of my hair that doesn't get cut or the front of my hair isn't even and mostly every time I go I have to come home to actually do my hair and fix it myself. When they cut my hair they leave it wet, blow dry it a few seconds and that's it. So I don't think I'm going to go back this was the last time they're touching my hair. read more

My husband and I have both gotten our hair cuts there. Our grandsons have gotten there's cut also. The cuts are barely acceptable but worked when in a hurry. I had 2 of my grandchildren at the pedestrian and met a mother and her son. He had several lacerations on his head and a pretty significant one on his ear that required stitches. All of our family members have been nicked or cut but nothing that bad. Bloodborn decease is a concern if it is happening this frequently. I've been here a few times, and only once has one of the stylists cut my hair the way I wanted it to be done. I like having layers in my hair and it seems like the stylists in this town are afraid to cut hair. I went today and asked to have my hair styled like in a picture I found. It was a long bob with layers. The stylist cut the three inches from my hair and that was it. She says there's layers, but there are not. When she was done I asked if she cut any layers and the stylist said she did long layers because my hair would look choppy if I put in up in a pony tail. My hair looks the same as it did when I went in, straight, un-layered, and boring. The only difference is the three inches that were cut. Now I have to find another salon and get my hair cut yet again and hopefully the next stylist will cut my hair the way I'm wanting it done. read more

My husband went here to get a simple cut, shave both sides and keep the Mohawk in the middle. Any professional can do it, but apparently not today. They messed up his hair, giving him a Mohawk on the left side of his head and not down the middle. That's right. They couldn't even center a Mohawk. On top of completely screwing it up, the whole thing was horrible, part of it being too thin, then randomly going super thick. I can't believe any professional would even think of doing something so embarrassing as to screw up a haircut so bad and STILL make someone pay for it. A four year old could have done better. Now he has to just shave it off, wasting all of the money we spent on bleach and hair color we JUST used for his hair last night. This place is awful, and the "professionals" clearly don't care about the customers or doing their job right. We will never go there again, WORST hair salon we've ever been to, and this isn't the first time they've messed up his or my hair. read more
