Initially, the room is so bare empty. I expected a little more "interesting atmosphere." Another member of our group has done 4 escape rooms and mentioned this one was a "low budget" model. We didnt receive any input or direction of what to start with, and ended up calling for clues endlessly. When we opened the room w the barrels and called for a clue they told us we went out of order? We weren't supposed to be there yet? The wall cabinet w a keypad was the straw that broke the camels back. 4 or 5 members of our group had entered the code with no luck opening the cabinet. When time expired and the attendant came in the room, she also tried "the same" code several times and the cabinet did not open! Wth? This was obviously a malfunction and the responsibility of Escape Room South, and I believe we should receive a refund. (She offered to give us 5 extra minutes ! Hahaha!) With the completion of this room here with my family, it is a doable thing to do and you won't come out of there ready to brawl. Booked the room beforehand on their website. Pricing for these rooms is reasonable. When you think about other modes of entertainment, it is right on par. We took on the Bigfoots Revenge. The room felt a bit claustrophobic at first, but I chalk that up to them actually theming this out to the max. You weren't just in a room, you went into an experience. The staff here are amazing. They nudge you if they overhear you having an argument of what type of animal might have been on the wall. Like other rooms you are allowed clues, but it's best to see if you can see if you figure it out on your own. Spoiler alert, we escaped. Once out, you have the option to take a group photo of victory. Definitely give this place a try.
