We hired him for an event at a social recreation center for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and he was easily one of the biggest highlights of the entire event. He was incredibly friendly, personable, patient, and professional with every person he interacted with. Our members absolutely loved him, and he made each of them feel special. His balloon art was genuinely mind-blowing. His creations were more detailed and impressive than anything I have seen from other balloon artists, yet he made them remarkably fast. What really elevated his work were the small artistic touches. The perfectly drawn eyes, noses, lips, and other details brought every creation to life. I also loved how creative he was about making the balloons wearable. For example, my butterfly was designed as a bracelet, which made it even more fun and memorable. He did not simply provide balloon art. He created an experience, connected beautifully with our members, and became the star of the event. I cannot recommend him highly enough. We did, however, encounter communication mishaps such as delayed responses and some confusion and part of it was my mistake as I still haven't updated my Yelp account to my current legal name. We got that straightened out but communication still didn't improve much. I understand we're all busy (especially their weekends) but I wanted all the details and planning squared away ahead of the event to get it out of the way. It was anxiety-inducing for me. I found some time to take a short break and walked over to where she was painting faces on the teens. I thought that was so cool and I always wanted to get my face painted - especially by good painters! You know I had to jump on that! When she was clear of teens, I casually walked over there and was still pondering if I should get something painted. She lured me in with a smile and a kind/gentle gesture (patting the seat chair in front of her). I was sold! I looked at some of the Disney characters on a few pages and thought they were cool. She then handed me another sheet that was filled with more exotic paintings (eg peacock feathers with glitter, rainbow colored designs, etc). I was totally "down" for that! "Which one will take you the fastest to complete?" I yelled over the loud music DJed as I needed to get back to my post (photobooth area). She pointed at this purplish-bluish glitter - what looks like - peacock feather painting. This covered 1/4 of the face. I took it as (1) she wanted to do something different than Disney characters that she's been doing all day and night, and (2) it was not that it was the fastest design but I think she thought this would look good on my face. "OK!" After a very wet dab of the sponge, and a few brushes from (what seems like) a thin brush, two(2) minutes later she's done! VERDICT I am totally booking her at the next suitable event to fit her services, even if that means its coming straight out of my own pocket. She's not only good but she's super nice and sweet. I get there and realize, I look basic! My world stops. This unique snowflake can't be looking basic. Luckily, I spot my new bestie, Lisa (btw Lisa, we're besties now), she's doing face painting at the event. I knew that my basic look is about to transform. I go over to Lisa and I ask her to freestyle whatever. My only real request is that it needs to have a ton of glitter. Only glitter can save me from being basic. She and I seemed to be on the same wavelink because she got me. It's like she knew what my deep desire far inside my rainbows and unicorns filled heart was. She tells me, "I got you and i got this". Ok, maybe she didn't use those exact words but it was similar. I close my eyes and felt like my fairy godmother was there for me as she was for my twin, Cinderella. Bibitty, bobitty bop and WHAM!
