Since it had been several years, I took mine and my wife's Trek bikes to this place for a "tune…read moreup". The description of the service that I asked for was the annual service. I was told that the service would take about a week. After a week, I still hadn't received a phone call, so I called wheelie good. I was told that the bikes were ready, so I drove the 45 minutes to pick them up. The only person in the shop at the time was, I'm guessing a friend of the owner, or business. She had a very difficult time processing the payment and, in fact, had to process the bikes individually. After getting the bikes home, I stored them, and went on an extended vacation. After returning home, I decided to go for a ride. I immediately noticed that the bike would not shift. It didn't take long to notice that the rear derailleur was frozen. I took the cap off of the rear shift mechanism, and found that the cable was stuck. I freed up the cable with rust remover and lubed it. I checked the rest of the bike and found that none of the items on the annual check up list had been completed on my bike, or on my wife's bike. I learned a lot about bicycle mechanics that day, including cleaning. It turns out that I paid $192 for wheelie good to store our bikes for a week. I phoned the shop and told them what I found and all I received was a "sorry".

This more a…read moretestament about simple integrity and straightforwardness in business, which is becoming rarer and rarer as our civilization tumbles downhill. I'm from out of town, visiting my folks here. I took my 2015 Mustang to Speidell because I had a bunch of little scratches all over the car and I wanted a paint estimate. They told me straight away that the cost of painting it would be a lot, and, given the car's age and mileage, they asked if I'd be interested in other options, which I was. Then they recommended I take the car to Ming's and see what they could do about buffing some of the scratches out and then, if that didn't do the trick, considering some paint options. I did this and Ming's did a great job. But I just can't thank Speidell enough for pointing me their way and quickly grasping the situation and helping an out-of-towner. They could easily have tried to sell me thousands of bucks of paint work from them, but they gave me an honest appraisal of the work and the cost, and I just really appreciated how I was treated.

In October I had to have my shocks replaced after 11 years of wear and tear and those were fixed also, another great job. I have never had a problem with his work and will continue to go back to have work done.
