The first time we booked, we had to cancel because he was still asleep and sleep around here is precious. We called and they were nice and relaxed about it. Another time we tried to come, we had to change his diaper last minute again and were running late, so we called again. We learned that appointments here are only fifteen minutes long, so if you're going to be over five minutes late, you need to re-schedule. Their online booking service was super convenient and we finally booked an appointment we could make with his nap schedule. We arrived and our son immediately lit up. He loved the slide they have in the lobby, the little car chairs they cut their hair in, and the Disney moving playing on the TV. He got so excited to sit in the car chair that he hardly noticed his hair being lightly sprayed with water. We were paired with Reba, who immediately started cutting his hair, taking advantage of him sitting still. Every time she needed him to move his head, she'd lightly tap on the little car steering wheel in front of our son with her comb and he'd turn her head. We were amazed. It's like she's done it before. LOL. His haircut is so cute and he was beaming the whole time. This is a child who won't let us drive more than five minutes before he wants out of his car seat, yet he loved sitting in the hair dresser chair. It went so much better than we thought it would and we are so thankful. We did the first haircut package which was $26 but comes with their lock of hair, and a family photo, all on a certificate. It honestly is so sweet and I'll keep it forever, so it was worth it in my book. We will definitely come back here! Thanks for being so great with our son!

I have pretty curly hair and it takes a special stylist to know how to cut them without turning it into a fro. She does a great job each time! Parking can sometimes be a challenge if you want to park close to the salon (it is downtown Carmel, after all) but there's a garage and public parking down the street. So don't let the parking deter you. I've had my share of bad haircuts in my life but never have to worry with Keri. I always know I'll leave feeling and looking great!

I took a chance and walked into DL salon. I live in the neighborhood and walk by the salon daily. I knew it was a pretty good possibility that I could get him in because I have never seen one client in the salon. I was right. He was in the stylists chair within 5 minutes. The stylist finished his hair and asked me if I was satisfied. I said no and asked him to texturize it and give it more dimension. It looked like he put a bowl over his head and cut around it. He attempted to correct it. I was disappointed. I told myself that I walked into a salon not knowing anything about it. I also reminded myself that it was a salon that is always empty....hence, they couldn't be that good if you can walk ion and get an appointment. I proceeded to the reception desk to pay for my services. The receptionist gave me my total and i was in shock! I had purchased some product for my hair so I asked her for an itemization. The haircut was $60.00!!!!!! I was at a loss for words. I have 4 children. I have taken them to my salon which is a very well known, high end salon and have NEVER paid over $30 for a haircut for them. Also, I cannot recommend getting makeup done for special events here as I got my makeup done for my sister's wedding and was not satisfied. I feel like the makeup artist went too light and made me look more pale than I really am. I was super frustrated because I mentioned to her a few times how I wanted it to be a little darker and I'm not sure she caught on. I also did not have enough time to go home and take it off and redo my makeup so I had to wear that makeup for my sister's wedding and wedding photos. Overall, I'd recommend EM for haircut needs, hair coloring, and certain hair styles but not for your makeup needs.
