Each step along the way we felt well communicated with and valued as a customer. Competitive pricing and overall all a great value. We had planned on doing a west facing wall but after showing Dave around at our problem areas and weighing the return on investment we decided on the attic. The first team removed all the old insulation with a giant vacuum, the took about 5 hours, the next team came the following day and sprayed in the new foam. There was one little issue that caused damage to the ceiling. They handled the issue like a professional company. They quickly let us know about the issue and had a repair scheduled the same day. Look at the pictures they did a great job!

A few days later the same lady called and wanted to make an appointment date? Then, they were going to come the Friday before to install a cover on an attic fan we have. They called Thursday to install an attic stairs? I told them it was only an enclosure. She said it was not needed to come then, they would do it during the insulation install? A half hour later they called back and wanted to come anyway to make the enclosure. She told me she would call in the morning with the time of arrival. At 8:30 my doorbell was ringing, they were already here? Never got a call? The guys arrived in unmarked car and pickup truck (looked like their own vehicles?) It was raining hard so I let them use my garage to cut their materials but they had to go to the local big box store to get them! They did a good job and left. The guy even made a cover for me to cover the fan in the winter months but left it off as the sealant was still wet, he did not want to get cover stuck. On install day I finally got a text saying they were on their way at 8:45am. A marked truck showed up this time pulling a trailer. He said another crew was also on the way. He said they would go up and start the air sealing (I was not getting air sealing?) and install the baffles. He had to call the shop to find out there was no air sealing! They went up to install baffles and I told him about the cover the guy left off. After a bit they came down and said they were done, just waiting on the other crew? I went up the ladder to see the work they had done, they got the baffles up but glued on the cover to the enclosure! I told him the cover was supposed to be removable, he said he would remove it and clean off the glue. Once the guys showed up with the insulation blower it only took a few moments before their machine broke down. They attempted to fix it with no luck. They finally left and came back with a rental from a big box store? They tried again, the stuff was moving slow but it was now at least moving. That did not last long! It finally quit blowing altogether and another guy brought some other insulation. That did not work either, so they went back to the store and got another unit. It finally worked. When they were done I went in to get a check to pay them. When I came out the guy had the ladder up to the attic already closed and was cleaning up. It was now 5:30 pm and I was leaving early the next morning to be gone for 5 days. I never got a chance to check out the final job? Everyone was tired so I thought It would be fine, I'd look when I got home? Once home the following Sunday I did not get to look, Monday was a blizzard outside, Tuesday I had appointments and had out of town visitors arriving. I finally looked the the job on Wednesday. Boy was I disappointed. At least one of the baffles had already fallen down, one was completely plugged with insulation and most of the bays were not even full of insulation! I sent an e-mail to the salesman, he answered he was sorry and would let the office know. I never heard from them in two days? I sent another e-mail to the office directly on Sunday evening, as of Monday night I still have no reply? I paid the bill in good faith an ddid not demand they put the ladder back up to inspect the work. Nobody else inspected the kids work either that sprayed the insulation? The job Is not done and they don't seem to care to call back?? I would not recommended his company!

I had very specific engineering requirements for our build to achieve a very high performance, Thermal comfort gave us what I required. I had a previous Spray foam contractor from a prior build and received 3 additional bids for this 2020 project. I choose Thermal comfort from the 4 companies for several reasons and I am very pleased that I did. Closed cell IMO is the only way to go, that said the install is critical and the site crew was fantastic. George, was the lead and listened to my install concerns and did an excellent job. Rich and Walt were also on hand and also did great. They accommodated us the best possible in the timing of our project. You could see it all over our ceiling we had to have a company come in and fix it, we called CK services they told us there was mold all over in the attic. So we had to hire a mold cleaning company to get rid of the mold CK services told us that he put the ridge vent cap on wrong and there was no air circulating through the attic and that's what caused the mold. I am spending the time to write this detailed review, to help someone who is looking for…read morecompetent , honest contractor with a quality brand of windows With all the contractors in the market it is hard to know who to select ( who you can trust ) I found that Artic Sun met the 3 important criteria, critical in buying new windows: Fair pricing Quality windows -( I have had cheap quality windows lose their insulation ability in a short time ) A competent , windows installer that has construction background. This is can make a difference I met with 5 window contractors before finding David with Artic Sun. 2 of the contractors bids were double of those of Artic Sun Not happy with any of these contractors. So I research and learned Polaris Thermaweld brand is highly rated, medium price range. Searching the internet for Polaris ,found Arctic Sun. Met with David - the owner -he was polite, respectful, honest, and not pushy most of the other contractors. He has been in the window business and installing for 25 years. I needed a garage window done, but major issue were with 1st floor and 2nd floor picture window- 2nd floor window directly above 1st floor window. I initially wanted the just 1st floor window done, as the inside wood had deteriorated, and concerned there may be water coming in as outside trim not in good shape. I had David look at this window, and then the 2nd floor window, just to get his thoughts. There was a visible gap on the top of the 2nd floor window frame, seen from the outside. David looked closely at this 2nd floor window, said if I was to replace any window- do this one. He pointed out how there was were areas of potential water damage coming through the wall down to the 1 st floor window, areas where the plaster was expanding, which indicates water may be flowing through. David was legitimately concerned there was an issue. None of the other contractors said anything about issues with this window. They just said " sure we can replace that " No other comments. Didn't care, just wanted to sell windows I decided to do the 1st and 2nd floor windows ( and the small garage window) And good thing I did. David was right- there were many issues with both windows. Jim, who did the window installation, has been doing this for 24 years. He is knows how to build, how houses are constructed. He told me the 2nd floor picture window was originally installed upside down, so the window sill was on top, angle down, which allowed the flow of water into the window casing. This rotted the wood inside the wall, creating several holes. The water then flowed down to the first floor window, which was directly below the 2nd floor window. There also, were holes in the window frame. rotted wood and evidence of carpenter ants. Jim repaired everything, added some boards, and foam insulation The new windows look amazing !! The new vinyl windows look like high end wood windows and match my other wood ones. David and Jim are cousins, it was obvious listening to their conversations that they work well together- also significant factor. After the job was done, they cleaned up every area, move drain sprout back into position - basically could not tell any work was done. David cleaned my new windows so well, you could not tell there was glass. I am so appreciate of their knowledge, expertise and advice. If I had just done the 1st floor window ( which was my initial plan ) there would have been continued water flowing down from 2nd floor , causing damage to my new window. This is a great company , I highly recommend them. They know what they are doing!!
