Ashley Mews Condominium Association in downtown Ann Arbor maintains service agreements with Great Outdoors (GO) Seasonal Services for all Four Seasons. Over the top delighted with the Great Outdoors! All staff were friendly and very accommodating. From the start with Mike and the hours spent making plans, designing our front and back yards. His fastidious attention to detail and follow through was so impressive! Jake was amazing throughout our project which had a few surprises. That is the key to success, making decisions on the fly, while juggling clients, crews work load and mother nature. He and his crew were patient as some decisions were made as the project evolved. The second wave, our front yard, dragged on, so it could of been a nightmare, but it was not! The weather interfered, but we got it completed with smiles and sincerity from the crew. We had just an incredible experience with Mike and his team at Great Outdoors constructing our outdoor kitchen and patio. Mike did a fantastic job working with us with the design layout. He displayed incredible patience with our multiple iterations. He was always cognizant of costs and offered great suggestions that were cost sensitive.. After the design was complete, the team led by Daniel were thorough in their efforts - true craftsmen. Jamie, Mario, Eusebio all were excellent contributors, working through difficult weather conditions of rain and extreme heat. The finished product was outstanding. Great Outdoors installed a permeable paver patio for us, and they also shaped and mulched the border gardens along our fence line. We have worked with a lot of contractors the last few years, and this was one of the best experiences we've had - no micro-managing the install, and the final product is impeccable! They also did a great job with clean-up afterward. Jake was our crew leader, and he and his crew were very professional. I had a couple questions while the work was in progress. Jake took time to walk me through everything. He was very detail-oriented, and it was clear he cared about the quality of the install as well as our satisfaction. we have had them do several things in fall of 2023 and now in spring of 2024. Amber and her team removed invasives from the edges of our large yard. she was very knowledgeable, thorough and great communicator so we knew what and why she doing things she did. she came back this spring to apply fungicide to infected beds, explaining how we could help prevent further spreading.. Great Outdoors created a new bed area and the team of Fransisco and Alonso did the installation. they were exceptionally hardworking to get everything right. out of their way to make the whole area look good. Jay is the mower assigned to our yard which means he knows it. when we have special instructions he listens and has great follow through with attention to details. read more

I'm the President of the Condominium Board here in our small condo community in Ann Arbor and over the past couple years we have been relying on Great Outdoors for more and more of our landscaping and snow removal services. The people that work there are friendly, knowledgable, educated, and earnest, and the company treats their employees with respect and care. More specifically, Spenser and Francisco were here for the past two days weeding and cleaning out our common areas and they did a fantastic job. I have be working with Great Outdoors since its inception 30+ years ago.. Across the years we have added more and more of their service. They now do our lawn care, landscaping and maintenanc. Most recently we have added two small raised gardens within our fenced in yard, as deer have made gardening a waste of time anywhere else on the property. Today a garden crew lead by Jordan Canps refreshed the soil and the beds and prepared them for spring planting. as I have come to expect from Mike's crews, they were prompt, pleasant and respectful. I had holes in several places in my back yard from my puppy, also I had my step from the door to my back yard replaced with a slab so I need black dirt and seed , to cover the incline to the yard. lifting bags of black dirt isn't possible anymore so I requested Great Outdoors to do this for me. Reese came on one of our recent sunny days, I showed him the numerous problem spots he got them all filled in and seeded, then asked if I needed anything else done, all I needed to do was fence off the areas as much as possible. We are in Lodi Twp. We recently had stone steps leading up to our front door replaced by Great Outdoors. The job took two days and we are very happy with the results. The old steps were getting out of place and becoming unsafe. The team of Cesar, Jorge (and Alex on day one) did an excellent job of making this happen. Their team dynamic was awesome to watch. I switched my lawn service to Great Outdoors this year and all my expectations have been surpassed. Brandon has done an outstanding job cutting my lawn. He is so courteous and professional and always receptive to any requests. When he didn't know to cut the grass between the driveway of me and my neighbor, he returned early the next day after my call to cut it. He apologized to me personally even though I had forgotten to instruct him to cut that area. Very impressed with the professional and customer service approach of Great Outdoors! I am very pleased with Cynda and her crew they mow trim and treat my lawn. A portion of the property in the rear is fenced in and at the beginning of each year the staff omits mowing and or treating the lawn outside of the fence. Once call to the office corrects the situation immediately and a crew is sent to correct the oversight. We have lawn service from Great Outdoors. Our lawn crew has a new leader, Miles. He is doing a fine job servicing our lawn. He pays close attention to cutting the grass well but he does a great job of trimming all the edges. That's not easy because we have a border of medium sized rocks in the back that separate the landscaping beds. The whole area looks so good when he is done. Crew #2 from the Great Outdoors, Cortnee, Haley, Amber, and Savanah, did an outstanding job on our very mature, and overgrown landscaping. The lawn services are good. The billing person doesn't know what she's doing and has hassled us for 10 months over a service we did not contract for but they did anyway, even after we tried to physically stop them. Company will not respond to my emails, they just keep sending the bill. I'm fed up and going to report them to the BBB, etc. Maybe a company executive will see this and call me. Doubt it though.
