Until fraud showed up in my account, I was satisfied but when fraudulent checks were written which were way out of sequence with current checks clearing the account, I found their service horrendous. I feel like the institution that should be watching my money has absolutely no safeguards in place running in the background. We are rolling out AI in our technology but WF doesn't even have systems that catch the easiest problems. For example, over a year ago, there was a check presented on my account and cleared which was written out of another company name, account and with an unauthorized signature. When I called WF on it, they said it was a fluke and their security system is the among the best. I should not have trusted their assurances. A year later I had 5 checks for a substantial amount of money presented on my account which were way out of sequence with the wrong font and they cleared. They returned one of them immediately without notifying me of the threat of fraud but not the other 4 checks. Two months later after filing of a timely fraud report, they still have not returned the money to me and have repeatedly denied the claim. In addition, the first time I reported fraud, even though I was given confirmation numbers for the case, the confirmation numbers were wrong and they did not have record of the claim even though my ATT records show a very long call with them. I can go into detail about how Wells Fargo did not do their basic duty of protecting my funds but there is so much more. If you want a bank to do what you think a bank should do for you, don't bank here. If they treat a 30-year customer this way, you won't have a chance. Take your money and run!

When I came across union state bank I meet with now retired Dave former Vice President of the branch and he was the kindest and open minded person I have ever meet. He took the time to get to know me and understand my goals and vision. A few years in l, the bank change names a "Few" times and eventually became VeraBank. At first the change of a few staff members was hard to say goodbye to some great people, but the new crew and management (Rasheedah) were just as kind and always willing to spend the extra time to help in any situation. The tellers (Ruth and Hazel ) are truly family. They greet me by name every time, they know my kids names and ask about the health and well being of my family. Recently, as we are going through the battle of Covid 19 many small businesses are being negatively impacted and it is one of the scariest moments in my life.
