Today, when I went to pay, he informed me that I had supposedly been undercharged during my previous visit and added approximately $15-$20 to my bill. I was honestly taken aback. I explained that I paid exactly what I was asked to pay at my last appointment. If the salon made an error when calculating my bill, how is that the customer's fault? He was very rude and dismissive about the entire situation and never even clearly explained what I had supposedly been undercharged for. I paid the additional amount without arguing and left, but the whole interaction left a very bad taste in my mouth. For a business, absorbing a $15-$20 mistake made by its own staff would have been a small price to pay compared with making a longtime customer feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. This is especially disappointing considering that the cost of my services has nearly doubled over the past two years. I have continued coming because I value Anna and the beautiful work she does, but after today's experience, I am genuinely reconsidering whether I want to return. You simply should not treat loyal customers this way. If it weren't for Anna, I would not step foot in this salon again.

In the appointment notes, I specifically stated that the makeup was for a graduation, and when my daughter sat down in the chair, she also clearly requested a natural look. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. The appointment took over an hour, which immediately concerned me because professional makeup applications I've experienced in the past for senior pictures and prom were completed much more efficiently and looked flawless. Instead, my daughter came home with extremely heavy makeup, thick black eyeliner, overly dark brows drawn in with black pencil despite her having brown hair, and a dramatic smoky eye look that was completely inappropriate for the soft, natural graduation look she requested. To make matters worse, the foundation did not match her skin tone at all. She looked extremely washed out in person and in photos. We ended up having to completely wash off her face before graduation and only kept the lashes because the eyeliner was so difficult to remove. I truly do not enjoy leaving negative reviews, especially regarding someone's work, but for a $90 service, I expected much better professionalism, technique, and attention to the client's requests. My daughter should have felt beautiful and confident for such an important milestone, and instead we were left stressed and scrambling to fix the makeup ourselves before graduation. I would recommend going to Ulta for products, but unfortunately I would not recommend booking makeup services with this artist based on our experience.
