Excellent wood, consistent quality, and great service. Premium stuff is not cheap, but it's worth it. Thank you!

Since 2010 this Business sells wholesale seasoned mixed hardwood and white ash firewood for…read morecustomers to either pick up or have a order delivered. I drove by their sign of advertisement while I was working and cruising along Canal Rd. When I moved in my colonial home on Sept. 1991, I have used the natural wood burning fireplace located in the family room during the Fall & Winter Months. Back in 1991 and years after I found a few different companies selling firewood in price ranges from $55, $65, $75 lastly in 2007. Prices have increased due to high in demand to process firewood plus gas or fuel prices. So I realize its understandable to raise up the price for a truckload of wood. Usually I burn 1-2 cords depending on Michigan cold and windy winters. On February 7th, the backyard wood wall area was empty and the last of the firewood to burn was stacked in my garage. I decided it was time to call Cornelius Firewood, to check their price and availability on a face cord of the mixed hardwood. I left and message and within a hour I was talking with Samantha who returned my call. She informed Me that their supply was low and a new truckload of seasoned firewood would arrive in 2 weeks. I was fine with her answer so she put my name on a wait list for a call back with a delivery day and time. On Saturday, February 22 promptly at 9:00 A.M. a dump truck arrived with a face cord for $110.00. The boss and owner "Markell Cornelius" made the delivery and drop in my driveway. Price of firewood includes delivery but not stacking. He was very nice to chat with as well about his business and information about the firewood. BTW Note: Their price on White Ash Firewood is $130.00. (Photos attached) As I type this review on Sunday March 14, I am very pleased and happy with the firewood that I have been burning daily since delivery and when the day and night temperature is cold to enjoy a cozy and comfy fire in my family room. The whole load was nicely split as well so need to deal with large or heavy pieces. *Note any leftover firewood I will certainly enjoy burning it outdoors in my patio firepit as well. (Photos attached) They delivery on Monday through Saturday between the hours of 9- 5pm. Closed on Sunday. If you Need firewood? Call Samantha at (586) 286-5522. Leave message too. She also gave Me some great advice and a helpful tip: Order firewood in the Early Summer of June or July, when their supply is in stock so then I'm ready for Fall and Winter burning season! They accept Cash or Check for firewood payment. Five star busines. I highly recommend Cornelius Firewood Company! 3/14/2021

I've gotten a couple of deliveries from here...very reliable, reasonably priced, and one of the few…read moresuburban businesses that doesn't have outdated "oh, all of Detroit is awful and I'll get shot if I step foot in the city" attitudes...it's surprisingly difficult to get people to do deliveries to my area near downtown, despite it being a very safe neighborhood. I see there's a negative review on here from a week back about wet wood. I experienced the same thing with a delivery I had from the same time period. I spoke with Cornelius, and they're aware of this issue and he thinks they've identified the problem (a miscommunication with an employee as far as which wood should be getting loaded for delivery). I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, and Cornelius was very forthcoming with their mistake.
