This park has a wide area of close cut grass with no foliage what so ever in the main area. What purpose does crew cut grass serve when there is not a shade tree in site?

Initially we were heading to Welch Village to go tubing down the cannon river, but decided not to follow the bus load into the entrance. Found this place. Great little beach area on Lake Pepin. Favorable restrooms and changing area. Little carts available to use to bring all the beach gear. Comes in handy for all the people who decide to colonize on their own little piece of the beach. Very clean picnic areas, people are friendly and there is a free air pump to blow up all the inflatable water toys. As nice as it is up north, it's nice down south too.

This past Memorial Day Weekend was our third stay at Neshnonoc. This has become our little oasis…read moreaway from home. Don't let the pictures fool you, this place was packed full of campers over Memorial Day weekend but cleared out on Memorial Day itself. The space is dog friendly and the grounds are well maintained. The real sell for us is the pool. They keep the water warm and clean while also having a hot tub. Although the pool is generally crawling with kids, we still appreciated the water. The views of the lake are beautiful and the shade from the trees on the property helped keep our camper cool. They have several full hook up spaces as well as W/E. They have a dump station on site and we also got decent service being near the town of West Salem. For those who don't have campers, you can also rent a cabin instead. On holiday weekends they generally have events (we saw a golf cart parade, a military event for the Memorial Day holiday, as well as a band). So far, this has been our favorite spot to camp.

The front nine was rather short from the forward tees so I eked out a few pars. Water plays a factor in a few holes. Not much for sand and there were a few rolling hills. Tee boxes were in bad shape but the greens were very nice. Back nine was hillier and more challenging with narrower fairways and more water challenges. Staff checking us in was friendly and helpful. The area is beautiful. The bike trail is near so we heard a few riders zooming past. We played fast. Our first 18 holes took about 3 hours. We bopped over to hole two after finishing 18 and played 6 more of the front nine until we caught up to a foursome. Beautiful day on the course.

They refused to give us a refund and would only give us a credit to come back within the next year or so, we reserve three camping areas and had to put a deposit down of 100 hundred per site so that's $300 that we have in credit for a place that we may not ever come back to the staff was very rude. Very disorganized, we asked if we could change days or reschedule due to the weather and the possible flooding and we're told no we would just lose the money if we didn't show up..

We followed the map and took the shortest walk to the falls from the "Water Falls Parking Lot". The hike there is short (maybe a mile?) but WOW those INCLINES haha. You almost immediately walk downhill at a crazy incline - crazier than I ever have haha. We were dreading the walk back up and it lived up to that dread hahaha. Personally bringing kids this way would be an absolute no go for me. Once we got to the waterfalls it was worth it! Though we were underprepared - I would've brought water, and a swim suite / towel, and shoes that can get wet! Theres so many spots to sit near or in the water! Great photo spots and it didn't feel over crowded too. If you like hikes there were many more paths leading to and from the falls. I would come in a different, longer, less inclined route to the falls from our car next time! But there will be a next time!
