This urgent care is open earlier than most in the area on a Saturday. We arrived right at opening and the staff was very friendly. The lobby was clean and inviting and the paperwork was pretty straight-forward. We waited in the lobby for about 10 minutes and then in the room for even less. The testing they administered was appropriate for the symptoms and the provider was kind and professional. She said she was going to order 3 prescriptions and only 2 were sent to the pharmacy (hence, 4 instead of 5 stars). The staff was kind and helpful when I called to correct the mistake. I didn't actually get seen but that was mostly by choice. I get all the way there, walk up to the front door only to see "sick visits must go to back door" posted inside where you can't see it from the parking lot. Certainly would be nice to know. Also you can only check in by scanning a QR code that directs you to a site for paperwork that has to be printed to fill out. Since I don't have a printer in my car, that was mildly annoying. But I also went around to the back of what I thought was the right building and it was locked. I told the receptionist and she responded with " well CLEARLY ya didn't go far enough. There's a big blue sign, can't miss it" in a super snotty tone. No thanks, I'd rather be sick. read more

Brought my son in for a fever that was at day 5 (I have three kids and have been through the process multiple times). I figured I'd get him checked out even though it seemed like a virus and needed to run its course. I was shocked when I was questioned by the receptionist as to why I have waited "almost a week" to get him checked and if I have even contacted his pediatrician (which is 40min away and I thought UC would just be more convenient). She then asked for the pediatricians name and began to write it down. Why?? She never asked any other questions or let me explain (like I would even need to with a receptionist!) but then proceeded to comment on how my son is just a little guy and next time I need to take him to his pediatrician rather than waiting for UC and how the tests probably won't even show anything now! I felt awful as a parent and honestly forgot to even mention I needed to be seen. Needless to say the dr confirmed it is in fact a virus and I am doing everything correctly. I will not be back because of the receptionist. read more

GLUC fearfully greeted us by abruptly demanding we "mask up" and telling us NOT to come anywhere near the front desk otherwise, even though my mom & I were the only ones in the waiting room. The staff seemed terrified of us as though they were living in a dystopian nightmare where anyone coming off the street intended to threaten their lives and the lives of their loved ones. Vaccine propaganda was all over the waiting room, including messages from Biden's White House on the TV. Having visited an urgent care 4 days ago, I can tell you there are kinder, more respectful urgent cares to visit besides fascistic GLUC. read more

Incredibly kind, respectful and knowledgeable staff! People complain because of the wait times but I understand. My own PCP wouldn't see me unless I had a negative PCR test within the last 48 hrs. People are forced to go to urgent care clinics because they have nowhere else to go unless of course they go to ER. patience is a virtue! The staff here is exemplary! Make sure you arrive one hour prior to close. If you show up anytime within an hour before closing they're going to turn you away and say they do no testing. This place sucks! read more

Saw them today and they were slammed with patients. Tells you something. Nice enough to warn me of the wait time. I returned and was seen promptly by both a nurse and then physician. Both were efficient and caring. The Doctor took the time to make sure all my questions were answered. The exam was through and the precribed treatment as expected. Two years ago, they diagnosed a serious problem and immediate trip to the hospital that got me the emergency treatment I needed. I recommend them to my friends and family without hesitation. read more

My S/O had to get a COVID test for work and someone else pulled up next to us and the guy next to us was coughing and visibly sick and the attendant literally had both the other guy and my guys cards together. Both ID's and insurance cards together in the same hand and proceeded to walk over and hand my guy his cards back, and we asked her to sanitize the cards considering she was interacting and touching the other (sick) mans things and our at the same time and she looked at us like we were dumb. DEFINITELY expected more of a doctors office. That's a definite COVID 19 breeding ground. She walked back in and brought the cards out with an alcohol wipe. Ridiculous. Be careful y'all. read more

Just dropped into the Oxford urgent care today. Only (2) people in the waiting room, so I thought this should be a quick, easy appointment. Not really. After filling out the extensive paperwork I was told that the wait to see a doctor would be at least (2) hours. I asked why that would be with only (2) patients in front of me & the receptionist responded that the computers were slow!?! Nothing urgent about this Urgent Care! Drove a couple miles down the street to the Lake Orion Urgent Care & they took care of me in less than 30 minutes. read more

This is the last place you want to go unless you have hours to wait. Better off to drive to anywhere within a 100 mile radius or maybe little farther than sit here for hours waiting for a 30 second test. They also claim not to have a restroom available, I'd imagine if you had come in for a urine test they'd find one for you as it makes them money. A family member went there for a covid test and sat in the parking lot for well over an hour waiting to be called into clinic. After 2 1/2 hours from the time they arrived a Dr finally made it into the room, now the wait for the actual test. Total time 2 1/2 hours.....I understand things take a little longer because of Covid staffing issues and precautions but this place books appointments knowing that they can't service the customer in a timely manner....income seems to be more important. read more

Hours say 9-9 online they are only open until 8. Walked in at 7:25 and lady at the window says sorry we are full for the night. There were 2 cars in the entire parking lot I'm guessing she didn't want to get stuck at work for an extra 10 or 15 minutes.... you know helping sick people.... like what her career entails. I noticed my boyfriend may have pink eye around 8:40pm, so we hopped in the car and rushed in before they closed at 9pm for summer hours (yes we realize we are the absolute worst people, but we had a wedding the next day and wanted to make sure we had a script ready to go in the morning). They were very accommodating and still took him in 5 minutes before they were supposed to close and wrote a prescription for him. Saved the day! read more

I recently took my daughter in and the doctor misdiagnosed her. I could have had her on tamiflu that day but instead waited until the next day to see her primary. They didn't even swab for the flu when she had all the symptoms. Do not go to this urgent care. Waste of time and money and puts your health At risk. Very disappointed and unhappy. read more

Let me just start off by saying that I have been going here for years and they have always been good. The only reason I gave four starts is for Kelly who is one of the nurses there, and she is so patient and kind. I have a massive fear of needles and she made sure that I was comfortable and went at my own pace when getting my COVID vaccine. The only person I have ever had a problem with is the woman at the front desk (I believe her name is Cindy) every time I have gone in there she is so rude and always acts like she is the only person doing anything, even with one person in the waiting room she always acts like there's 100 people waiting to be seen and she is the only person in the whole building. She always acts like everyone who comes up to the front desk is such a bother, and that she doesn't have any time for you. I have witnessed her snap at customers and I have even been on the receiving end of some of her sass. Unfortunately Kelly is leaving and because of that I may not be back. read more

They did a great job getting me in quickly. Filled out paperwork and was with a doctor within fifteen minutes. The staff was friendly and efficient. I'm glad I choose Great Lakes Urgent Care. I would definitely recommend this facility. read more

Went there because my ear was completely swollen shut and it was painful to even eat. After doing the vitals, the nurse proceeded to google possible causes in front of me and I was then told they could not do anything and to go to the hospital. The bill comes for $175 for them to google symptoms and send me somewhere else. I agree they should get something but that just seems ridiculous. read more
